Amazing Safari with Wonderful People...Book with Tanzania Roadside!
Booking a safari is scary! Paul responded to us quickly and communicated with us about our requests and planned out our trip even better then we could have. Very detailed itinerary was emailed to us for our approval and everything was handled by Paul. Doing a bank transfer is crazy scary but this company is very trustworthy and reliable. We had an amazing time, our guide Philemon was so great. He was patient, funny and protective of us throughout our safari. We ate dinner with him and talked about life and safari and it was so nice to meet such a great person on the other side of the world, we are still in touch with him even after the trip. Never once did we feel unsafe in Africa - in fact we were sad when it was time to head to Zanzibar at the end of safari - we didn't want to leave Philemon. Except for the black Rhino we saw the big five and it was unbelievable. Elephants right next to the truck, the cheetah jumped on our hood and the lioness scratched her nails on our tire! Zanzibar was beautiful we stayed at Warere resort, small place but great service, wonderful people and accommodations. We specifically wanted a small resort without crowds and that's exactly what we got. Be sure to visit Stone Town and Prison Island to see the tortoises they are so sweet and love attention. While relaxing in Zanzibar at Nungwi Beach we swam with sea turtles and all I can say is it is unbelievable. All the locals are so friendly and helpful, we live in Tennessee and our state is one of the friendliest but the people of Tanzania are so wonderful. This safari was a trip of a lifetime and it did not disappoint, all due to Paul and his employees making this trip unforgettable for us. Book with Tanzania Roadside you will not be disappointed!

Outstanding service, AMAZING trip!
We've just returned from a 11-day trip to Tanzania, arranged by Tanzania Roadside Expeditions and I'm still dreaming about it! Paul was so informative and helpful as we were putting together the itinerary. He responded to every question (and there were many!) almost immediately. Our tour guide, Walter, was amazing! He told us everything! About the culture, the people, how to speak Swahili -- we learned so much from him. And his knowledge about the animals and parks we visited was exceptional! The accommodations were lovely - we really felt like we were on safari, sleeping with the animals (but safe). I would definitely recommend you use Paul. You won't be disappointed!

Best experience with tanzania roadside expeditions
I booked a 6 Day safari luxury tour for me and my friend. first i had a lot of questions and i could ask through WhatsApp and Paul gave me all the exact informations, very good service. At our Arrival the driver was getting us at the Airport and bring us to the Hotel where Paul was already waiting for us. he explained day by day what we will see at the safari.
The next day , our safari guide James picked us up to start the safari tour. He is very friendly and knows everything about the animals,wildlife,safari & more. i recommend tanzania roadside expeditions because it was a perfect safari tour , the best service i ever saw with a safari. thank you very much for this Special experience. An amazing experience from start to finish
My friend and I booked a 5 day safari with Roadside expeditions to see Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorogoro. Paul was very helpful when we were booking the Safari and answered all our questions. The Safari was pretty much exactly how he described it. The only surprise was how close the wildlife would get to our vehicle. The 1st day in Tarangire we parked to watch a group of elephants grazing and they ended up walking so close to us we could hear them eating. James our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
When I go back I won’t hesitate to book another Safari with Roadside expeditions.

Communications from first contact, making travel arrangements - ongoing during the vacation, as well as after our trip - were prompt and accommodating. Drivers organized by Paul were always on time and very friendly. Paul customized our African experience to suit our needs exactly as requested.
James, our Safari driver is the best in the business. He located and identified every species that we wanted to see and much, much more. His kind, thoughtful, respectful mannerism endeared us immensely. He always patiently waited while we photographed the wildlife that we saw, no matter how long it took to get the desired photo. He is a true professional.
We cannot express enough how much these 2 gentlemen went above and beyond our expectations to make our safari tour a cherished life-time memory.

A memorable safari trip to Tanzania during calving season
We started our Tanzanian safari and it was like stepping into a wonderland. We traveled through wild places, visiting Tarangire, Ndutu, the grand Serengeti for a couple of nights, and the stunning Ngorongoro Crater.
Our hotels were amazing, each with its own charm. Gran Melia Arusha gave us a warm welcome, hinting at the luxury to come. Serena Lake Manyara had incredible views that fit right in with the surroundings. Melia Serengeti was a peaceful hideaway among the animals, and Serena Ngorongoro was a snug place to relax after our exciting days.
But the star of our trip was Justin, our guide. He knew the savannah like the back of his hand and found the Big 5 animals quickly—three on the first day alone! Other guides even followed his lead. Justin wasn’t just about finding animals; he knew all about the land’s history and the balance of nature. He was always there, happy to chat, and super professional. He made our trip special with his friendly attitude and constant kindness. One amazing moment was when Justin spotted a group of lions that we couldn’t see. He guessed they were getting ready to hunt. He was right—later, we saw over 30 lions eating a bison. It was an intense and rare sight, showing the raw side of nature.
Our visit was during the calving season, so we saw lots of baby animals. It was a soft side to the wildness we saw with the lions. We got to see the full circle of life, from babies being cared for to predators in action.
Our safari was a mix of beautiful views, fancy hotels, and the best guidance. Being part of nature’s flow was special, and Justin played a big part in making our trip unforgettable. If you want to explore Africa’s heart, this safari will stay with you forever.

Overall it was an amazing safari experience! Paul was great and very reactive upon initial contact. He was helpful at every step along the process. He met us upon arrival at the hotel in Arusha and after the safari to get a feedback from us.
Ezekial Masai accompanied us during the whole safari. He was very kind with our child and very knowledgeable about wildlife. He drove very safely and always tended to our needs. He was present all the time yet seemed to manage a distance to let the family enjoy the safari. Very professional!
We will hopefully be back to see rhinos and cheetahs (Yes, this is not a zoo!) even though we saw scores of animals. Memories for life!

Amazing Experience
While looking for a trip to Tanzania, we came across Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. Like many of you here reading from afar, we relied heavily on reviews. It is clear that they absolutely earned all of these fantastic reviews. From start to finish, they were truly amazing!
We reached out to Paul and he was very professional. He sent us some options and changed them multiple times as we worked to get our final itinerary. They are very flexible which allows you to really customize the trip. We did the 6-day luxury safari, but we also really like one tented lodge from the mid-range package and Paul was able to easily flip out our lodge choice to stay in the tented lodge. Customization also allowed us to stay at a certain budget. Paul even met us on the front end to go over the safari, and at the end to say goodbye.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by our driver for the trip Ezekiel Masai. We are family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children- 10 and 8) and I was nervous about having kids in the car for the number of hours we would be traveling around. However, Ezekiel quickly put us at ease and was very patient with all of us. He is extremely knowledgeable and we did ask him a ton of questions along the way! We saw every animal that we wanted to see, including the leopard, often going long distances driving to make sure we saw. He is truly an amazing guide and person, and I cannot recommend him enough to others!

Incredible experience from start to finish! Tanzania Roadside Expeditions was incredible helpful and accommodating planning and organizing our safari. Our guide Ezekiel Senkoro picked us up at our hotel and was extremely informative, kind, considerate, knowledgable, entertaining, and professional throughout our trip. Ezekiel was very accommodating and tailored each day to our wishes whether it be staying out on a game drive longer or coming back into the lodges early for a little rest. We were very blessed to have seen the Big Five on our safari due in large part to Ezekiel being incredible at spotting animals out on the drives and being extremely knowledgable of the parks. All of the accommodations were extremely nice and fit well to the description of a luxury safari. We could not have been more impressed with both Tanzania Roadside Expeditions or Ezekiel and highly recommend both! We cannot wait to go back on safari with them!

Dream-Trip with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions
We had a wonderful trip to Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Paul is a very competent organizer and always responded promptly during the planning phase and when we had questions. The joy of meeting each other was great when we were picked up at the airport. Justine, our safari guide, my husband, and I got along very well. Justine was very attentive and enthusiastic, ensuring that we had a great time and could see the Big Five.
