It was a more than excellent tour with Drifters and Ruan Mey as our guide.
We did at that time the South African tour with Drifters. Ruan Mey was our guide. He was excellent, friendly, competent. The tour and the guide were both in one word : AMAZING!!!

Wonderful new experience
Federica is an amazing guide, she understood what we needed and wanted for this vacations/safari. We've seen a lot of animals and amazing places. Road time were right to manage our backpain issues.
It was a magnificent trip and we are looking forward the next one !

Attentive, thoughtful and a wonderful host
We were met at the airport by our host Frederica and she ensured she was always on hand at all times during our tour with her if we had any difficulties.
Frederica went out of her way to make our trip as enjoyable as possible and was always one step ahead with her preparations so that things went smoothly.
In terms of value for money, I could not fault her. The quality of the accommodation was excellent, the schedule went smoothly from the moment we met her until she dropped us off.
My mother and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Best Trip Ever!
It was our first time visiting South Africa and we couldn't have picked a better partner to lead us through the journey! Shikwaru Adventures had absolutely everything planned for us and was always prepared for any questions we could have. They did an AMAZING job organizing and planning our trip - from the minute we arrived in Johannesburg until the minute we left to Cape Town. Our safari adventure with Tambuti Lodge was also wonderful and we are so so happy and thankful with their service and hospitality. Every hotel and lodging that Shikwaru included in their itinerary was amazing, but the definite highlight of our trip was the Safari at Black Rhino Reserve, which they recommended we visit (as it was our first time) and we are so glad we listened to them. Truly exceptional! Shikwaru also kindly offered to help us through our Cape Town visit with recommendations as well as a two-day guided tour of the wineries and the Peninsula, and again, truly amazing and dedicated service and guide.
We are so thankful so so glad that we chose Shikwaru Adventures on our first (and hopefully not last) trip to South Africa! Federica and team were truly a pleasure to work with!

They planned a very tailored and thoughtful experience for my group. They even drove us around JB!
Shikwaru made our experience in Africa a top 1 and unforgettable trip! Federica, one of the co-owners made us feel like home since day one. She picked up us in the JNB airport and drove us around the city - it was amazing to get to know Joburg from the eyes of a local. She clearly knew where and how long to take us to each place, which made the entire experience in Joburg very smooth and anjoyable. She took us herself to the Safari lodge where she had made our accommodation arrangements. At this point we did not have to move a finger in the planning, as she did everything for us! She had already asked us a bunch of questions to understand our budget and our vision for the trip and could have not booked a better lodge than Tambuti Lodge! The people, the service and the hotel itself were absolutely spectacular. It was my group's first Safari experience and it was definitely a great way to start! Federica would reach back every day to see how satisfied our group was, and she ensured everything was meeting our expectations. Our next stop after the safari was Capetown, and Shikwaru took charge of all our planning in the city as well. They booked our flights, our tours around the wine areas (Franschoek and Stellenbosch, which included the tasting reservations) and around the area of Cape of Good Hope. The experience was very personalized throughout and left us wanting to go back to South Africa! Wouldn't doubt using Shikwaru again in our future travels!

Amazing and fantastically organized!
We were lucky enough to travel with Federica, our guide, who thanks to her amazing optimism, friendliness and professionalism, gave us an authentic and amazing experience. Timing, lodging, transport, service were impeccable! The 3 safari exceeded our expectation to all regards, the rangers were truly fascinating professionals, who shared with us their passion about the animal kingdom. We were able to see all big 5 in the first 2 hours of safari! Thank Shikwaru for perfectly understanding our needs and providing the bet service we could have wished for!

The whole trip was impeccably organised and it was a unique travel experience
Federica, is one of the most dynamic, friendly and professional tourist guides we have come across. She did an amazing job into understanding our expectations and organising the most amazing tour so we were able to see the best of what the country has to offer. Service was perfectly adapted to meet our travelling style, from sporty hikes to charming guest houses and exclusive wine tasting and dining in Franschhoek. Timing was impeccably managed, while keeping flexibility for any special request we would have.
