More than a safari – an unforgettable family adventure in Tanzania With Freddy and Rojas
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the entire Safari Souls team for making our six-day Tanzania safari such an incredible and unforgettable family adventure.
From the very beginning, we felt that we were in the hands of true professionals. A special thank you goes to Jamal, who supported us throughout the entire preparation process. He helped us with all official arrangements, documents, creating the itinerary, and booking wonderful lodges. Jamal was always available, extremely attentive, and provided us with valuable advice regarding everything we needed to prepare for our trip — from the packing list to important entry formalities. Thanks to his professionalism and attention to detail, we felt confident and well taken care of from the very first moment.
One situation especially demonstrated the high level of organization and professionalism of Safari Souls. We had originally arranged a transfer from Arusha to our lodge, where our safari was supposed to start the following day. However, after arriving in Zanzibar, we discovered that our airline had changed the arrival airport only a few days before our trip — instead of Arusha, we were now arriving in Kilimanjaro. This was a stressful surprise for our family, but Jamal reacted immediately, reorganized everything, and arranged for the drivers to meet us in Kilimanjaro instead of Arusha. Thanks to his quick response and excellent organization, our safari plans were not affected, and a potentially stressful situation was handled perfectly.
On the first day of our safari, we met our wonderful guides, Freddy and Rojas. We were travelling as two families, with four adults and four children, so trust, safety, and reliability were extremely important to us. From the very first meeting, we had a fantastic impression. Freddy and Rojas were friendly, warm, smiling, and immediately made our children feel comfortable. The children quickly connected with them and enjoyed communicating with them in English throughout the entire journey.
Their professionalism and kindness were exceptional. They paid attention to every single detail and often anticipated our wishes before we even had to ask. The safari vehicle was always perfectly clean and in excellent condition. Every day we entered a fresh and comfortable car, which made a big difference during long safari days. There were always fresh drinks available according to everyone’s preferences, and during the cooler early mornings, Freddy and Rojas thoughtfully prepared blankets for each passenger.
The organization of every day was outstanding. Although safari requires early mornings, our guides always planned everything perfectly and were always punctual. Their goal was clearly to give us the best possible experience and to show us as many animals and special moments as possible.
The lunches during the safari were another wonderful surprise. Everything was beautifully organized: hot meals, vegetables, meat, side dishes, wine, coffee, and a nicely prepared table with a tablecloth. We appreciated the use of clean metal dishes and the attention to hygiene and presentation. These small details showed how much care Safari Souls puts into creating a truly memorable experience.
Our route was amazing. We started in Arusha, visited Tarangire National Park, travelled through the Ngorongoro area to Serengeti, where we spent two incredible days, then explored the Ngorongoro Crater and finished our adventure with a visit to Materuni Waterfalls.
Freddy and Rojas did everything possible to show us the beauty of Tanzania’s wildlife. They fulfilled all our expectations and even exceeded them. We experienced unforgettable moments: seeing numerous wild cats, three cheetahs, lions and cheetahs eating, huge herds of zebras, giraffes, hippos, and, most importantly, the Great Migration of wildebeest that our guides were so eager to show us.
This safari was truly beyond our expectations. It was not only about seeing animals — it was about the emotions, the knowledge, the care, and the connection we felt throughout the journey.
After six days together, saying goodbye to Freddy and Rojas was incredibly difficult. We had built such a strong connection that they no longer felt like just our guides — they felt like friends. Our youngest child could not hold back tears during the farewell, which says everything about the bond that was created during this unforgettable adventure.
Thank you, Safari Souls, Jamal, Freddy, and Rojas, for giving our families memories that will stay with us forever. We sincerely hope that one day we will meet again and share another incredible adventure together.
We highly recommend Safari Souls to anyone dreaming of an authentic, well-organized, and truly special safari experience in Tanzania.

8 day Tanzania Safari to remember
We had an amazing 8-day safari with Safari Soles and are very happy with the experience. Our itinerary took us from Arusha to Tarangire, Lake Eyasi, Lake Natron, Northern, Central and Eastern Serengeti, and finally Ngorongoro. Along the way, we also visited the Hadzabe, Datoga and Maasai tribes, which were great cultural experiences.
Everything was incredibly well organized from start to finish. We hardly had to plan anything ourselves apart from arranging our visa, vaccines and showing up. The entire trip ran smoothly, and it was clear that Safari Soles is a very professional company.
A special thank you to our guide, Philip, who was fantastic throughout the journey. His knowledge, experience and dedication helped us see not only the Big Five, but also the Ugly Five, the Great Migration, and even two Mara River crossings. He always made sure we were in the right place at the right time and shared interesting information about the wildlife and Tanzania.
We also booked a hot air balloon safari through Safari Soles, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend adding it to your safari.

Very professional, flexible and kind
Amazing 5 nights with Safari Soles for our honeymoon! From the first moment we spoke to Happiness over WhatsApp and email to do the itinerary to being picked up by our guide, Cheddy at the Kenya/Tanzania border. Happiness was very flexible and fast to respond and always kept within budget.
Cheddy was the best guide ever! He was so kind, warm, professional and a great driver, no matter what the car or roads threw at him. We felt super safe and he knew where to find all the best animals! We were so happy to see the Big 5 and the Great Migration! All of the accomodation and food was amazing, definitely recommend staying in one of the tented campsites if you can, such a great experience. The food for the picnics was also very good. The kindness of all the staff will never be forgotten.
Thank you to Cheddy and Safari Soles for a great trip!

Eli’s the best guide ever highly recommend
In July we saw the wildebeest crossing cheetahs up close and jaguars and lions loved it so much and Eli was the best guide ever highly recommend him
Great
Our time in Kenya and Tanzania was truly unforgettable. We traveled as a group of five, including our 9-year-old child and friends, and every moment exceeded our expectations.
Our guides, Isaac in Kenya and Frank in Tanzania, were both incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to making sure we had the best possible safari experience. They always seemed to know exactly where to go, and thanks to their expertise we were fortunate enough to see all the animals we had hoped for. Watching the Big Five, especially seeing adults with their young and observing their interactions in the wild, was an unforgettable experience. Both guides shared fascinating insights about the animals’ behavior and their daily lives, making every game drive even more meaningful.
The lodges were excellent-comfortable, welcoming, and a perfect place to relax after each day on safari. Although we spent many hours driving between destinations and especially two countries drive takes much longer than what the company suggests, having such experienced, friendly, and helpful guides made every journey enjoyable and stress-free.
We couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience and highly recommend this trip to anyone considering a safari in Kenya and Tanzania.

Having Eli from Safari Soles as your guide will ensure you LOVE your itinerary.
We spent countless hours researching safari countries, routes, and company reviews. Then we hoped we’d make the right choice as we flew across the world. Regardless of the route I know Eli will ensure your experience exceeds your expectations. He was super energetic, reliable (always on time), knew about the animals; knew how to find them and was tenacious in chasing the game. He is a great driver and guide, we always felt safe. He was super funny and connected with each one of us in a unique way. He kept everything clean and organized and simple. We had the best time imaginable. Better than what we hope for. Croc attack during a crossing! 60 Lions including a pride around the tree , full grown manes and cubs playing! Up close and personal with a leopard! Even closer with a cheetah and four babies (so fuzzy cute)! Waking up with the sun, the beautiful giraffes, elephants and zebras while singing to the Lion King sound track. Not only did Ellie explain the history of the big 5 he showed us every single one!! The two Safari Haven lodges were heavenly. The beds were super comfortable, the staff sang and communicated well, everything was impeccably clean, no bugs, food was great and our guide always prepared a lovely picnic blanket with metal plates and hot lunches whereas I noticed most groups had boxed lunches. Northern Serengeti crossing is absolutely worth the additional time and expense and risk of not seeing a crossing. Four days was perfect for our family of five with teens. Zero animal fatigue. Starting in the North and ending in Ngorogoro was the right decision. We did the crater because we wanted to see the Rhino. I cannot say enough great things about our guide. 10/10. Thank-you!!!

Amazing Masai Mara with Safari Soles
Our 3 day Masai Mara safari with Safari Soles surpassed our expectations. I chose this operator as they understood exactly we wanted and were quick to respond and flexible as our plans evolved. Our driver, Nelson, was friendly and fun, but with a huge amount of knowledge and passion about the wildlife. The recommended Enkakenya lodge was beautiful and the food and service were both great. The safari drives were fantastic - from serene moments with groups of elephants and giraffes to watching lions tearing apart a zebra carcass. Definitely recommended.

We had an amazing Safari experience and an unforgettable honeymoon trip with Safari Soles. Our guide Jeff was very friendly and had so many insights to share on our journey.
