Wonderful, short safari on the Tanzania northwestern parks.
5/5

Jackpot was able to put together a short, wonderful safari for an incredibly low price. We visited Tangarari, Serengeti, Nogorogoro, and Manyara. There were 7 of us, so we had a full vehicle, yet the Land Rover seemed in great condition (with a fridge allowing for cold beer & stoney tangawizi), the cook was great, in spite of the weird dietary constraints we imposed on him, and our guide was terrific. We had some difficulties (two flats in the Serengeti in spite of almost new tires), but our guide was able to overcome them, we saw EVERYTHING, and had an amazing time. I wish we'd be able to make the trip longer. I do not hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone considering a safari. They were great.

Unforgettable 10-day trip!
4/5

We met Andrew, the owner of Jackpot Safaris, in Arusha were I live. The company is a Tanzanian family business with great knowledge of the country and the Parks. The trip was absolutely great, we (my parents, my husband and myself) loved our guide who was both professional as good company! The accommodations were beautiful and i feel Jackpot offers a good price/quality ratio. Since our trip I have send a lot of friends with Jackpot Safaris on a trip, they all had very good experiences!

Good budget safari
4/5

We did a four day safari to lake manyara, serengeti and the ngorongoro crater. Andrew was very kind and helpful. He responded very quickly everytime and even arranged bus tickets for us from Nairobi and to Dar es Salaam.

The campsites on our trip were beautiful. Some of the mattresses and sleeping bags were smelly but it was comfortable. The cars are not in optimal condition. One of our cars had a minor steering problem and one of the gasoline tanks on the back started leaking while in the park (his was fixed within 3 minutes). However I did not feel unsafe for a moment. The cars are old but thorough and our guides were very good drivers. Their knowledge was just okay but sometimes we had to pull the information out of them and other times we felt like the story was not completely true. Our cook, Wazini, was an absolute highlight. He served us well during the trip.

To conclude honestly, if you want the best safari ever: spend more money because it will truly make a difference. But if that is not the case, because you're here on voluntarily basis and organising the sustainable for example: go with jackpot. They are very experienced and you will see every animal in (at least) threefold, the guides and cooks will arrange eveything for you (including setting up tents and what ever) and are very very friendly. Just like every other tour operator, the standard tipping procedure is applied, keep that in mind.

An amazing safari company which plays a big role in giving back to the community.
5/5

We have been recommending our SIC volunteers to go on safari with Jackpots for more than two years. None of our volunteers has come back and complained about anything. Amazing Amazing!

Good time, good people, good price!
5/5

A friend and I did a 4-days safari (Lake Manyara, Serengueti and Ngorongoro) in september'14.
We had a great time! Our guide and driver was excellent and we spot the big five and much more! We appreciated his knowledge and his hability to spot animals in the far far distance! The cook was also very good, and he could adapted easily to the vegetarian menu (I forgot to tell them in advance).
The car was quite old but comfortable enough (except under the rain because the windows didn't close properly).

Would 100% recommend this company to anyone going to Tanzania.
Affordable.
Excellent communication.
Amazing food.
Comfortable accommodation (even when camping!)
Safari guide was first class - such a lovely man who shared in our excitement even though he's been doing it for so long!
Seen all of the big 5 and even watched a lion hunt and kill a wilderbeast.
Best experience/ trip I've ever been on!

Kilimanjaro, Sanzibar & Safari
5/5

Jackpot Safaris and especially it's owner Andrew Malalika became a good friend of mine, since I was to Tanzania in 2002 for the first time. At this time, before Andrew founded Jackpot Safaris, we're on Safari for 4 Weeks and it was an unbelievable and great experience. 10 years later I went to Tanzania again and booked a Kilimanjaro Hike with Jackpot. I can highly recommend Andrew and his employees: very friendly, very attentive and very experienced. This made my second trip with Jackpot also unforgettable. And of course, if I'll go a third time, I'll book at Jackpot Safaris.

Highly Recommend Jackpot!
5/5

This was our first safari experience and Yessin did a fantastic job. He was patient, paid attention to the animals we were hoping to see and kept in contact with other drivers to find out about any sightings. He was able to give us information on all animals we saw with basics and fun facts. He was fully prepared, flexible and catered to what worked for us. The whole process was easy and well done from reservation to dropping us off at the airport. Lodging was very comfortable, clean and we loved the buffet meals. It was nice to have a nice mix of familiar and local food choices. There was no lacking of food on our trip, the box lunch was more than enough. Wifi connection was OK, not the best and only in common areas. (Yes, I know, it's better to unplug!) All locals were super friendly and made an effort to speak to us in English because we couldn't get past "asante" and "jambo" in swahili. We will definitely call on Jackpot tours again.

Great time with excellent driver guide and nice accomodations
5/5

The communication was good, the service even better, especially the driver guide excelled my expectations, we saw a lot of animals and were often the first ones to spot them, some of the accomodations also excelled my expectations and all of them were very nice. The tour was therefore great.

Awesome safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro
5/5

My two friends and I had a great experience with Jackpot Safaris. We went on a 3 day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro and everything exceeded our expectations. Andrew made all the planning extremely easy and was great at communicating about the potential itineraries, payment process, and what to do and expect before our safari. Our driver/guide and chef were both very personable and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and we felt safe and taken care of the whole time. I would absolutely recommend Jackpot Safaris to anyone who is trying to decide on a safari company to use in Tanzania.
