Exceeded our expectations.

Jamal was our guide for the week. Murchison Falls, rhino, chimpanzee, gorilla trekking. All of the treks were amazing. We had a great time with Jamal. Highly recommended.

I had a great time with Ngoni Safari in Uganda and Rwanda. Arthur, the guide, was always polite and helpful, he tells a lot about the country and the people and answers all questions.
Only to be recommended!

Unforgettable Trip to Uganda
5/5

I organized my trip with Ngoni Safaris Uganda Ltd for a 14 day visit and it was the best decision ever. From the moment I contacted Sedrick, he was quick to respond to all my inquiries and helped me plan an itinerary that met all my requirements. Sedrick was very professional, extremely good with responding to my queries and always willing to guide me.
Finally the day came when I reached Uganda and my trip began. David was my guide and he is an encyclopedia of knowledge. David was already waiting for me at the airport and from then on he was with me for all the 14 days. His patience in answering all my questions, his knowledge and his great nature were some of the qualities that my made my trip so memorable.
During my visit, I got to see 4 of the big 5 (leopard was the elusive one) but I saw so many other animals that I have no regrets (a black Mamba, thousands of Egyptian bats in a bat cave, dung beetles, Shoebill stork, Gorillas, chimpanzees). The encounter with the gorillas and the chimpanzees was so close that it was unbelievable. The lodges and food was great and all the local people I met were very friendly.
I have been to Ethiopia, Rwanda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania before and this trip was certainly one of the best trips that I had. I would very strongly recommend Ngoni Safaris as your team if you are planning on a visit to Uganda. Thanks you Sedrick and David for such a great trip.

Stellar
5/5

I was looking for a tour operator able to do a custom 3-day cross-border package from Western Uganda into Rwanda. Based on great reviews from Trip Advisor, I found Ngoni Safaris. I contacted them by email and WhatsApp with the itinerary and activities I was looking for and I received a quote within hours. They offered a package tailored to my interests and schedule at great value for the price. In the weeks before my tour, I sorted out logistics and miscellaneous questions with Sedrick, the manager, and he was always courteous, accessible, responsive and professional. On the eve of my tour, I got a message reminding me of the time I needed to be ready for my pickup. I was picked up on time from my hotel in a Ngoni Safaris vehicle driven by Sedrick. He took me to the airport for my flight to Kihihi airstrip. Upon landing, I was picked up by my driver, Jamal. Before starting the drive, he ensured that I was comfortable and he asked me about my interests in terms of activities so he could tailor the drive to the experience I was looking for. I found Jamal to be very courteous, professional, respectful and attentive to my needs. He was knowledgeable and very insightful about the places we drove through. On a personal level, we also enjoyed a great many conversations during the drive. At the border crossing into Rwanda, Jamal was very helpful in making the immigration process as smooth as possible for me and I don't know how I could have done this without him. The lodges that Ngoni Safaris put me in all had excellent service, accomodations and food and my experience was everything I was looking for and even more!

Once in a lifetime experience
5/5

We had an amazing trip. David, our guide, looked after us so well. Unbelievable the amount of knowledge he has about the places, people and animals of Uganda. Definitely good value for money. All our accommodation was wonderful, including all the meals. Can definitely recommend Ngoni Safaris.

I highly recommend Ngoni Safari if you're considering going on a safari. We just returned from a 9 day trip in Uganda with Ngoni and everything about it was perfect. Everything was planned for us so we got to enjoy our trip to the fullest and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. Do not hesitate to book with Ngoni! We will definitely use them again in the future.

Sedrick and James were both extremely professional and prompt with communication. They were highly reliable and I felt extremely safe as a young female solo traveler. Would highly recommend.

The review below is the personal opinion of Ramin and not that of SafariBookings.
Information about Safari and Hotel was very weak, we had a good driver who did his best
3/5

Agency has provided very weak information about trips, hotels, what to expect, and considerations. There was no wifi connection in the hotel, our MTN sims were not working to connect to 4G. We have not been offered an Airtel sim, which is very cheap and had 4G connections in the area. Agency was not aware that Ryno park is closed, there is a bridge construction in the Murchison so the road is suspended, etc. SO, the trip was full of surprises. There were no plugs in tents/rooms. I have been asked for meal preferences, but the only available sausage for breakfast was pork, etc.
Once we arrived at a Murchison Fall, the driver asked if we have anti-insect spray/cream with us. Apparently, we have not been advised to take one, but luckily I had a cream.
The only positive thing was the driver. He was experienced and was doing his best to make us enjoy the Safari.
It doesn't worth of money paid.
I will never choose and advise this agency to others.

Hello Ramin
Thanks for the feedback regarding your 3 days experience at Murchison falls national park, we apologize about the bad experience you had with the lodge, poor internet connections, bridge construction, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary being closed and not informing you earlier about this.

Let me first begin with the lodge (accommodation) experience; your colleague chose this accommodation (Murchison River Lodge) after rejecting abetter accommodation we had provided for you guys. We have our own specific accommodations we use for all our tours but when a client decides to choose his or her own accommodation and sticks on it then it’s normally hard for us to reject it. Murchison Falls National Park is crossed by the River Nile bisecting in to two sectors that is southern and the northern sectors of the park, in order to tour the wildlife in Murchison Falls National Park, one has to cross with the ferry to the northern side of Paraa area in order to do a game drive around the National Park.

The lodge (Murchison river Lodge) your colleague chose is on the southern and it involved crossing the river using the boat that’s if you’re coming from Tangi gate, before the water levels raised all tourists used to cross the river using the ferry and water levels on River Nile raised and submerged the ferry docking point at Paraa Murchison Falls National Park. The flooding made it difficult for vehicles to enter the ferry. There has never been a road that helps you cross that river a part from using a ferry or boat So NO ROAD WAS SUSPENDED (it’s the ferry that was suspended because of increased high water levels but boats still remained in operation).
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Closure; Ziwa Rhino sanctuary was closed a few days before the start of our trip to Murchison and there was no communication by either UWA or ZIWA RHINO & WILDLIFE RANCH regarding the closure of this place, they just informed us on phone when we had called them to book for Rhino Tracking and they apologized for not informing the public on time. Very many tour operators and tourists are bouncing back at the gate of Ziwa Rhino just because ZIWA RHINO & WILDLIFE RANCH never communicated to the public that they are closed, you can even check on their website you will see that there is no such communication.

Thanks for appreciating our guide and driver and we apologize about the challenges you faced while on the trip, we always ensure that we provide the best services to our clients for the good years we have spent in business you are the only client we have faced a challenge with I think because of the poor services offered by the lodge, Ziwa closure without communication, ferry closure and poor internet connections, we also emailed the Lodge you slept in and informed them about the challenges you faced while at their lodge and they asked for an apology and they promised to call you.

Kind regards
Sedrick

Adventure in QENP
5/5

This is really a Huge park for a vast diversity of wildlife. We reached early about 6:30 am to see animals diversity and that are nocturnal. We managed to see the lions relaxing under trees and at a sudden he walked very close to our vehicle. We saw herds of Kob mating as well as water buck and cape buffalo. Saw a huge herd of hippos in water calling to each other as well as a lone hippo in a small pond who had been banished from the group. Also saw a few warthogs and Franklins. We only covered a very tiny portion of the park and saw lots of wildlife.
This was done just with the help of Ngoni Safaris as their great management.

Seeing the gorillas is fantastic!
5/5

The staff at the Ngoni Safaris Uganda can made an amazing job of getting you up into the mountain to see gorillas. We had a 3-4 hour hike to get to them quit difficult it was but once you get to the gorillas you get 1 hour with them to watch them and have some photograph with them. There are available porters for hire to walk with you and help you navigate some of the harder parts of the hiking paths and also carry your luggage like lunch and water. They all are well worth it. They ask for $15 as a charge but really deserve $20. We had totally given to that, our total experience was over 3-days.
