Seamless except our daughter did bookings for us and that caused confusion at some resorts.

Our driver Daniel Muntet for our Safari was the Best. Knowledgeable, courteous, personable. Really knew how to navigate the game reserve trails. Really can’t say enough about Daniel. Punctual, polite , wonderful person. Great sense of humour.
Strongly recommend Daniel as your tour guide to get the best adventure.

Fantastic service from beginning to end!
5/5

Couldnt recommend Mufasa tour highly enough. We just had a fantastic time doing 5 days safari tour, and everything was exceeding expectation.

We booked quite far in advance for our honey moon and everything was communicated clearly throughout.
Our guide Joseph is very kind, knowledgable and go above and beyond to ensure we make most of our time in the safari. We manage to see all the big five and more so couldnt be happier.

The camp recommendation was great, my wife and I was over the moon with it. Will definitely use Musafa again should we visit more safari in the future

A wonderful and unforgettable experience!
5/5

So glad that we chose Mufasa Tours and Travel for our Safari visiting Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and were not disappointed. Polly and Maryanne took care of our bookings and the admin side of things and everything was delivered as promised.

Our guide was COLIN who was with us for the whole trip and his expertise and professionalism made our experience unforgettable. He is truly a dedicated guide who is passionate and knowledgeable about his work. How Colin knew where all these animals were and where go so they will be just outside our Land Cruiser was amazing. We took some beautiful photos and Colin patently moved the Land Cruiser around so we can capture pictures at optimal angles.

Asante sana to Colin and the Mufasa Team!

An excellent experience with Mufasa Tours and Travels
5/5

Our experience with Mufasa Tours & Travels was perfect from the beginning to the end.
A special thanks to Tonny, our guide, for his professionalism and kindness throughout our trip.
Thanks to his skills and the sharing of his invaluable knowledge, we were able to meet all the animals we dreamed of seeing.
The quality of the hotels we were offered when we organized our tour was also impeccable, and this contributed considerably to making our stay in Kenya unforgettable.
We'll be recommending this agency to our friends and family, and won't hesitate to use their services again!

Mufasa did an excellent job and we have ahd a great safari
5/5

We booked a 7-day safari with Mufasa, which included Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli Park, and Diani Beach. We had an excellent experience with the Mufasa staff, starting with Caroline, who was always kind and responsive when booking and organizing the tour. Leroy, our main driver during the safari, was excellent and very patient, taking the time to look for the animals in the parks and providing detailed explanations of all aspects of the safari. He was also a great companion when traveling between different destinations. Erik and Paul, our drivers during the transfers to Diani, were also very pleasant and punctual. Overall, the tour was very professionally organized by Mufasa. Thank you very much to Leroy, Caroline, and the whole Mufasa team.

The review below is the personal opinion of Maria Arreba and not that of SafariBookings.
Mufasa did not reach our expectations of an enjoable and rewarding safari.
2/5

In general we felt that Mufasa ones we did the booking, and paid, forgot about us. We had to ask the person in charge of our trip ( Caroline) to send us the name and details of our guide-driver because she hadn't done it and it was friday afternoon and our flight was departing Europe on Sunday. At that moment she told us the rules for Masai Mara had changed and even if we had paid extra to sleep inside the park the last night so as to do an early game drive, that wasn't possible unless we paid one extra entrance ticket. It was too late to cancel the lodge for another outside the park and cheaper. It was very anoying.
On the other hand the guide-driver: Nafthali, was speaking on his mobile very often, even when he was driving uphill and the road was wet!. And when we were watching animals he rarely explained anything, unless we asked heim for information, because he was chatting on the phone or with the whatsapp.
Of course, ones the trip ended, Mufasa did not request a feedback. They were aware of their poor service!!
As a conclussion, Mufasa did not reach our expectations and was not a good value for money.

Nelson was friendly, responsive and knowledgeable.
5/5

Mufasa organized a last minute tour for us to Amboseli, for a short weekend trip. They found us a beautiful camp/lodge and a fantastic guide/driver on short notice. It was good value, we saw tonnes of animals and our guide, Nelson, was so friendly, knowledgable, and easily navigated the park. So happy we went. Thank you!

The Absolute Trip of a Lifetime!
5/5

Mufasa not only surpassed all of our expectations, but we experienced a trip of a lifetime that will never be forgotten. We have been on several safaris in three other African countries with a different tour company. They were good but nothing compares to Mufasa. A friend enthusiastically recommended Mufasa to us and we did our homework talking to other companies. We wanted to visit Kenya for 12 days. The price and accommodations were better with Mufasa and included everything (except tips and drinks for lunch and dinner). We were given an extensive list on how to prepare for the trip, ie what kinds of plugs to use, not to bring plastic, how to get a visa to enter Kenya etc. It was very thorough and helpful.
We were taken care of every step of the way.
Our very kind, always positive and personable guide, Kevin, can only be described as the most knowledgeable person about every animal and park we visited. He can spot and identify over 400 birds just in Kenya alone and say instantly the complete scientific name. He explained where they come from, their behaviors, and answered all questions one can think of to ask. He has the patience of a saint.
Kevin also knows his way around East Africa without GPS. We were with him for 12 days and visited 4 National Parks. His driving skills are incredible, keeping us safe and arriving on time. He makes sure the vehicle is in tip top shape mechanically and has it cleaned nearly every day. Water is unlimited in the vehicle and chilled. Kevin knows where to stop for bathroom breaks and makes sure everyone is comfortable.
When it comes to finding animals and knowing every detail about them, we could not get over Kevin’s extensive knowledge. For example in Samburu, he found and explained to us all about the rare Grevy zebra, which are going extinct, the reticulated Giraffes, the Gerenuk, aka the giraffe gazelle, the rare Oryx and Somali Ostrich. One morning, Kevin found the perfect spot for us to enjoy breakfast with reticulated giraffes all around in Samburu. It was surreal.
Everyday brought more fascinating sightings. In Ol Pejeta, Kevin spotted a cheetah at dusk and we followed her for over an hour, the only vehicle who saw her at the time. We watched her mark her territory and look for prey for dinner. We laughed as we saw monkeys up in a watch tower following her every move as we were too. Luckily, for a wart hog, the cheetah did not see him. In Ol Pejeta we saw male lions, female lions and cubs all very close up. We visited a chimpanzee sanctuary started by Jane Goodall to rescue chimps from other countries that were orphaned or abused. We fed and pet a rhinoceros named Baraka and saw many water buffalo.
At beautiful Lake Nakuru we saw white rhinos, a lioness in a tree, zebras fighting to kick out a male from the herd and many water buffalo. Kevin explained all of the animals behavior and why they do what we observed. For example, zebra rest their heads on each other’s backs, called necking, so they can see predators from all angles as they rest.
On the way to Lake Bogoria, Kevin rescued a large 37 year old tortoise from being run over on the road. When we arrived to the gorgeous lake we saw thousands of flamingos. Kevin had bought eggs at the entrance to the park from a local family and demonstrated cooking eggs in a hot spring near the lake. We enjoyed watching flamingos eating, walking, swimming and flying. Kevin knew of a beautiful spot near a small creek under trees in which to enjoy a picnic lunch. Again, another fabulous day!
In Masai Mara, not only did we see a beautiful cheetah, she walked by our vehicle and touched the land cruiser. How Kevin knew where these animals will most likely be and where to drive so they will walk by us is beyond me.
One morning in Masai Mara, Kevin took us to where he could take photos of us standing next to a silhouette of a tree as the sun was rising. Great start! He found a lioness having breakfast eating a water buffalo. Kevin saw the male was walking away towards the hyenas who wanted to also eat the kill. The male was making sure she could eat in peace. Kevin was the only driver who knew instinctively to follow the male and we observed him walking right past us while trying to to ward off the hyenas. When we returned to the spot where the carcas was, a huge number of other hyenas were now devouring the remains, all while on lookout for the male lion. Interestingly, the female lion we observed first eating the water buffalo, was near by watching the hyenas. She was left alone by the hyenas since they knew they outnumbered her. We also saw many jackals next to the hyenas trying to eat what they could, the scraps, to no avail.
In Masai Mara we saw another pride of lions with their cubs resting. We saw a saddle billed stork, Egyptian goslings and so much more including week old giraffes, young male lions resting, slender tailed mongoose, crocodiles, elephants and many hippos. One long held dream was to spot a leopard and lo and behold Kevin spotted a female leopard. The leopard came out of the bush and walked right by us. Kevin instantly drove the vehicle where we could observe her up close for as much time as we wanted to admire her.
We saw another male lion come out of the bushes and walk right in front of us and soon after that we then saw a male leopard. The male leopard was much bigger than the female that we observed with a neck that was also different than the female’s.
I have left out so much but wanted to explain some of the highlights. At all times, Mufasa was attentive to our every need. Kevin was a skilled driver and incredibly knowledgeable about everything including plants, insects and all animals big and small. I can’t recommend Mufasa enough. I’m very happy we listened and took the advice of my friend. We plan to go back to explore more of East Africa with Mufasa. We’re all still on cloud nine over one if not the most amazing trip of our lifetime. Thank you very much Joseph and thank you Kevin!!
