Safe, reliable, professional and able to deal with all challenges
Our guide Thomas,amazing driver brought us safe and sound from Nairobi to Amboselli. Traffic, roads and driving techniques very different in Kenja to what we are accustomed to however Thomas was the best man for the job. We broke down however Thomas was amazing in organising a mechanic and had the fuel pipe repaired in a very reasonable time with us all staying calm. Amazing landscape view in Amboselli, amazing wildlife, amazing resort for a break, simply out of this world.
Reliable, professional, safety first, well organised. Thank you!

Very helpful and knowledgeable
Hallmark travel was a breeze to work with from my initial request all the way up until we arrived in Kenya. Our guides arrived on time and got us to our Safari on time despite a serious traffic jam. It was impressive how they worked with the people in town to get us around the traffic and back on track. Our guides had answers to all of our questions and were very knowledgeable. We also received nice gifts from the company which was a nice surprise.

Successful 38 day trip to Africa! Reliable, honest and all around experts on Africa travel!
I didn't make it easy for Hallmark, as I wanted a 38 day trip for our family that included culture, animals, history, etc. But Levis worked many days and nights with me to meet all my goals as we went back and forth on the phone and emails ironing out the best places to visit or skip. He was very patient with my complicated and unique requests and never gave up. What made it really all possible is that Levis knew every location so well, I never could stump him...any time I asked about visiting somewhere he would tell me the pros and cons and honestly tell me whether it was worth it or suggest an alternative. He knows all these countries so well and you can tell he's visited and researched every tourist spot.
We had a great time visiting 4 countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda) and everyone in the family was happy with the trip. In Kenya, Hallmark uses their own car/driver, so we had Richard who knew everything about the areas we visited. He kept the car clean and safe each day, helped us find what we needed at stores and was always happy to help us even as we tried to find local food at the local markets where tourists never go. He even took us to his house since it was on the way, and we got to hang out with his wife and kids...how nice is that? Afterwards he kept in touch and asked how our trip was going.
The rest of the trip was in other countries with Hallmark's partners. I was very impressed at how we got to see everything on the itinerary even as we kept switching drivers in every country, nothing got lost. The handoffs country to country were very smooth, Levis gave me contact info for each driver, so I could always contact them in advance on Whatsapp. Levis was always in touch and whenever I had a question or some new spur of the moment request, he would try to help me.
This is a very personal company...when we arrived to start our trip in Nairobi, Levis even met us at the airport, and then the following night took us out to Carnivore along with his wife, so we could talk about daily life and business.
I highly recommend you work with Hallmark and Levis if you want honest expertise to plan your trip and top quality execution to make it happen successfully. Hallmark made our trip a complete success!

Kenya and Rwanda safari
May 2023
We just returned from a 12 days Kenya Safari and Rwanda Gorillas tour. From the very start of planning, Levis was prompt and very detail oriented in his suggestions for our itinerary. From the time that we landed in Nairobi, our guide Richard was there with us while we were in Kenya. He drove us to 4 different parks in Kenya: Amboseli park, Aberdare park, Lake Nakuru and finally the Masai Mara. In each park he drove us around on Safari. We saw all of the big 5 and hundreds of other animals. The highlights were seeing two separate lion prides hunting prey and having a leopard walk within feet of our vehicle. Richard was extremely pleasant and prompt and was very skilled in finding animals and providing information regarding points of interest. We then flew to Rwanda and were picked up by Max. We visited the Genocide Memorial in Kigali and then were driven to Volcanos National Park. We had a great trek to visit the mountain gorillas the next day. We spent a wonderful hour with a family of 18 gorillas.
Our accommodations were top notch and we were treated wonderfully. We were very happy with Hallmark Travel Planners and Levis in planning and implementing a great trip

A 50th Wedding Anniversary Dream Come True!
This was one of the best vacations we ever had and we have been on quite a few in our lives. The guides were excellent, the itineray was perfectly planned and the places we visited and stayed were memorable. The food was delicious and we have absolutely no complaints at all. We just have praise, praise, praise for such a remarkable experience. We were treated like royalty from the moment we stepped out of the airport. The skilled drivers always kept us safe and provided water for us daily. They even took us shopping, since we had trouble with our luggage, which was not at all any fault of this tour company. In fact, they went out of their way to keep checking the airport to see if our luggage ever arrived late. This tour company is so concerned about every detail and they make our journey so personal and private. We picked the dates and the length of time we wanted to spend in each country and they planned the rest. When you read the words....You dream it, They plan it, and You live it....that is the absolute truth. We cannot say enough about this vacation, but we know we will remember it, all the animals we saw, and the fantastic people we met for the rest of our lives. God bless all of you and thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. You all made our 50th anniversary the Best Ever!

Our long tour was perfect!
Our trip through Africa was complicated by the Covid epidemic and had to be delayed by 14 months. Hallmark Travel arranged for all of our test (7 of them) to be taken and results provided. Our trip was amazing and our guides were equal to the task, the guides were at each port of entry on time with a name plate. Rwanda was the exception due to the country's requirement for a 24 hour isolation upon arrival. Our amazing trip was very long and included: Egypt, Rwanda, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Victoria Falls. Hotels were 5 star or historically significant (we got to stay in same room that the Gorilla lady used in Rwanda which was amazing.) In Egypt we saw old Cairo, sailed the Nile from Luxor to Aswan, got close the Pyramids and museums. In Rwanda we visited a large group of gorillas. In Tanzania we did an amazing river hike, saw the flamingos, toured the amazing crater, and had long journey through the Serengeti. In Nigeria we toured the Masai Mari and another Nat Park in Nairobi. Our final stop was the amazing Victoria Falls. All in all every part of our trip was a full 10 out of 10. We booked a one day Birding Specific professionally guided tour, through Nairobi National Park prior to our 10 day safari. Levis interpreted our needs and wants and came up with a great plan including a land rover for optimum photography. We needed to alter our plan slightly and that was not a problem. We felt very confident. Patrick our guide was very knowledgeable about bird identification, migration, behaviour etc. He was so willing to move the land rover for the best photos etc. and it was evident that he wanted us to have the best birding experience possible. Patrick had all kinds of birding data he was willing to share with us but unfortunately his voice did not carry beyond the front seats, so those further back missed out on a lot of information. Our day was extremely full and Patrick kept trying to find us more birds. We ended up with an unofficial number of 63 birds but possibly 73 once photo ID's are made. That is a pretty fantastic day of birding. Also, we were able to sight and watch African mammals at leisure. Aslo, thank you to Patrick who knew that we wanted to see the elephant tusk sights and made that possible with photo ops available. All in all it was a great day provided by Hallmark Planning.
The box lunch was really tasty and very fulfilling cudos to the catering company. Thank you one and all for making our day so special!
