Leslie put our safari experience over the top with his expertise and humor!
5/5

Our safari group had such a great experience. From booking until we said good-bye we were treated extremely well. I know that our driver was mindful of what people in our group talked about during the first few hours and then remembered everything. He catered to our every need for the rest of the time. We enjoyed the time in the truck and the time at the lodging locations. It was all above our expectations.

A dream trip come true!
5/5

Brenda and TCS were amazing and ensured our 10th anniversary was the trip of a lifetime. From the personalized itinerary review with Brenda to the care taken with finalizing every detail, we knew we were always in good hands. Through early and constant communications, we were quite at ease with every part of the plan before we started travel. All of the safari properties Brenda found were amazing! Having elephants in your back yard at sunrise is something you’ll never forget.

Brenda was also in contact throughout our trip to ensure everything was going well. When one issue did arise in Zanzibar, Brenda quickly had one of her local contacts meet with us to ensure we were taken care of. The care throughout the trip was above and beyond, but this problem solving support was next level!

For the safari itself, we couldn’t have asked for more! Our guide Victor was a true professional. From pickup at the airport, he was always ensuring our experience was top notch. His vast knowledge of the parks was a great asset, as we always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. He was eager to explain so many things along the journey, and was patient and flexible to our desires while we were out in the truck. He was more than happy to sit and watch the animals as long as we wanted, or to move along when we were ready. His experience and knowledge was the key to our seeing everything we had dreamed of, and more. While it’s never a guarantee, we just knew we would see the Big 5!

If you are considering a Tanzania safari, this is the best you can do. Call or email Brenda today!

Brenda helped us plan a trip of a lifetime, and it was perfect!
5/5

Our experience was exceptional. We didn't have to worry about a single thing from the moment we booked the trip. The tour operator, Brenda, was kind, patient and really cared about our trip planning, understanding this might be the only time we may be able to get to Tanzania. Our tour guide, in one word, fantastic. He knew a lot about everything. As birders, he was patient and made observations for us as we checked off life list birds, one after the other! He knew every area we went, where to be and where to see all of the animals. We felt safe, amazed, excited and elated with the entire trip!

Kakasii is knowledgeable, fun, and an excellent guide overall!
5/5

We had a fantastic family (2 adults, 4 kids ages 5-15) safari! Our guide made it fun and informative. Brenda booked us an amazing lodge that we thoroughly enjoyed staying at. My only regret is that we couldn't stay one day longer to see another park.

Nolle was dedicated, knowledgeable, and fun
5/5

Every part of the trip was well planned and executed smoothly! Our guide was dedicated to ensuring that the game drives were filled with a wonderful variety of wild life. Nolle was interested in and responsive to our interests and goals. He also included supplies so we had a private breakfast picnic one morning. We had an amazing adventure during our time in our guide’s care!

They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time ever

Brenda of Tanzania Choice, Safari’s put together the best family vacation ever. She was quick to reply to questions and went out of her way to accommodate flight cancellations and a Covid scare. We were met at Kilimanjaro airport by our guide Leslie who must be the best guide in the world, we spent two days in three parks, and saw everything that we hoped to see. The 3 different lodges
chosen for us were first class and the staff welcoming. We are ready to go again. I will recommend Tanzania choice Safari to all my colleagues.

Absolutely perfect from planning stage to safari
5/5

I am SO glad I chose Tanzania Choice Safaris for our trip. After initially trying to plan a trip independently, I gave up when I realized you really need expert advice for this. Brenda spent a lot of time with me choosing the perfect locations, properties, and timing, customized to our preferences. We wanted a mix of lodges and traditional tent camps with varying levels of luxury/budget throughout the trip and it all worked out perfectly. I am also very happy that we used a private guide/driver instead of joining random groups on shared game drives throughout the trip at various properties.

Our guide/driver Leslie was flawless and I would request him specifically if I return. He is a genuinely caring and great human being who loves to help, is fun to spend a week or more with, and is super knowledgeable about all animals. I was especially impressed with his knowledge about birds, which not every guide understands with such familiarity. He was also an excellent professional and technical driver, clearly more skilled than many of the others on the road. He had a map of every location in his head, always knowing where best to go. We saw everything we wanted to see and more.

Tanzania Choice Safaris is located in Tanzania and is a locally-owned company with all local employees. It was nice to support a small, family-operated business that really cares for you personally and understands the ever-changing local conditions. Brenda even checked up on us after we finished the safari and went to the islands independently for a diving portion of the trip.

I HIGHLY recommend this company and experience.

Joseph was filled with knowledge about every animal we came across, he was very patient and fantastic at informative small talk, he understands that you are there to explore and enjoy and he would be more than happy to sit and look at a parrot for hours with you.

100% wonderful from the first contact with Brenda thru Leslie dropping us off at the airport.
5/5

Brenda was very good at listening to us. We wanted to travel during our winter and wanted rustic but not too primitive to fairly nice accomodations without paying 5 star resort prices. She was good about explaining the pros (birthing season and green grass) vs the cons (hot and sometimes green tall grass makes it harder to see smaller animals) of going on safari in February. The lodges we stayed in were nicer than we expected and included pools. We also spent some nights in bush camps, which I describe as glamping. They were also nicer than I expected. Big beds (no army cots) and private bathrooms with showers.
Leslie was our driver. He was perfect. Funny, personable, knowledgeable, excellent at spotting animals, and an all-around nice guy. Anytime we saw another driver stuck in the mud, he was the first to stop to help. One of our group members is an avid bird watcher. Leslie is also interested in birds, so was the perfect fit for us.
Tanzania Choice Safaris does not combine groups. You only travel with whomever you sign up with. We reduced our per person cost by going with a group of 6 and were still comfortable in the Land Cruiser.
We stayed at the Pazuri Inn near Arusha for our recuperating day upon arrival. Noel (another driver and Leslie's brother) took us around Arusha the first day and he was also great.
On the safari, we visited Tarangire National Park, staying at Tarangire Simba Lodge. It was beautiful and elephants and other animals visited us at the watering hole during happy hour. We did a 2 hour walking safari with a park ranger. Very interesting and several elephants followed us to the parking spot.
We did a half day cultural tour of Mto wa Mbu. Worthwhile and informative. Stayed at Eileen's Trees Inn. Nice with a pool. It poured that evening so we stayed under cover.
Next was Ngorongo Crater, which was amazing. Stayed at Ndutu Bush camp. Large tents, the aforementioned glamping. Heard hyenas and lions in the night. We opted for the early morning hot air balloon ride over Nduto. I highly recommend it.
From there we went to the Ngorongo Conservation area and then on to Serengeti National park, staying at Central Serengeti Bush camp.
I mentioned that it was birthing season. For me, that was the highlight of the trip. We saw baby elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, gazelles, warthogs, lions, monkeys, baboons, and more.
I can't say enough about the great service throughout the entire planning process and the whole adventure. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
