We had an incredible safari experience in Tanzania visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and the Serengeti, and it was truly one of the best trips of our lives.
From the very beginning, the team at - Big African Cats safari was outstanding. They responded quickly, were extremely professional, and managed to organize our entire trip within just one week, including all the lodges and hotels we requested. Everything was handled smoothly and efficiently, and we felt we were in great hands throughout the entire process.
The highlight of our trip was without a doubt our guide, Martin. My wife and I were a bit nervous about spending five days with someone we had never met before, but Martin made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to talk to. By the end of the trip, it honestly felt like we had been traveling with a friend we had known for years.
Martin explained every detail of what we saw, whether it was during the safari drives or while traveling between destinations. His knowledge of the wildlife, nature, and local culture was exceptional. Most importantly, Martin has the eyes of an eagle. We were constantly amazed by his ability to spot animals that seemed impossible to see. Thanks to Martin, we saw everything we hoped for and more, including lions, cheetahs, a leopard, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other incredible animals.
If you book with Big African Cats, my strongest recommendation is to ask for Martin specifically. Martin played a huge part in making this trip so special, and I genuinely believe our experience would not have been the same without him. His professionalism, personality, and passion for his work made every day enjoyable and unforgettable.

The one stop shop to make your trip as easy as possible!
The thought of doing this trip without the help of African Big Cats is scary to think about. They picked us up from the airport at 3:30am and from that point on, we didn’t have to do anything but be there and enjoy the trip. When you think about all that goes into the safari trip - flights, airport transfer, park fees, lodge bookings, etc… it adds up to a lot of work. African Big Cats literally took care of everything and took the stress out of traveling. And I found the cost to be impressive for all that they took care of. Our guide, Khalid, was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the animals and knew how to find so many of them while on the game drives. I highly recommend African Big Cats for anyone considering traveling to Tanzania for a safari.

Unforgettable Safari Adventure
We recently booked a two-week private safari and beach package with African Big Cats, and the entire experience was flawless. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, allowing us to completely relax without worrying about any logistics.
Communication with Naomi and Emanuel was seamless. Naomi was very responsive and helped answer all our questions throughout the trip. She even went out of her way to arrange activities for us at the very end of our journey when we realized we had extra time before our flight home due to our own scheduling oversight.
A special shoutout goes to our safari guide, Samuel, who truly made our trip unforgettable. He went above and beyond to share the incredible nature and wildlife of Tanzania with us. He quickly understood our vibe and was completely flexible whenever necessary. Furthermore, Samuel has what can only be described as 'eagle eyes.' He would gently stop the jeep and point out a leopard camouflaged on a distant branch or a lioness hidden in the tall grass, sightings we would have missed in a heartbeat. He didn't just show us the animals; he explained their behavior, their role in the ecosystem, and shared fascinating facts that brought the entire landscape to life. Thank you Samuel!

Simply outstanding!
Let me start by saying I originally had no interest in going to Africa but my son and his fiance had made plans to go and invited us to join them. My wife has always wanted to go to Africa so in the interest of "Happy Wife / Happy Life" I expressed my whatever attitude and agreed to go!
Now I have to truly swallow my pride and admit I was wrong. Our experience with African Big Cats Safari turned out to be the best adventure I've ever been on!
In comparison, we've toured Australia and have stayed at several Caribbean resorts. We've been on a fantastic cruise just to name a few.
From start to finish our experience with African Big Cats Safari and our guide Festo was incomparable!
The staff at Big Cats and all of the lodges we stayed at treated us like royalty. Our accommodations were always very welcoming, safe and luxurious and not at all what I was expecting. All of the meals including the safari lunches were provided and were very good!
Every morning after breakfast our guide Festo would get our family group of 6 loaded up and off on another amazing adventure to a new destination. He was very professional and friendly and he could answer any questions you could come up with! We all had high hopes of what we might see and Festo cheerfully strove to exceed our wildest expectations! We had up close and personal experiences with all the big cats including multiple cubs nursing. A cheeta feeding on a fresh kill 15 feet from our vehicle. Lions lounging in the sun and shade on the ground, in trees and on top of boulders. We saw giraffe, hippos, rhinos, elephants and every possible African animal you can think of. The scenery, birds of all kinds and meeting the local Maasai people. I could go on and on with stories about how Festo, African Big Cats Safari company and the many lodges and locals went out of their way to provide a safe and totally unforgettable experience that I never could have imagined!
I know that there is so much more that I could say about this incredible adventure but I have to say thank you to African Big Cats Safari and to Festo for giving us the opportunity to make absolutely unforgettable memories!!!
If life ever presents me an opportunity to go back I would jump at the chance and do it with Big Cats and ask for Festo!

An unforgettable safari
Our safari experience exceeded our expectations. At Serengeti National Park it was absolutely amazing: we saw the Big Five, the Great Migration and many other animals. The tour was very well organized by African Big Cats Safaris Company and the staff was very efficient and competent. They booked excellent accommodation and provided a very good and expert driver that was also our safari guide. We are very satisfied and we will certainly book again future tours with this company.

Trip of a lifetime
Our 12-day safari with Africa Big Cat Safaris exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, William and Naomi were incredible during the planning process, patiently answering every question we had and making everything feel so easy. When we arrived, Emanuel took the time to meet with us before (and after the safari), which was a lovely personal touch and showed how much they genuinely care about their guests’ experience.
Our guide, Khalid, was exceptional. His knowledge, patience, and ability to find incredible wildlife made every day unforgettable. We always felt safe, well looked after, and never rushed, and his passion for Tanzania and its wildlife really shone through.
Every lodge and camp they selected was fantastic, each with its own unique charm, and the food throughout the trip was consistently excellent. The entire itinerary was seamless, taking us through Arusha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, the Serengeti, and Lake Manyara, with every day bringing something new and memorable.

The best company to work with
My husband and I used African Big Cats to plan our 11 day honeymoon and they were amazing to work with. We even had some last minute changes for flights and hotel add ons, and they accommodated us every step of the way. The whole experience felt very private with our own guide the entire time. Our guide, Omega, was the best to have and I highly recommend him to anyone that’s going on their first safari. He was knowledgeable and found animals way before anyone else was able to. We were beyond lucky to see all of the big 5, which was in part due to Omega and his amazing ability to spot wildlife. African Big Cats is an amazing company to work with and their guides clearly love what they do too. This is the perfect company to use when booking your safari in Tanzania!

Our safari with African Big Cats exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, we knew we were in good hands. We booked through SafariBookings, and William was our first introduction. He was extremely helpful and made us feel confident right away. Once we booked, Naomi was there to answer every question we had about the details of our safari before we even got on the plane.
On the ground, Emmanuel and Martin took excellent care of us. Emmanuel, the Managing Director was fabulous. He set expectation clearly, checked in with us, and made sure our experience was everything we hoped for.
Our guide, Martin, was absolutely amazing! I truly cannot image a more capable guide or a better person to spend 12 days with. He knows so much about the animals, birds, land, history, culture, and people of Tanzania. He was respectful, easy to be with, and incredibly knowledgeable. He always seemed to know the right time and place for the best photographs, and he worked hard to make sure we saw all the animals we hoped to see.
The accomodations were outstanding at every stop. We had great food, comfortable beds, and excellent service everywhere we stayed.
This safari was very well priced and still managed to exceed every expectation. African Bid Cats delivered a truly unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend them to anyone planning a safari.
