Legitimate company. Private tour. Very skilled tour guide. Comfortable trip.
What we liked:
- Antonio Safaris is legitimate. We found it through safaribookings website. We fully paid for the whole tour around 2 weeks before our trip, downpayment through credit card and remaining payment through bank transfer. For the bank transfer, Antonio Safaris will give the details. They also let us know immediately right after they received the full amount, which just took around 1-2 days.
- Antonio Safaris handled our extra request well with regards to an additional morning game drive on the final day. They are approachable and quick to reply on any inquiries we have.
- Our booking was from August 28 to 31 of 2026.
- The tour was private, there was only us (my wife and I) on the Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle. Since there's only the 2 of us plus the driver, the vehicle is very spacious. The seats being higher to the ground along with the big clear windows all around the vehicle made our viewing very nice. It also has a pop-up roof which was even nicer for viewing! It's a comfortable vehicle, and a durable one. We never had any issues with it.
- Enock, our tour guide, has really made this trip for us. His excellent decision making on what to do on situations, his skill in spotting animals, his skill in driving, and his knowledge of the terrain and animal behavior really gave us our best chance to see the animals. We saw the big five in as little as 1 late afternoon plus 2 full days. I'm not saying it is guaranteed to see all of them, but Enoch definitely increased our chances.
- It's one thing to know how to get around the park, which Enock really does, but it's totally another level to know the animal behavior and take advantage of that to be on the best spots, which Enock also does!
- Enoch describes the animal behavior to us, the tendencies. He also lets us know about the trees and plants in the area. Overall, the whole trip was very informative and interesting.
- What we've seen: the big 5, feeding lions (2 times), feeding lions that chased a Hyena away, Topi walking straight to the bush where a Cheetah is hiding, later to only know that it was a decoy for their young to pass by the other side, a leopard waiting for an ambush in a swamp, mating ostrich, mating lion (Enock observed just by sound and placed us there), and many more others.
- The included camp along with this tour was the Sentrim Mara Camp. All meals are buffet-style. The room that we had was very spacious and lovely. The lounge/lobby was very relaxing, it's really nice to just seat there and take life slowly.
- Our booking includes a nature walk trip around the camp in the evening. It was very nice, a very cultural walk. The guide (a person working on the camp) had us stroll around the camp, describing how the different herbs that we can see are used on their daily life, how the daily life goes on there, historical things about the people, and many more others. It's a really interesting activity.
Things for improvement
- For our tour guide, Enock, a bit of a stronger voice would be nice as there are times when he's not so easy to understand due to the soft voice.
- Another thing for our tour guide, Enock, he is so results-oriented, the problem is, sometimes he does things without orienting us on what he's doing, like if we stopped on a gate, we have no idea if should we alight, or stay. On the other hand though, he is so results-oriented, and we really loved that about him.
What we didn't like:
- In Sentrim Mara Camp, the tipping. For example, I wanted to bring my own luggage but they will insist to do so, and then look at us after waiting for a tip. Every night, someone will assist us from the lobby area to the room, and it's really awkward at the end. Worst part, when we are already checking-out, someone assisted us, and they literally just stayed there waiting for the tip so we gave them some. After that, we had a meal first, when we came back, someone assisted to lift the bags to the vehicle, which again asked for tip. What's even worse? The smirk on the face after we gave them their mandatory tip, no thank you, no smile, nothing. Totally uncomfortable tipping culture.
- I love evening walks, the problem here is, someone always need to assist you when walking from the lobby area to the room, for safety purposes. I can understand why they do that, unfortunately though it will make you feel restricted as you're not totally free, if they already closed the lights around the lobby, it feels "polite" to just head back to your room as well as they will just wait there for us as someone needs to walks us back.
Overall, I'll defintely book with Antonio Safaris again if given the chance to go back there. And 101% will ask for Enock as our tour guide again!

Wonderful experience
We had an amazing trip with Antonio safaris. We saw everything we were hoping to see, and more. Communication was quick and easy. Our guide Evans took excellent care of us during the whole trip. We stayed in some very nice accommodations throughout the trip.

I love the staff!
We had an incredible time exploring Nairobi National Park and the CBD with Michael and Naomi!
Naomi made booking effortless with her quick responses, and Michael blew us away—he knows every bird by name!
They are knowledgeable, patient, very easy to talk to, and what I loved the most was that they were wonderfully authentic.

Great, highly customised, safari experience
A week long safari with Antonio safaris was great. From the get go, Edna helped us customise the trip exactly how we wanted it and once we got picked up we had nothing else to worry about until the end of the trip. Everything was very well organised and our driver Harman was great. There was no single bird or animal we pointed to him that he didnt know to tell us more about. Thank you all.
Professional, reliable and co-operative
We had a fantastic experience with Charles as our safari guide in Kenya. He was extremely professional, reliable and always on time.
Charles was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and taught us so much about the different animals, their behaviour and the areas we visited. He made a real effort throughout the safari to show us as much wildlife as possible and worked very hard to help us find the animals we particularly wanted to see.
We saw an incredible variety of animals and really appreciated how patient and committed Charles was to making sure we had the best possible experience. He was also friendly, approachable and a pleasure to spend our safari with.

The time of our lives, in the safest pair of hands!
Everything from the beginning was quick, clear and detailed, leaving no question unanswered. Naomi (organiser) understood what we were looking for from the beginning and had patience with us.
The accommodation and activities we were extremely happy with, especially as first time safari goers.
Pius (our guide) - the sweetest, nicest, knowledgable animal spotter, everything you would want in a guide. He consistently made sure we were happy, that everything at the accommodation was good. Everyone should ask for him!

Perfect Safari on a Budget
Even though we had a limited budget, Antonio perfectly organized the tour and provided us with a diverse range of experiences, while choosing accommodations that were economical but still clean and comfortable.
With the help of our guide, Charls, we saw the African Big Five, cheetahs, flamingos, and many other animals. He knew how to position the vehicle well for photography and was quick to respond to the animals’ behavior and movements.
The company was also very quick to respond to our requests via email and WeChat, which greatly helped us arrange our itinerary smoothly.
If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be that the quotation did not include the credit card surcharge. We did not realize this until the last moment. Still, even including the surcharge, the overall experience was absolutely worth it, and we were able to avoid some of the additional fees by paying in cash.

Incredible, complete and affordable private safari
We had a short trip, only 4 days and just 2 people, but it couldn’t have been more complete. We visited Naivasha, Hell’s Gate, Crescent Island, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara, and managed to do everything we wanted and even more.
Before booking, we compared many different companies, and Antonio Safaris offered us the best price and the most flexibility. They tailored the itinerary, activities, accommodation and budget exactly to our needs. In our case, the whole experience cost approximately $1,300–1,500 USD per person, even though there were only two of us and the safari was completely private. Everything was included: accommodation, all meals, transportation, park fees, activities and our guide. We didn’t have to pay for any unexpected extras during the trip, apart from the tips we voluntarily chose to give, which came to around $50 USD per person in total.
We especially want to mention Edna, who organized everything for us. She always replied incredibly quickly, was absolutely lovely and adjusted the trip as many times as necessary until it was exactly what we wanted. Everything went perfectly.
Our guide, Michaell, was with us throughout the four days. The agency offered us the option of having a Spanish-speaking guide, which we really appreciated. He drove for many hours, explained everything in detail and made a huge effort to find all the animals for us.
We saw zebras, thousands of wildebeest, many different types of antelope, buffalo, warthogs (the famous “Pumba”), giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles and countless birds, including ostriches, pelicans and flamingos. The most incredible thing was that we saw all of them several times and from less than 10 metres away, some even much closer. We had been on safaris in other countries before, but we had never seen so many animals or been able to see them from so close. The vehicle was also safe, comfortable and offered excellent visibility.
10/10 for the organization, service, guide, experience and value for money. We couldn’t be happier and would 100% recommend Antonio Safaris.
