An unforgettable Tanzanian safari (Dec 28 – Jan 10)
Our safari in Tanzania from December 28 to January 10 was truly one of the most memorable experiences of our lives, and a big reason for that was the incredible team behind it.
From the very beginning, Douglas from Safari Soles was phenomenal. While we were still in the US, he helped us plan every detail of the trip with care and precision. He provided extremely helpful guidance on immigration, vaccinations, and entry requirements, and made sure all restrictions and logistics were handled smoothly. Thanks to Douglas, everything felt seamless and stress-free even before we landed in East Africa. The planning was thoughtful, thorough, and perfectly tailored.
Eric was the first person we met on the ground. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in Nairobi, and then drove us from Nairobi to Arusha, Tanzania. During the drive, he gave us our first real glimpse into East African life and culture. His warmth, stories, and local insights made the journey itself feel like part of the adventure.
And finally — and most importantly — Innocent Mushi, our guide and navigator. Innocent was simply extraordinary. Always kind, always smiling, and endlessly accommodating, he ensured we had the best safari experience we could have imagined. He handled a wide range of requests within our group effortlessly, always putting our comfort and safety first.
The vehicle was always spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. Innocent has an astonishing knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife — animals, birds, flora, and fauna — and could spot what felt impossible, like leopards hidden high in trees. He consistently positioned us at the best angles and viewpoints, made sure we were always well fed, and guided us with the confidence and expertise of someone who truly knows this land.
What stood out even more was his humanity. He often stopped to accommodate spontaneous requests not on our itinerary and even helped stranded passengers on the road, showing genuine kindness and care beyond his role. By the end of the trip, Innocent felt like family. I truly cannot recommend him highly enough — if you are doing a safari in Tanzania, you must work with Innocent Mushi.
After comparing notes with other travelers, we realized just how unique and exceptional our experience was.
Tanzania was recently voted the best safari destination in the world, and it’s easy to see why. We wholeheartedly recommend Safari Soles and are deeply grateful to their outstanding team — Douglas, Eric, and Innocent — for giving us an experience we will cherish forever.

Unforgettable safaris with expert guides & patient service.
We had an unforgettable 4-day safari with Safari Soles covering the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. Our guide, Christian, was absolutely excellent — experienced, patient, and genuinely passionate about wildlife.
At the start of our journey, he asked what animals we hoped to see. I mentioned the Big Five and the Ugly Five, and to our delight, we managed to spot them all! My favourite part was definitely Ngorongoro Crater — the scenery felt almost surreal, and we witnessed so much wildlife action there.
Our accommodation was just as memorable. The Serena Safari Lodge overlooking the crater offered spectacular views, while the Safari Haven Camp had a magical atmosphere — we spent the evening by the campfire under the stars with zebras wandering nearby.
Christian made the experience even more special. He never spoiled surprises, stayed patient and enthusiastic throughout, and even though we saw thousands of zebras and wildebeest the next day, he kept the same sense of wonder throughout the trip. I’ll never forget our peaceful lunch stops under acacia trees, surrounded by nature.
A huge thank you also to Happiness, our tour operator, who organized everything perfectly and was so accommodating with our date changes.
It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience, and we’re so glad we chose Safari Soles. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal experience of a lifetime
The most amazing trip that far exceeded all expectations. Planning, communication and interaction were all excellent, as was the hospitality and food we received in the places we stayed. They respected our requirements and budget and put together an incredible itinerary. We had an outstanding, knowledgeable and thoughtful guide who looked after us all so well and answered our multiple questions with enthusiasm and fascinating and informative information. We saw so much wildlife including birds and plants which Omar was able to tell us about. It simply could not have been a better or more enriching and exciting few days. I would highly recommend Safari Soles and would definitely recommend the tented camps in the Serengeti (where lots of the drives are off road) and Tarangire parks. Thank you to all the team for a trip of a lifetime which exceeded all our expectations. Hopefully we’ll be back one day.

An Unforgettable Northern Circuit Honeymoon
Our 6-Day Northern Circuit Honeymoon Safari (Nov 29 – Dec 4, 2025) with Safari Soles was the most extraordinary travel experience we’ve ever had.
From the planning stages, Oken ensured everything was seamless. He thoughtfully tailored our itinerary to align with our interests, honeymoon expectations, and pacing preferences. Communication was clear, logistics were effortless, and we felt confident and supported before we ever stepped foot in Tanzania.
Safari Monster Simon, our safari guide, elevated the experience even further. With formal training in tourism and African ecology, he didn’t simply locate wildlife - he interpreted entire ecosystems. He explained watershed systems, fire ecology, predator-prey behavior, medicinal plants, and conservation policy with depth and clarity.
As someone who works professionally in sustainability and conservation, I can confidently say this was the most impressive eco-tourism experience I’ve encountered. Simon’s tracking ability was extraordinary, spotting subtle movement at full speed and positioning us perfectly for unforgettable sightings.
As a newer birder, I logged over 100 new species thanks to his expertise. His passion also extended to photography - he brought professional camera equipment and generously shared breathtaking wildlife images with us at no additional cost. Many of those photos will be framed to hang in our home.
The vehicle was modern and comfortable, and each lodge offered exceptional hospitality, stunning views, and outstanding food. Our final day with Enock (also a rockstar of a guide!) for the Kilimanjaro hike, waterfall visit, coffee tour, and hot springs provided a wonderful cultural and scenic conclusion to the trip.
Safari Soles created an experience that felt personal, immersive, and flawlessly executed from start to finish. We are already planning our return and would recommend them to anyone we know for an absolutely amazing experience anywhere in Tanzania.

Amazing Staff, can’t wait to use them again.
Can’t speak highly enough about Safari Soles, as they planned an amazing trip of a Lifetime for or family of four. From the transportation, to the activities, to The migration camps, we enjoyed everything. All of the food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the people of Tanzania are so special. The staff of Safari Soles took care of everything. Staring with Douglas in the office who would answer all of our many questions, sometimes at crazy hours with the time difference. Then we met Eric, our driver to and from Nairobi to Arusha, who is friendly and knowledgeable. And lastly, the best Safari guide ever is Innocent. He knew so much about the animals, he always placed the jeep in the best location for viewing and photography. We will never forget this trip and thank Safari Soles for a job well done..

Perfect Organization and very considerate
Our safari with Dickson was absolutely outstanding and exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, we felt extremely well taken care of. Dickson is an incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional guide who is clearly passionate about what he does.
Throughout the entire safari, he shared a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife, nature, and ecosystem. He also asked many questions to better understand our interests and consistently checked in to make sure our wishes and concerns were met. It truly felt like he was fully dedicated to providing us with the best possible safari experience.
One of the absolute highlights was that, thanks to his experience and great instincts, we were able to see all of the Big Five — an unforgettable experience. The nature, the tours, and the animal encounters were a clear 10/10.
The organization was also flawless: from the smooth airport pickup to all transfers and perfectly arranged meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all taken care of, so we didn’t have to worry about anything and could fully enjoy the safari.
We are incredibly grateful for this amazing experience and can wholeheartedly recommend Dickson as a safari guide. Anyone looking for a perfectly organized safari with a warm, knowledgeable, and dedicated guide will be in the best hands with him.

Excellent 12 days trip to Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire & Zanzibar
Safari Soles helped us plan our 12 days trip to Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Zanzibar. Its was very well planned and well thought of according to our requests. Dickson was our guide for the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire part of the trip. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. We learned a lot from him and got to see the big five, the ugly five and so much more. We even got to see 3 lion huntings! The picnic lunches prepared by Dickson was also immaculate with even hot coffee made to your request.
No doubt the trip was exhausting with early morning game drives and bumpy rides…but it was all worth it. Excellent trip.

Unforgetable
We have just returned from an unforgetable experience with Safari Soles, after a 8 day safari on Tanzania with my wife. From the beginning, the whole process was effortless and smooth, thanks to Ally Sanagora, which was the first to answer my mail requesting a quote. He answered all my requests on a profissional way and made all the arrangements necessary according to my preferences. He was very polite during the whole process and also during the safari, making sure that everything was going ok. We have been in contact for months and it was a pleasure dealing with Ally!
Regarding the Safari itself, we went to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Tarangire prepared us for Serengeti. In Manyara we fell in love with the jungle and all its birds and monkeys. In Serengeti we got emotional with the raw nature of the park and in Ngorongoro we witnessed the closest thing to the Garden of Eden, on Earth. Our guide was Raymond and we got the luck to have a second guide, Balthazar aka Papali, which was learning to become a Safari guide as well. While Raymond was polite, patient, discrete and very knowledgeable, Balthazar was funny, made incredible videos of us with my phone and gave us lots of precious information as well. Raymond offered us the big five (with 3 rhinos!), but so much more!! He knew the best spots for all the animals, taking into account the unpredictability of it. The animals kept coming toward us and Raymond knew just where and when to wait for some magical moments. And thanks to his efforts, there were so many of them! From a cave with a lion and his cubs, a cheetah standing with her two little ones, a leopard spotting a herd of Thompson gazelles from the top of a tree and actually chasing one for her two cubs, a moment in which we were looking to a lake with a crocodile and all of a sudden the lake was being invaded with 40 elephants that stood right in front of us for a spa moment of water and stinking mud and finally, a lion and his lioness standing tall in the savanah with the wind blowing through their heads, we had it all! We also enjoyed every stop (and there were many) for just looking at the acacia trees, spotting vultures, eagles and other birds of prey, but also the hornbills (even a black and white casqued hornbill), little birds like the blue starling and the most beautiful lilac breasted roller bird and many african green bee eaters. I’m a bird lover but we had lots of “f#%k birds” moments with the mammals! Thanks to Balthazar we had the most incredible videos and he was the perfect assistent guide, always learning but always trying to help us as well. It wouldn’t have been the same without him. The accomodations were top notch, very intimate and friendly and we were always received with a fresh white towell to clear the dust (believe me, you’ll need it), and a fresh drink. The food was fantastic, just like home, but the best meal was on the bushes in Serengeti with our guides. Raymond and Balthazar were the best and we can’t thank them enough. Believe me when I say you will be in very good hands with them, that’s for sure!!
We finished our journey with Materuni waterfalls and the hot springs. It was an adventure going into the cascade and knowing all about the whole process of making coffee out of beans. We even prepared our own coffee from the beginning. The people in the village were very friendly and Innocent was the perfect guide through it all. The hot springs were the best finish for our day, just before getting to the airport.
In sum, if you’re thinking about doing a safari, look no further and book with Safari Soles! You’ll never regret it, you’ll return with amazing memories, lots of stories to remember and you’ll be able keep your memory of Tanzania alive! Our, will never die…

Amazing adventure and people!
After searching through the numerous companies that host safaris in Tanzania we chose Safari Soles and we couldn’t have made a better choice for our adventure! Irine who planned our trip was amazing from the first message we exchanged, she was kind and available at every time, also during our week of stay, she gave us a lot of suggestions and always tried to meet with our needs and requests. We did a 8 day trip through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro: the lodges and tented camp were beyond our expectations and we visited the parks in the best sequence. We also want to thank our guide God Listen who showed us everything we could imagine and more, he drove for at least 8 hours per day and did everything he could to show us not only animals (we saw the big five and much more) but also the cities and beautiful landscapes. The organization is perfect, with game drive starting at around 6-8 am and finishing at 4-5 pm allowing us to see everything we could. Shout out to the amazing lunches which we think have made the difference throughout our stay, when booking your trips we advise you to ask for freshly prepared food (rice, chicken, vegetables and sauces) when possible instead of lunch boxes because we had two lunches like that (which were perfectly fine) because of time schedule but eating something fresh and typical really makes a difference. Thank you again for the amazing adventure, if you are planning to come to Tanzania please choose Safari Soles and God Listen because they are the best!
See you soon, Camilla and Rebecca from Italy.
