Best experience ever. If you want the best od the best: ask for Jacob. Really happy with everything
5/5

Thanks to Jacob it was simply thw best experience of our lifes. Dream come true, how to come back soon!
We took the 4 night/4 day Safari. We got to Kilimanjaro airport and a driver was waiting for us to go to the first hotel: Green Mountain Hotel, a good hotel located in Arusha, just for sleeping and waking up early to get to know Jacob, our guide/driver, who picked us up at 8 am and our adventure started.
First day: Tarangire: amazing. We saw cheetahs, lions, elephants, A LEOPARD, hyenas, zebras, impalas and many more! After an amazing lunch and posterior game drives, we went to Tarangire Safari Lodge to see the sunset and to get a good night of sleep in a very comftable room (we even heard some lions next to our room at night and got to see some elephants around).
Second day: we saw a bunch of animals in Tarangire, and then drove straight to Ngorongoro entrance, just to go to Serengeti and get to see some more animals. Once again: Jacob, the experienced driver told us a bunch of fun facts about the parks and animals and we learnt A LOT with him. When we got to Serengeti (the most epic place on earth), we saw a pack of lions, a lioness with her baby and dropped some tears of course. Somehow we saw another leopard (which is very rare) and a lot of animals. One can’t imagine how much is going on at Serengeti National Park. We went to sleep to an even better hotel than the one we stayed before: Serengeti Luxury Tented Camps. Got an impressive ‘karibu’ by the staff and the room was out of this world. Forgot to mention: some Masais are part of the staff and they even help you to get to you room at night so it’s actually very safe.
Third day: we spent the day from early morning until 2 p.m. at Serengeti and ONCE AGAIN: LEOPARD. This time was the most epic because we saw it on the grass, just 5 meters away from our car (on the left side) and we had a lion eating a buffalo that it has just killed 10 meters away (on the right side). After some of the best moments and saying ‘asante’ to our friend Jacob, we went back to our fourth and last hotel: Rhino Loddge, a cozy hotel with extremely friendly staff and zebras and waterbucks just in front of our room.
Fourth day: we got to Ngorongoro Crater at 8am, the only one of the great 5 missing: Rhino. After 2.5 hours of seeing lions, hippos, flamingos, hyenas, buffalos and so on, we saw them: TWO BLACK RHINOS on the distance to make this Safari the best part of the best trip of our lifes (our honeymoon).

Once again big props to JACOB, the best driver/guide that we could ever get. He got for us special tanzanian food (Saladin), we had Coca Cola and fresh water the whole time and it’s good to know that Tanzanians, in this case Jacob, are such a kind, welcoming and genuine people. If we ever do a Safari again (that we hope so), we definitely will ask Meru Slopes to get us Jacob as a driver so we can have anothe unbelievable experience such as the one that we just had.

ASANTE JACOB, ASANTE MERU SLOPES,

Outstanding Experience On Safari With Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris!
5/5

We recently completed a 5 day safari with Meru Slopes and it’s been the most amazing experience from start to finish!
Geofrey, the owner, was a fantastic host. He communicated very well and responded quickly to any questions before we left home, but was always on hand at his office in the hotel in Arusha too.
Our tour guide, Emanuel, was the friendliest and most lovely person you’ll ever wish to meet! He was not only extremely knowledgeable, but highly skilled and considerate and was all round just the best guide we could’ve hoped for. Emanuel shared all his passion, knowledge, and experience, and guided us through the national parks with great skill and ease.
Our travelling chef, called Gidione, made up the team and he was absolutely fantastic too! The freshly cooked meals we shared with our group, that he created at the lodges and campsites was exceptional! Breakfast, lunch and dinner surpassed anything we expected.
We cannot fault this team and all their hard work! Thank you Meru Slopes for making memories we will treasure forever.
If you are looking for a tour company in Tanzania, look no further than Meru Slopes!!

A profound Safari Experience
5/5

We were looking for a local tour operator for a safari and found Meru Slopes. We then booked a 7-day private safari to the Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara National Parks with Geofrey from Meru Slopes. The deposit process went smoothly, and we paid the rest on-site in Arusha. At Kilimanjaro Airport, we were picked up by a Geofrey staff member with a name tag and taken to Arusha for the first night. From there, the next day, we embarked on a 8-day journey through all the national parks with our guide Robert and our chef Dulla. We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Robert! His knowledge of flora and fauna is immense, and you can feel his years of experience and incredible enthusiasm for the beauty of nature. He has an incredible eye for spotting animals and knows the Serengeti like no other. We love photography, and many of the photos would never have been possible without his professionalism. Dulla spoiled us with freshly cooked delicacies every day, leaving nothing to be desired! We even had fresh homemade bread every day.

A personal highlight were the starry nights in the Serengeti and at the Ngorongoro Crater. Simply beautiful - highly recommended!

Unforgettable!
5/5

We had a really nice trip, all organised, but also flexible to our wishes. Our guide Douglas gave us interessting facts (we could ask him everything) and our cook Moshi always created delicious food - both really friendly, funny and they made sure that we feel well. All sleeping equipment was available and it is a nice experience to sleep in the nature in the tent (although a little bit cold;)). Just recommendable!!

Meru Slopes was Awesome
5/5

We had a great experience with Meru Slopes. Other operators we checked with couldn't believe the price we got - which made us nervous, until we actually did the Safari. We were not disappointed. We had a great driver & guide (Daniel) who was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife. He taught us a lot about all the birds and wildlife, and he never hurried us to leave a spot. Our early mornings (highly recommended) meant that we had some unencumbered wildlife encounters without others around. Salim (our cook) wise likewise excellent. We are vegetarian, and Salim did a great job of making delicious food. We had different soups every night and hot lunches every day. Geofrey (the owner/manager) was super communicative, very helpful, and when we had an issue (on our end) with a bank transfer, there was never a worry from Geofrey. If you have a budget and need an inexpensive option, you will see exactly the same wildlife on this trip and the guide, cook, food & transportation is excellent.

Amazing safari experience
5/5

From pick up at Kilimanjaro airport to Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Mayanara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and back via the hot springs to Kilimanjaro, what a trip! The guide Edi was exceptional and always seemed to know where to find the most exciting things to see each day...from lions or leopards in trees to a cheetah that just had its kill lined up ready to start his breakfast....lions eating enmasse, baby wildebeest running beside mum, zebra being stalked by jackals.....from sunrise to sunset he had it all covered! Elephants surrounding us and being told off by mum with her huge flapping ears as she protected her baby.....and the nerdy teenage elephant stomping his foot and throwing a large branch towards us. The smell from the hippopotamus will not be forgotten....or the sound of the buffalo snorting and munching on the other side of the tent in Simba camp. The rhino being photobombed by wildebeest was the icing on the cake. Giraffes popping their heads up to the highest trees and baboons being laid back in the morning sun. So many animals and birds, a real sight to behold. Every member of staff made us welcome and Geoffrey was so helpful. On our last day he organised a driver to take us to springs on the way to the airport and the water was so clear and cosy...a real treat to finish our time in Tanzania. Thank you all for making this such a great holiday

Amazing Meru Slopes Serengeti safari - 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater
5/5

I had a great safari experience with Meru Slopes. They are a local company with very knowledgeable drivers. They were very accommodating to my travel dates. Pickup at the airport was smooth. Safari experience was unparalleled. I did a joining group tour and I was so fortunate to get a great group. Robert was our driver. I honestly think he was the best driver in all of the Serengeti, no joke. He really understands the jeep (Land cruiser) and how to maneuver the terrain. He was super nice and had a keen eye in spotting the animals. Our cook, Dula, was fun and laid back, very helpful and such a great chef. My transport to and from the airport was provided by Nuru. He also does safari drives. He was very nice and and was able to answer all my questions regarding the animals and how the tour would go. I was able to meet the owner of the company, Geofrey, on my last day. He was very kind and really cares about the experience his clients have. Email dialogue with him when setting up the safari was straight forward and timely. He was able to answer all of my questions. The tents are in good conditio and completely waterproof. Sleeping bags and sleeping pads are also provided. All in all, it was an amazing experience. Robert is awesome.

An Amazing Experience
5/5

We had been wanting to do this trip for years and the Meru Slopes Tour was very reasonably priced. The service was excellent: they picked us up from the airport and since we were on a limited time-frame they took us straight to the park to start our safari the same day. The entire staff was very accommodating and made it a very enjoyable experience.

Our driver, Robert, was great at giving explanations about where we were and what we were about to see and drawing our attention to things we might have missed. Our cook, Salim, did a great job serving excellent dishes even at the remote campsite in the Serengeti. They also took us to buy souvenirs at places we wouldn't get ripped off and even to visit a Maasai village. Overall it was a very well organized tour and we loved the all-inclusive aspect as it meant we didn't have to worry about currency exchanges.

Despite the low cost of this tour, it was a great 5 day experience and one we'd be eager to repeat.
