Good Experience
4/5

Tanzania is amazing, and my guide was very friendly and informative. The accommodations and food were excellent. There are only two reasons I did not give this five stars. The first being the truck had five separate mechanical issues within two days in the middle of the tour. The guide did his best to make sure it had limited impact on my experience. I expected some kind of issues given the road conditions. Its part of the adventure. I thought five was too many and the vehicle should not have been on the safari. It was a private luxury safari and the company made no effort to compensate me for the inconvenience, not even a souvenir or something to show their regrets. The second is I was taken to a few shops and felt pressured to spend money. If I wanted to leave before I bought anything I was sent back in with some excuse of the truck needing a rest or something stupid like that. Very tacky. These are minor issues and the animals and landscapes were amazing. I saw everything I came for. Unfortunately, the issues described prevented me from giving them five stars.

Unforgettable
5/5

The trip lasted 8 nights in total. Emanuel was waiting for us at the Kilimanjaro airport when we arrived. He took us to Christina House for the first night. There they treated us first class. The food, typical of the place, was very rich. We went to the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Serengeti. In the serengeti we stayed at the tented camp Serengeti Heritage for four nights. It is in the middle of the serengeti, surrounded by animals that pass meters away from you. To leave the tent it is necessary to warn the guard by means of a walkie-talkie to escort you to the dining room. At night all animals are heard and very close. The attention in the tented camp is exceptional. The food very good. The great migration is a unique spectacle. Then we went back to Arusha for the last night where Emanuel took us to eat typical barbecue from there, spectacular. The truck is a very comfortable Land Cruiser, there is plenty of space for the legs and has a refrigerator to store water and beer. It has a lifting roof so you have a 360 view. As for Emanuel, our guide, I only have words of thanks. Always smiling and well predisposed to everything we asked. He showed us all the animals we asked for (including the big five) and explained in detail the behavior, feeding, etc. of each of them. When the safari was over, he took us to have a few beers in a pantry (that only guides or locals go) in the Serengeti watching the sun go down, incredible. We were able to see lion and cheetah hunts. Lions mating. I will definitely go back and ask that the guide be emanuel again. Thank you very much.

An unforgettable Safari organised by a superb team
5/5

Hard to fault anything about this trip. Naiman was super communicative and was very flexible when we had to change our dates. The airport pick up went seamlessly. The accomodation recommended and booked was good and very comfortable. We stayed a night at Mount Meru in Arusha at the start of our trip which had a lovely pool and gardens. That evening Hajid our guide came to meet us to introduce himself and discuss our safari. A nice touch. He arrived punctually the next morning and was a safe driver who was very good company answering lots of questions along the way. We visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. The Ngorongoro Farm Lodge was sublime. Beautiful big rooms, fantastic food and beautiful well kept grounds and pool with a wonderful welcome. Angata Tented Camp was an unforgettable experience with good food, attentive staff and listening to the animals at night in the surrounding wilds from a super comfortable bed. Impressively we even had a proper flushing ensuite toilet and hot shower!

The real hero of the trip has to be our guide Hajid. He went over and above our expectations. He found everything we wanted to see and more. He took us to great spots to view the great migration and in our comparatively short trip he found us around 25 lions, 3 cheetahs, rhinos, a wildebeest giving birth, lions mating, hippos, hyenas making short work of a carcass, jackals, bat eared foxes and any number of birds. Even before we even entered any of the parks he found great herds of giraffes and it was not just the animals. When I expressed some curiosity about the metal discs at the end of tree trunks being transported by a lorry, he stopped to ask why they did this (prevents termites). He told us so much about local life and also took us to visit a Masai Village which was interesting though a bit expensive - bargain heavily if you buy anything. The beaded item I bought for US$4.00 started out at US$30!
On our last day we were taken to the Coffee Lodge in Arusha for lunch. It was a very good meal and a nice way to end our trip. Naiman's brother came to get feedback which I thought showed how good this company is and how much they care that their clients are fully satisfied.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Quest. Their quote came in as the cheapest quote on Safaribookings.com but in no way was this reflected in the quality of service, standards of accommodation and it was really great value for money.

More than just a safari
5/5

During my stay in Africa, I went with six friends on several safaris (Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti) with this company and I cannot recommend it enough. The guides know what they are doing, they lead you to the best places to see animals but they also listen to you when you want to go somewhere else. The cooks are incredible and the food is delicious.

At the end of day, the staff at Quest Horizon Safaris were more friends than staff members!

A wonderful safari that gives you memories for life.
5/5

I have an incredibly nice and rewarding 5 day safari with Quest Horizon Safaris. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He had a great photo interest and found the perfect angles and places to see the different animals of the savannah. In the end we managed to see Big 5 and we were incredibly finding memories to take home. We did a private trip and slept in tents through the trip.

Reliable Partner for private safari in Tanzania - great experience guaranteed
5/5

We went on private 12-days safari with Quest Horizon in September 2017. The itinerary covered northern Tanzania: Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Central Serengeti and North Serengeti. We had a wonderful time, everything was perfectly arranged and we could fully focus on enyoying the nature. Recommended lodges and camps were great and food was really outstanding. We saw amazing nature scenes and lots of animals from pretty close distance - inluding big 5 of course. Our guide Fadhili was very engaged and thanks to his friendliness and sense of humor we had a lot of fun together. Fully recommended!

Great trip with Quest Horizon!
5/5

We were very happy with Quest safaris, who organised a great trip for us to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire in September, on short notice. Naiman came to meet us at our lodge in Arusha to discuss the details beforehand, and also after to get our feedback - a nice touch. Our guide Rasheed was very knowledgeable and also a great spotter - in 3 days we saw 59 lions! We also saw the rest of the big 5! It was really unbelieveable! We stayed in a tent, budget safari, which was very exciting and plenty comfortable. The cook Pius made great food - my wife is a vegetarian, and I eat meat, but he catered for us both. The Land Cruiser was a bit old, but still comfortable, and actually outdrove the newer models on the steep hills up from Serengeti. Very good value for money on our trip. Serengeti is a must-see, and I can strongly recommend Quest Horizon!!! We hade 3 nights/4 days - and opted to maximize the time in Serengeti. In Ngorongoro and Tarangire half a day is enough, but do try to have a full day in Serengeti.
