Overall good tour
Pros:
-great guide (Saddam)
-car not packed, so easy to shuffle around
-Saddam went extra mile to get jacket
Cons:
-Lake naivasha boat not included: what’s the point of including lake if need to pay extra? note: they’re transparent about this.
-mediocre lunches, limited variety, and not suitable for all diets
-not transparent about Hell’s Gate pricing. Needed to pay extra 15$ at gate

An unforgettable seven-day safari with Axis Africa — thank you, Mohamed
I booked the seven-day Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli joining safari with Axis Africa after reading the glowing online reviews, and the company fully lived up to them. From my initial enquiries to the final day of the trip, everything was smooth and well organised. Tabitha in the office answered all my questions before booking, and her communication was always clear and responsive. Our group had the pleasure of having Mohamed as our guide, and he was truly fantastic. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the whole trip unforgettable. We saw the Big Five, and during the long drives he not only answered our questions but also told us about life in Kenya, local traditions, the people and family life. These conversations made the experience feel much more personal. His communication throughout the safari was excellent: we always knew where we were going, what we would be doing and what time we would be picked up the next day. From day one, he tried to remember everyone's names, which was a lovely touch. He also warned us before moving the car to get a different view of the animals, helping everyone avoid injury. These may seem like small details, but they showed how much he cared about giving guests the best possible experience. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe and well looked after throughout the trip.
It is also worth noting that, with a joining safari, the group can change after the third or fourth day. My fellow travellers and I had not realised this beforehand. For the final part of my tour in Amboseli, I joined another group, with John as our guide. He was also knowledgeable and brought us back to Nairobi safe and sound.
I had an amazing time in Kenya. I met so many lovely people and saw countless incredible animals. Seeing them in their natural habitat for the very first time was truly special, and the sunset in the Masai Mara was unforgettable. If you are thinking about doing a safari, I would wholeheartedly recommend booking with Axis Africa — you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Axis Africa and Mohamed.

Excelent 2 days of safari
It was an incredible experience from start to finish! Our guide, Kelvin, did everything possible to make sure we could see as many animals as possible. He was kind, funny and very knowledgeable, and he shared lots of interesting facts and curiosities about the animals throughout the safari.
After each adventure, we arrived at beautiful, safe and comfortable places to rest, with delicious dinners and great breakfasts. They also provided us with bottled water constantly and took care of absolutely everything, so we could simply relax and enjoy the experience.
I 100% recommend this company, and especially our guide KELVIN! He made the experience even more special.

We came to know about Axis Safari through a friend. It has been an amazing safari experience. The safari went without a hitch because of the meticulousness and professionalism of Axis. They took care of everything for us and held our hand through the entire safari. Tabitha was always ready to answer our questions. She helped us with everything, booking a taxi to and from the airport. Once our tour guide came to pick us up at the hotel, we were in great hands. Jumbe was punctual, dependable and very knowledgeable. He made sure we saw maximum wildlife with minimum fuss. Whenever there was a wildlife sighting, magically we were there to see it.

We had an absolutely wonderful four-day safari with Axis, visiting the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. From booking to the end of the trip, communication was smooth, clear, and reliable, and the value for money was excellent.
A special mention to our guide, Kelvin Ngamia, who made the experience truly unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, passionate, patient, and a very safe driver. He always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience, while taking the time to explain the wildlife and answer our many questions.
We were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, as well as cheetahs and leopards—including the unforgettable sight of a leopard hunting a serval cat! At Lake Nakuru, we also saw white rhinos and hundreds of flamingos.
Cost effective while not compromising on quality
Everything was planned and went very smoothly. Accomodation, food, transportation and best of all our driver and guide Kelvin Ngamia. He is knowledgeable, kind, patient, professional, and safe. He put all the effort and made the experience unforgettable for us.
