TOP professionalism for an EXCELLENT result
It was not easy to contact and compare hundreds of agencies but it was worth it! Philomena's availability and professionalism immediately captured us by solving all our doubts and planning a dream safari at an unbeatable price. We chose a safari with lodge accommodation because we wanted to face this experience in the most comfortable and relaxing way possible and Philomena far exceeded all our expectations: the lodges booked were incredible !! cleanliness, kindness of the staff and EXCELLENT food. We were really surprised and delighted.
Our guide was Elisante, who seems to have been born and raised in the parks of Tanzania as he knew perfectly and by heart all the most strategic points of the parks we visited, managing to give us a unique and complete experience. She never needed a map, she drove for hours and hours in the wildest spots of the parks without ever straying from the main floor of our safari. He is also an excellent driver knowing perfectly what to do (and how to do) during the crowded times of the vehicles of the various agencies to keep you always on the front line.
The safari vehicle was like new and with all the necessary amenities for a TOP safari: pull-out roof, refrigerator, power sockets, radio to communicate with other vehicles, etc.

Exemplary service and great time in Africa
We had plenty of time to go on a 3 day Safari to take this tour and see the wildlife. The Serengeti National Park is one of the outstanding national parks we visited which is quite expansive with abundant wildlife. We saw all of the animals up close including multiple lions, and buffalo, herds of zebra and giraffe, crocodile as well as hippos. Great value and photography on this three day safari.
We all had a great time going on this tour. Horace ,our guide, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable on where to find different animals, very kind and helpful in all of our needs.He picked us up right on agreed time,thank you Horace the tour was great and well organised by the company!!
We loved the way the African Savannah Trekkers took time to plan our travel while taking us through every process in a detailed manner. The fact that they were very sensitive in regards to Covid-19 protocols was an additional plus on their end. Our experience in Africa, being the first time was made easier and more interesting thanks to this tour operator!! Worth a five star from me.The airport transfer was done very professionally.Great reception too, from airport transfer to visiting the attractions, their website had everything true.
I would definitely recommend them anyday.

Excellent service from the beginning!
My husband and I took a 6 day private safari with African Savannah Trekkers. We were so glad we chose them for our safari experience. We organised it through Philomena who was excellent at all communication prior to the trip, answering all our questions thoroughly and promptly. She was also flexible regarding the security deposit which we very much appreciated while travelling during a pandemic. We started our trip in Arusha, then visited the Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. Our guide Eli was excellent and very knowledgeable about the animals and really went the extra mile to make sure we got that great photo. We stayed at the Ngorongoro Farm House and Kati Kati which I recommend! We always had hot water, comfortable beds, beautiful views and friendly service. The food was also excellent and most of the ingredients were sourced and grown on the property. We saw all of the "big five" over the course of the 6 days, as well as cheetahs on two different occasions in the Serengeti! It was the trip of a lifetime and I'm so glad we went with Eli and African Savannah Trekkers. I would highly recommend them!

With my wife we chose the 6-day private safari with African Savannah Trekkers and it was, without a doubt, a success. We organized it through Philomena, who answered all our questions from the first minute. You were also flexible with the security deposit, which we greatly appreciated considering the last minute changes with the pandemic. We start our trip in Arusha, then we visit Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. Our guide Eli was excellent. A memorable trip with an amazing team
We had an amazing Safari experience thanks to our guide and the company. Our 5 days and 4 night trip was perfectly organized, from the pickup point; to the visit of Tarangire and the Serengeti national parks, having not forgotten the wonderful Ngorongoro crater. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable on wildlife, we got unforgettable impressions due to him. He ensured we had; the best experience possible. He knew where and when to get the best sights, this made our trip unforgettable. I highly recommend organizing safaris with this operator. The services were remarkable not to mention the communication, I cannot fail to admit all that is said about the company in reviews is true. They deliver more than expected! Experience of a lifetime!
Huge thanks to Eli and Philo for giving us a magical experience and memory for life!
We did a 4 day safari tour including Serengeti, Ngorngoro crater and Lake Manyara. The accommodations were all top standard and quality, including a very cool experience spending a night in a clamping tent on the Serengeti. Communication and coordination prior to our trip worked very smooth and we felt we definitely got a lot of value for our money.
Thanks to Eli, our very knowledgeable and experienced guide (20+ years as a safari guide), we were fortunate enough to see the big 5 and a lot of other wildlife. He went out of his way to make our trip as great as possible.
I would recommend anyone looking for a lifetime experience to use African Savannah Trekkers for their safari!

Great and unforgettable safari
Tanzania should be the world's finest destination. It has very natural advantage and the most extraordinary range of landscapes.
This trip to the savannah offered the classic image of a safari in Africa, and rightly so; the rolling hills and grassy plains really are stocked full of all the African animals people expect to see, including the crowd-pulling Big Five. My husband and i just returned from a 4nights 5 day safari neatly organized by this tour operator. The circuit was exactly as mentioned in the itinerary and our overall impression was excellent! The communication was superb, fast and straight to the point, as all our questions were answered, doubts were cleared and attended to by email as well as by phone. From the minute the trip started to when it ended, we experienced no hustles! Full marks to African Savannah Trekkers on that count. I highly recommend organizing a trip with them.
Our guide was Gasper, a great guy with good knowledge on the parks. He was also very patient with us and left most of the decisions on watching particular game to us, but would gently prod if there was something more eye catching. He really made the experience outstanding! We were very lucky to see all of the big 5, a lion pride feasting on an early morning kill in the Serengeti, an elephant charge and more wildlife than you can shake a stick at. The accommodation booked for us was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. Not to forget the jeep that we drove in was in good condition and always spotlessly clean. The overall experience with AST was very professional and it is our pleasure working with them.

A small company but very professional, flexible and very focusing to clients
An amazing trip to the Serengeti exceeded our expectations.
We are very pleased to have chosen this company for our planned 4 Day Safari in Tanzania. We searched for a private tour for 6 people, sent inquiries to several operators, but here we found the clearest and easiest communication to arrange and plan a tour that meets our budget and preferences. Philomena communicates very well answering all questions quickly, flexible and clearly, she delves into our situation for desires and gives great advice. And finally the taylor made itinerary and the trip itself was amazing, the experience really enjoyed our entire company. Our guide Elisante turned out to be a great person, educated and very respectable and responsible, as well as a highly experienced driver. We drove fast, funny and safe. Eli worked hard to find all the animals we wanted to observe. He managed to watch the Leopards very closely. Everything was great from start to finish. The accommodations recommended by Philomena were great as it could be (we chose a medium price level). Just maybe except for the last overnight in Arusha city the hotel was complicated.
However, in Safari we had a great time and good food and interesting accommodation . Thank you Philo and Eli! We will definitely recommend you to other travelers

AMAZING!!
Amazing amazing amazing!!! The best experience that I will never ever forget.
From the moment that I arrived in Arusha everything was exceptional. African savannah safaris organised everything for me from airport transfers, tours, safaris and a beautiful home stay which was outstanding. Our guide “E” knew everything about the communities, animals, history, landscape’s and mountains around Tanzania. He was so knowledgeable and the kindest sweetest guy. We saw so many animals, including all of the big 5 which was insane! The lodges throughout our 3 night safari were stunning. I was not expecting them to be as beautiful as they were and the food was delicious!
Philomena was very helpful and answered any questions that we had and recommended accommodation for us. She even organised airport transfers when we arrived in Zanzibar 1 week later. She was excellent! Thank you philomena.

World-class national parks and experience!
My family and I had an awesome short trip in Tanzania, thanks to this tour operator that facilitated a big part of it. It was a joyous and memorable one.
The tour guide was polite and patient with us. He was quite knowledgeable, especially about where to take good photos of the view and animals. He identified and talked about every animal we spotted in detail.
It was a 5 night and 6-day safari that was full of fun and enjoyment! We got to visit the Serengeti,Ngorongoro,Manyara and Tarangire national park. The view of Lake Manyara national park was enchanting, as a photographer, I loved to witness the wildlife spectacles of the world.
The accommodation recommended was quite comfortable, top standard and affordable with a great view of the park!
Communication with this operator was great, they ensured we were 100% satisfied with the tailored itinerary and would advise accordingly when necessary.
