Very nice and interesting discovery of South Africa with Shikwaru and Federica
Me and my friends spent 25 days with Federica, and this roadtrip from Johannesburg to Cape Town was a great experience. We wanted to discover all facets of this great country, and Shikwaru proposed us a very complete and interesting journey: Johannesburg and Cape Town, so different, Kruger, Hluhluwe and Addo to discover the big fives and so many others, amazing and highly varied landscapes, very nice walks … We shared unforgettable moments in the villages of Eswatini and Lesotho. We learned a lot about fauna, flora, geology. Federica loves nature and is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. And she really takes care of us, with professionalism and friendship. About organization and quality of accommodation, if you accept sometimes less comfort to live beautiful experience, everything was very satisfying. I recommend highly Shikwaru. Thank you Federica !

Great trip, well organized with our guide Frederica, attentive to all our needs.
After a 25-day trip to South Africa with Frederica, we come back delighted.
We enjoyed the programming, very varied, which gives us a good overview of the country.
Frederica was a good driver, dynamic, highly organized. She adapted the program according to the situation. We liked the choice of very diversified hotels. Both homestays were very rewarding.
Several treks allowed us to admire the magnificent landscapes.

Awesome staff, amazing organisation and incredible sights - We saw everything!!
We booked a 12 days safari with Shikwaru Adventures in Botswana for end of September and that was simply fantastic!
Upon arrival, we got greeted by the team and our guide (Rock) for the tour. They briefed us on the details of the trip, and went above and beyond to solve our issue with delayed luggages (brought us twice to shopping center, periodically checked the airport and delivered us our luggages in the remote part of the Okavango!) Pro tip - Allow an extra day when you arrive if your flight is not direct
We then started the fantastic safari - Rock our guide was a local living legend - He knew all the smallest spots and sandy roads, and led us to see pretty much all the wildlife around (Cheetahs, Lions, Hippos, Leopards, Wild dogs, Hyenas, Giraffes, Elephants and all!) He was very kind, always checking on us, giving us lots of info on the wildlife and telling us great stories around the evening bonfire.
He was with his lovely assistant Partner, in charge of the food and the camp. Partner was simply fantastic, always super kind and hard-worker, cooking us delicious and fresh food based on our diet requirements. He also cooked his famous bread that you must try!
In total, we moved over three different camp sites, and finished the tour at the Victoria Falls. The setup was each time incredible, beds in the tents were super comfortable, food delicious, and outdoor shower really great! We were expecting a basic setup but it was actually super enjoyable!
All in one, we're incredibly happy to have done this trip, and couldn't recommend enough to go with them! We have lifelong memories and will be back for sure!

Super attentive to our needs and pampering at all times, they are brilliant!
Shikwaru Adventures really built a trip that perfectly met what we wanted. They were able to combine comfort, adventure to our budget. They were always present when we needed and very responsive as soon as we had a question but without being intrusive. They took us to places we wouldn't have thought of like Kliptown and totally wowed us. Our guide was lovely, our 4 kids loved it and so did we. Everything was organized to perfection, it allowed us to discover a country in a different way than what the media says, we never felt safe because Shikwaru Adventures was always there to guide us on our trip. If we had to leave, without hesitation, we would call on this travel agency. I totally recommend it to you. Thanks to Shikwaru Adventures we had a great vacation, full of adventures and in complete safety.

A UNIQUE AGENCY THAT UNDERSTOOD OUR EXPECTATIONS AND OUR NEEDS
Despite all the difficulties we encountered in organising this trip (Covid cancellation and 4 times trip postponed), Shikwaru Adventures supported us throughout with patience, kindness and efficiency. Our trip was incredible, thanks in part to the work of the whole team. The choice of guides, the places we stayed and the experiences we had were everything we had hoped for. I would recommend 1000 times this agency.

Superb Namibian tour
I did the 14 day Namibian tour, I enjoyed the tour from day 1. The guides came to pick us up at the airport, helped us to buy a sim card and make it work and we had a first tour of Windhoek. The next day, we proceeded to go to Fish river Canyon and did a whole tour of the country. The guides were always available, explaining the culture, wildlife, etc. the food was amazing, I still need to ask for a few local recipes!
The only thing is that I would have had spent 1 more day at waterberg plateau to be able to hike it.
In summary, amazing trip and guides. Highly recommended!

If you are a contemplating a midrange trip to Southern Africa run, don't walk, to Shikwaru Adventures. They have deep regional expertise, expert guides, and provide high-level service. They planned our entire trip, a mid-range Safari / Joburg / Cape Town, that provided amazing value for the price. Despite arriving home just yesterday, we are already talking about a return visit. Amazing
My husband and I are in our mid to late sixties and have a wonderful time wild camping in Botswana this October. We have been to Kenya twice, Uganda and South Africa, but this safari beat them all. We wanted a different experience to the previous ones and we certainly got it. Before we have stayed in large tents and lodges but this was proper camping in a 2 person tent with camp beds. We were a bit concerned if we could cope with this - because of our age, but it was fine.
It was such a great experience camping, just the two of us and Rock and Tebogo. To see elephants, in the delta, at night around your tent, so close you could almost touch them was amazing, one night it was a mother and baby. Another night in another camp a leopard actually walked behind our tent and we got to watch it. We saw so many animals, the stand out being beautiful lions. We also saw Wild Dogs for the first time.
Our guides, Rock and Tebogo, were great, they knew so much about the animals and their behaviour. Rock seemed to find us the best sightings everyday so we had a lot of time watching them before other vehicles arrived. (There were far fewer vehicles around us than we have experienced on our other safaris, which was a huge plus.) Rock also cooked fantastic food with a lot of variety, and Tebogo showed us things that we otherwise would have missed including the smallest owl that I have ever seen. He also had great knowledge about the night sky and stars. The two of them could not have done more to make it an unforgettable time in Botswana.
We would highly recommend this type of safari. Camping in the bush, hearing the animals at night was unforgettable.
