Everything I wanted out of an African safari and more.
5/5

The three parks we visited were very different ecologically. First was Tangire where we saw elephants, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests. Next was Ngorogoro Crater where we saw hippos, lions, jackals, hyenas, and rhino. Last day was Lake Manyara where we saw groups of baboons. I recommend visiting a Massai village.

Amazing guide, wonderful experience
5/5

while planning our trip, Naiman was so helpful and considerate of our needs, gave us many options and was so nice and friendly. Sifuni was our guide for our 4 day safari. he was amazing, very thoughtful, always had an interesting story to tell, taught us a lot about the wild life and also about Tanzania. we felt like royalty even though we picked out the budget option for our trip and we were not expecting to get everything that was given to us. a private jeep, great accommodations even while in a tent.
after we finished, Naiman took the time to meet us at our hotel to make sure we had a good time.
This was a once in a life time experience for us and I give all the credit to this wonderful company! Thank you!

I will return!
5/5

Quest Horizon was very easy to work with; Naiman was extremely accommodating in answering my never-ending questions. My guide Okul was very helpful and knowledgeable, going beyond his scope of duty to make me feel comfortable and welcome in Tanzania and to tell me more about the country's culture. We saw great sights (a lion hunt, the wildebeests crossing the Mara...etc) and also got a chance to visit the Maasai, watch soccer in a local pub and visit a local home, which was really interesting to see.

I got an experience of not just safari (which was more than amazing on its own already), but a country with its rich heritage, culture and practices. It was an excellent 9 days spent with Quest Horizon and I look forward to returning with them someday!

A wonderful safari trip
5/5

Our safari trip with Quest Horizon was even better than my daughter and I had hoped for - it really was an amazing experience. Naiman was very helpful and planned our trip to cover everything we had requested; he even met us at our hotel to ensure that the trip was as we wanted.
Our excellent guide, Englebert, was kind, considerate and great fun. With his passion and extensive knowledge of wildlife, conservation and culture he taught us a huge amount and showed us so much. He even treated us to lunch on the Serengeti beside a pride of lions, with no other jeeps in sight, which was an unforgettable experience.
I would highly recommend Quest Horizon Safaris for its excellent, personal service and high standards.

Amazing experience, well organised and with prepared and helpful guide
5/5

The organization proved to be helpful during the preparation of the trip, and helped me to organize my staying in Arusha after the Safari. (I had some extra days that I wanted to spend backpacking around in Tanzania).
I decided for a camping safari, anyway the accommodation provided for me in Arusha was a really nice and characteristic place which I enjoyed.
The experience during the Safari was greatly improved by a very experienced and documented guide named Issack which was able to provide any kind of information on the wildlife (If needed books were available with picture and information on the animals as well) as well as on the life of the communities we encounter during the trip.
Despite the decision to take the safari at the end of the rain season when animals are scattered on the land we were able to spot any sort of predators (leopard and cheetah included) and the rhinos in Ngorongoro crater.
I had an amazing experience with some unforgettable moments during the game drives and met nice and helpful people which company I enjoyed.

The review below is the personal opinion of Monica and not that of SafariBookings.
All was as expected, but driver was simply a driver, not a guide
3/5

Hotels and services were exactly as agreed when organising the trip.
Everything went fine except for the fact that the driver was simply acting as a driver, and not doing much explanations about animals, landscape, people, local customs...
Even if he was always polite and correct, we expected more interaction or information from his side, to really profit our trip and learn about the place and the people of Tanzania.
Appart from that, the trip was ok.

Superb and personalized service result in a trip filled with pleasant surprises and majestic wonders
5/5

My daughter was nearing the completion of a 6 month internship in Arusha and we decided to join her at the end her stay in Africa with a safari through the Serengeti and a beach holiday in Zanzibar. She put me in touch with Quest Horizon Safaris. From our initial contact for the planning process, I was very pleased with the professionalism and genuine desire to create an adventure to satisfy both our needs and budget.

On the day we were to begin the safari, our guide, Sifuni and our cook, Joseph
arrived at the agreed upon time and quickly and efficiently loaded up the clean, comfortable safari vehicle. Along the drive to the NgoroNgoro Crater, Sifuni was able to answer our never ending questions about the Maasai people, local customs, indigenous flora and fauna...etc. It became clear quickly that he was a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. That would have been enough, but he also had a deep respect and passion for the culture and wildlife which became most evident when we were on the game drives. He had this uncanny ability to spot a leopard's tail swinging from a tree at quite a distance, and often we would be one of the first safari vehicles on the scene of magnificent wildlife. We even had the incredible experience of seeing a pair of elusive and shy rhinoceros. Mention must be made for our talented cook, Joseph, who magically produced delicious and satisfying meals at the campsites....hearty and inventive breakfasts, lunches and creative (considering the lack of kitchen facilities) dinners including pizza and bisquits baked over coals and even a stuffed roast chicken, and the pleasant surprise of desserts!

We saw many species of animals (too numerous to mention all), but our most memorable included majestic herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, prides of lions, a tree filled with the unusual marabou stork and of course the magnificent cats!

Quest Horizon also coordinated the necessary flights from the Seregenti airstrip to Zanzibar. An amazing holiday!

I am not only extremely satisfied but absolutely delighted with our safari/beach holiday experiences through Quest Horizon Safaris. Highly and enthusiastically recommended!

We could not have had a better safari experience.
5/5

We arranged our visit to Arusha and the game parks through Frida Sway at Urafiki Lodge near Arusha. She welcomed our family and provided a comfortable, friendly home from home for our stay.
She put us in touch with Quest and we had a provisional plan before we arrived in Tanzania. After arrival we discussed further options and our final plan included Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti.

Our guide, Salim, was excellent....very knowledgeable, friendly, fun and completely reliable. His English was perfect and his knowledge of animals and birds was extraordinary. We shared New Year's Eve with him and the staff and other guests at a bush camp and brought in 2017 round a campfire. An unforgettable experience.
The accommodations arranged for at Country Lodge, Karatu, and the bush camp were ideal and everyone made us feel very welcome. Thank you, Salim!

Quest also arranged a local community coffee tour where we learned a lot and, again, felt very well looked after.

Thanks to Frida and Urafiki Lodge introducing us to Quest we could not have had a better safari experience.

Thank you, everyone.

The experience of a lifetime
5/5

Everything has been absolutely perfect.
The service. The comms. The accomodations, especially Kubu Kubu in the Serengeti.
Sifuni, our guide, has exceeded any expectation and without him nothing would have been the same. He is fun, kind, extremely knowledgeable, discrete, keen to put in the extra mile to deliver the most memorable and unforgettable experience to his guests.
We have seen the big 5, with the thinks only from the distance in the NgoroNgoro crater because that's the time of the year when they migrate so not easy to spot them.
The Serengeti is a magical place, certainly my favorite before NgoroNgoro and Manyara lake even though they are beautiful too.
The emotions a safari delivers are endless and impossible to describe. Quest Horizon just made it even better. I certainly recommend them for your holiday in Tanzania.
