Kind, accommodating, and efficient
Our journey with Brilliant was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Right from the booking stage, the team put us completely at ease, and we were incredibly impressed by the mid-luxury accommodations they arranged. From our first hotel to the beautiful campsites, everything exceeded our expectations, and the staff was consistently excellent. While our resort in Zanzibar was a bit more average compared to the others, the overall trip was still spectacular.
Our guide, Joshua, was a standout—immensely knowledgeable, warm, and highly accommodating with our daily schedules. We also can’t thank Lightness enough; she managed our bookings flawlessly and was remarkably kind and responsive whenever we needed assistance.
The safari itself was a surreal, magical experience where we were blessed to see every animal on our list and more. I especially loved the private tour format, which gave us the flexibility to explore without feeling rushed. Just be prepared for the classic, bumpy safari roads—which we fully expected and didn’t mind at all. Highly recommend!

Brilliant Adventures and Safaris lived up to their name by helping my wife and I an amazing safari trip in September 2026. Lightness (Sales Manager at Brilliant) helped us look at all sorts of different options to suit the length of trip, budget and key things we wanted to see and do. All questions and itinerary change requests were replied to promptly with clear details of how each option would play out. We must have gone through 5 or 6 different versions before picking one, and his helped us plan confidently over the year or so leading up to the trip.
We ended up having flight issues on the first day of our trip, but Brilliant kept in touch with us and made last minute adjustments to ensure we were picked up from a different location and able to get our plans back on track. Once we arrived, Lightness took us through our trip details again to make sure our expectations were met; it's clear that they wanted to ensure we had the best time, and we did!
During our trip we had everything we could need, and all of our various activities, lodges and hotels all taken care of. Our driver Joshua was a pleasure to spend time with, as well being a consummate professional. Excellent driving kept us safe, with a well maintained vehicle stocked with snacks/drinks etc for our long days out.

Above & Beyond!
Our sales manager Lightness was very helpful, very kind and very accommodating. She provided us with the perfect tailored itinerary and the experience from start to finish was very professional. Once we arrived, everything was very well organised. Our driver Joshua was also very professional and always punctual. He was very knowledgeable and attentive. All in all, this experience was amazing and everybody at Brilliant Safaris helped me have the best birthday ever. Excellent Comprehensive Experience
Brilliant Adventures and Safaris did a fantastic job. Our group was always well taken-care of and looked after. We felt very safe throughout the safari and never had to worry about food/water/travel accommodations, etc. Brilliant Safaris made sure we had a very competent driver who knew the best spots to see all the animals. We ended up seeing every single animal we wanted, including all the elusive big cats and even rhino. Would highly recommend using Brilliant Adventures and Safaris for your trip and going to both the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. We ended our trip in Zanzibar where we had relaxing days on the beach, as well as did some scuba diving. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We had an absolutely incredible safari experience organized by Brilliant Safaris! From start to finish, every single detail was seamlessly handled.
Our itinerary covered Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, and every stop exceeded our expectations. The hotels and lodges chosen for us were outstanding—comfortable, beautiful, and offering wonderful hospitality throughout. A major highlight of the entire trip was the hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti—an absolute must-do, magical experience!
A special shoutout and massive thank you to our driver and guide, Joshua. Joshua was extraordinarily knowledgeable, attentive, and an absolute pro behind the wheel. When we ran into unexpected traffic on our way to Mount Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), Joshua navigated it effortlessly and ensured we made our flight to Cape Town right on schedule without any stress.
If you are planning a trip to Tanzania, we cannot recommend Brilliant Safaris and Joshua highly enough. Thank you for making our safari trip truly unforgettable!

Very trustworthy company.
Very good Safari experience with Brilliant Adventures. Gladys organised us a very complete route with the best guide possible, Tumaini, who explains a lot about animals and knows more than 500 birds names!!! We couldn't be more happy with him. The accomodations were what we expected, nice food, good locations and all the facilities, very clean.

"Once in a lifetime trip"
We had the most amazing experience with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris. From the very beginning, Gladys exceeded our expectations. I shared our budget with her, and she created a perfectly tailored mid-luxury 5-day itinerary that truly catered to our every need.
Going into this adventure, we were understandably nervous due to the October 29 event. Throughout the entire process, Gladys was always available, honest, and reassuring. Her transparency and constant communication gave us complete peace of mind and made us feel safe traveling in Tanzania at that time.
We were greeted in the Serengeti by our guide—and quickly, our friend—Bonny. Within the first 30 minutes, it felt as though we had known him for years. Bonny is an incredibly experienced guide with extensive local connections, which he used to ensure we saw everything we had hoped for and more.
Our first few days were spent at Baobab Luxury Tented Camp, which was nothing short of magical. Baboons and gazelles roamed freely in the backyard, adding to the authentic safari experience. The staff and food were exceptional, and during our 23rd anniversary, they surprised us with a cake and a beautiful celebratory dance. It was incredibly heartfelt, and we truly missed them when it was time to leave.
This trip was unforgettable, and we cannot recommend Brilliant Adventures and Safaris, Gladys, and Bonny highly enough. They turned a once-in-a-lifetime dream into a reality.

Trip of a lifetime
We had the most incredible trip, organised by Julieth who was really brilliant and made many personalisations to our itinerary, and guided by the incrediblly knowledgeable, kind and patient George.
We stayed in Heart and Soul Lodge for Tarangaire and Ngorogo Crater, in Into the Wild for our time in the Serengeti- which was the best accommodation we have ever stayed in- and Nungui Beach Resort for our time in Zanzibar. All great places to stay, with a wide variety of food both for me who is very picky (think beige, think chicken) and my husband who is more adventurous with his food!
We got to see so many animals up close. George made sure we got to all our favourite animals as well as the Big 5, with a highlight being a 2 hour old baby giraffe, two hippos who chased eachother right in front of our jeep, and a pride of lions including 3 males.
Our time in Zanzibar was also great, we especially enjoyed learning about how so many different spices and day to day producted like chocolate and coffee are grown. The staff at the hotel were amazing, teaching us how to weave, organising volleyball tournaments, and bringing us on a lovely walk of the town including to a turtle sanctuary.
An absolute trip of a lifetime, but if we were to do another safari we would not hesitate to book with Brilliant Safaris!

Brilliant by name, Brilliant by nature.
It was our first time in Africa to see the wildlife and our Brilliant Safari didn’t disappoint. It was everything that we had hoped for and more.
Julieth did a great job organising our Safari changing it suits as we wanted a bit more time on the Serengeti and at Ngorongoro Crater. The Safari accommodation was great especially Into The Wild on the Serengeti with wildlife wandering around and through the camp and Serena at Ngorongoro overlooking the crater.
We saw elephants, dic dic, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, impalas and more all from our accommodation at Into The Wild.
A special mention to Boni our Safari guide who made the trip unforgettable! His knowledge of the area and the animals was invaluable.
Boni knows most of the other Safari guides and keeps in contact with them on the two way radio about the location of other wildlife so if there is a leopard or cheetah around or some action happening then Boni will know.
Most people are lucky to see one leopard on a Safari but we saw three in one day.
Our catch phase for the Safari was, “In Boni We Trust” because he will find the best that there is to see.

The tour operator has organized a perfect adventure with amazing surprises.
We booked the tour spontaneously few months before departure. Organizations and communications were very easy going and clear as per WhatsApp. The planing went quick and every upcoming questions were answered within the day.
During the adventure everyone was friendly and kind. The tour was perfectly organized and everything went as planned. We had a wonderful time without any complications. Our guide was extremely invested into showing us all we wanted to see. Thanks to him we were able to see much more than we expected in only very few days. He was very competent, professional and familiar.
The lodges and food were very superb! With swimming pools and beautiful environments. The trip was worth every cent.
