Perfect!⭐️
I really enjoyed the 5-day safari. Waldon was the perfect driver: calm, experienced, and passionate about nature. He shared a lot of knowledge about the animals and the park, making the drive even more special. The cook also deserves a huge compliment; every day he prepared tasty food, right in the bush. I felt completely cared for, surrounded by wildlife and delicious food. It’s a trip you’ll never forget!

Amazing
The 5-day safari was truly a wonderful adventure! We were out every day spotting the most amazing wildlife, with Waldon as our driver, who knows the bush like the back of his hand. He took us to the best spots to see lions, elephants, and even leopards. The cook was also wonderful — every evening the meals were delicious, fresh, and prepared with love. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the wilderness at its best!

Trustworthy operator with an amazing staff
First I would like to say that I could not be happier with my experience with Crater Explorer. Since the first time we got in touch until the moment he dropped us off at the airport, Emmanuel was always responsive and easy to communicate with. He even went out of his way to help us paying for a dinner by lending us money because we did not have Tanzanian shillings.
The hotel we stayed at in Arusha (Venice hotel) was clean and the food was good so basically what you need for a 1 night stay before and after the Safari.
The Safari in itself is something I will not try to evaluate because I do not have words that can describe what I lived through. What I can talk about is the two members of the Crater Explorer crew who accompanied us throughout the 4 days and the places we spent our nights in.
Charles, the guide, is just a chill guy who loves to drive around and see some animals. He clearly had a trained eye as he was able to find animals while driving that we easily missed. I also found it really impressive how he was able to answer all the questions the group threw at him. I can tell he is a great professional and also a very good and safe driver which is very important in Tanzania.
The other member is Emmanuel, the “stomach engineer”, a truly loving and caring person. He cooked us some really great dishes and the quantity was always more than enough. I would sometimes compare the food we were eating to other groups and I could tell we were very well served. On the first night, my partner had a stomach issue (most likely traveler’s diarrhea) and Emmanuel made sure she ate the right things for the rest of the trip. On top of that he made her a ginger tea which even though was really hard to drink, got the job done and she did not have any more issues.
In terms of sleeping conditions, the first night we slept in Jambo Campsite and Lodge. The room was clean and comfortable. The second night was spent in Seronera Campsite, right in the middle of the Serengeti. In this area the water and energy supplies are limited. In the final night we stayed at Ngorongoro Simba Public Campsite and there I lived through one of the most exciting experiences of my life. The camp sits on top of the Crater, it has great views and a very vast and soft grass floor. For this reason, the camp gets crowded with buffalos and zebras. Sleeping in a tent surrounded by buffalos ripping grass out of the floor right next to my ear is something I could have never imagined doing but will never forget for the rest of my life. The water and electricity work perfectly in this camp.
Thank you Crater Explorer for providing me with a lifetime experience. I will forever be thankful and will always recommend.

Brilliant experience!
We had a great tour through Crater Explorer Tours. Emmanuel was incredibly helpful throughout and our time in the National Parks was unforgettable. Our guide, Alfons, was so knowledgable! Would definitely recommend.

Smooth booking process
My partner and I booked the 3-day Ngorogoro & Serengeti safari tour through Crater Explorer Tours and Safaris and we had a lovely time! Due to there only being the two of us, the actual tour was joined with another company so I can't comment on the actual safari but the booking process was very smooth. Emanuel was very responsive and helpful throughout the process (from initial inquiry all the way to last-minute questions)!
The 3 day safari tour was amazing value as well. Of all the quotes I received, this tour was the most budget-friendly & holistic (e.g. not just visiting one park).
Highly recommend!

Excellent safari trip!
We have had a very nice safari trip with Crater Explorer! We were combined with a group from another company, but everything was well managed. The contact with Emanuel was good and he briefed us personally before the safari trip. Also he came to our accommodation after the safari to check if everything went well.
We had booked a mid-range safari and the lodges where we slept were amazing! They almost felt like belonging to a luxury trip.

Unforgettable 3-Day Safari from Arusha to Serengeti & Ngorongoro!
Our 3-day camping safari was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we were picked up in Arusha, everything was perfectly organized. The drive through the stunning landscapes set the tone, but nothing compared to the moment we entered Serengeti National Park and immediately spotted lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and even a cheetah.
Camping in the Serengeti was an experience I’ll never forget. The tents were safe, meals were freshly prepared, and the guide and chef made us feel safe and cared for the entire time. Waking up to the sounds of wildlife right outside was surreal.
On the final day, exploring Ngorongoro Crater felt like stepping into a natural wonder of the world—thousands of animals in one breathtaking place, from zebras and wildebeest to hippos and lions. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, spotting wildlife we would have easily missed and sharing fascinating insights about their behavior and the ecosystem.
This trip was the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and authentic safari experience. I cannot recommend it enough—absolutely a 5/5, and one of the most memorable trips of my life!

Great value, professional and unforgettable! Mr. Charles and Emanuel made our safari amazing!
We recently returned from a 9-day safari in Tanzania with Crater Explorer’s, and the experience exceeded all expectations. Before booking, we went through a number of different offers—many of them more expensive—but, after reading good reviews, we decided to take a chance on Crater Explorer’s, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made.
The company was professional, reliable, and well-organized from start to finish. Our guide, Mr. Charles, was simply outstanding. His deep knowledge of the wildlife, landscapes, and local culture brought every moment of the safari to life. He always knew the best spots for viewing animals and had an incredible ability to spot wildlife we would have otherwise missed. Beyond his expertise, he was warm, patient, and genuinely passionate about making our journey special. He really loves what he does!
We visited breathtaking parks and reserves, witnessed the Big Five up close, and enjoyed comfortable accommodations along the way. Every day felt like a new adventure, and we always felt safe and well taken care of.
What began as a leap of faith became the journey of a lifetime. We wholeheartedly recommend them—and especially Mr. Charles—to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

Unforgettable Safari with „Crater Explorer Tours and Safaris“ and our driver Charls!
We had an amazing experience with Crater Explorer Tours and Safaris during our trip to Tanzania’s national parks. Everything was organized perfectly – from the communication beforehand to the actual safari itself.
Our guide and driver, Charls, was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the journey. Thanks to his experience and sharp eye, we saw an incredible variety of wildlife – including the breathtaking Great Migration, which was a true highlight of our trip.
The itinerary was well-balanced, accommodations were comfortable, and we felt safe and well taken care of at every step.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly authentic and memorable safari experience in Tanzania!

A truly memorable adventure through Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro
We had an unforgettable safari with Crater Explorer Tours, visiting Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
Our guide Joseph was fantastic, he always gave us plenty of time at the animal sightings, answered all our questions, and took great care of us. Thanks to him, we experienced so many incredible moments in nature.
A big thank you as well to our cook Joakim: the food was always fresh, delicious, and varied. The soups especially were outstanding!
It was a truly amazing trip with many unforgettable experiences and wonderful people. We can highly recommend Crater Explorer Tours! 🌍🐘🦁
