Professional from the beginning to the end
Well organized 2 days trip to Inverdoorn. Communications and feedback from gems of Africa was excellent. If we could complain on something it was the very stressful pick up service day 1 where the driver came very early in the morning 0730 (he was going on holiday) and drive tofast on the dirty roads close to Inverdoorn. We sat in the heat for hours before things happening there, so rushing out from a 5 star hotel breakfast was kind of totally waste of time. But if it wasnt for this everything worked out fine. Gems of Africa was always helpful and replied immediately to any questions or requests.
I added on transport to and from the lodge and this was also very good, nice to meet other people on our way there.
I could never get hold of Aquila, but Gems of Africa was always available and reliable.
Aquila lodge was lovely, and the meals were very good - we all ate way too much.
The game drives happened at exactly the times they were scheduled, and free drinks at the end of the afternoon game drives were appreciated.
Aquila could have had more giraffes. And we never got to see the elusive mountain leopards.

Great customer service
From getting a quote, booking and going, everything went to plan. The itinerary was detailed and informative. We had no problems arriving at Aquila, and we got all that was promised. Using Gems actually saved us money, rather than going direct. So very pleased.
The staff at Mdluli Game Lodge made this such and amazing experience and the lodge was fabulous!
The Mdluli Game Lodge is inside Kruger and has a private area only accessible by their staff. The drivers were very personable and knowledgeable about the animals. We were there in Spring (November) and while this made everything green and more lush (and harder to see distance), the animals were very active and we got to see them all close up. One morning, we had up close experiences with 4 of the big 5 (everything but the Rhino), usually with just our truck. The lodge was beautiful and exceptional value for the price. We also loved that the lodge supported the Mdluli tribe instead of a hotel chain or corporation.

A trip of a lifetime!
We booked our safari trip in South Africa with Gems of Africa, and had the most amazing time at Sanbona
Lindo and the team at Gems sorted our transfers from Franschhoek with a return to Hermanus, as well as everything at the reserve. We had a beautiful time exploring all the wildlife and the team at Sanbona exceeding our expectations

Beyond Expectations
The safari experience exceeded all expectations. Our guides were not only extremely knowledgeable but also passionate about the wildlife, making every moment exciting and educational. Seeing the animals up close in their natural habitat was breathtaking, and the organization and timing of the excursions were flawless.
