Quintessential Safari Experience
This was my second Safari in Tanzania and I felt it was incredibly good value. All the places we stayed along the way were incredibly comfortable. The staff do everything possible to ensure you have a good experience. Because of our shorter trip the guides sought to maximize our time viewing animals and we were often the last ones to camp but our accommodations were extremely comfortable and food was hot.
Our guide David was very warm and knowledgeable about the animals we saw. Between the Serengeti and the Crater we saw the Big Five! I definitely recommend this company for folks seeking a customizable experience and who are more budget conscious as you will get a very robust experience.

Stunning Safari
That were 5 unforgettable days! My girlfriend and I booked a 5-day camping safari through the Crater Explorer website at a good price. The booking process was simple and smooth. Emanuel always helped reliably with questions.
The safari itself was truly fantastic. With our experienced guide/driver Charles, we were able to see and learn about many great animals. Emanuel, our cook, provided us with very good food three times a day and told us many interesting things about Tanzania and his life. (Especially his soups are great). Both are very nice people who made our safari even more special and whom we already miss a bit.
A really good small safari company. I can wholeheartedly recommend Crater Explorer to anyone.

unforgettable
We had booked a 5-day Camp Safari and it was truly beautiful. We always felt safe and well-cared for by our guide "Charls" and our cook "Emanuel".
Charls took us safely everywhere and explained a lot about the animals and nature, and Emanuel cooked the best food for us!!!
Especially his soups are out of this world. Both of them speak impeccable English, which made communication really easy. Thanks to the two of them, we didn't lack anything for a single moment, and I would like to express a big thank you for that.
The organization of the safari was also really well communicated. After we arrived in Arusha, we practically didn't have to worry about anything anymore. I also want to mention that this company has a really fair price-performance ratio. It was worth every cent, and we're incredibly happy to take these memories home with us.

Reliable, responsive.
Emanuel was very responsive and reliable. We choose mid-range group safari. Accomodations were good, some quite luxurious, some tented in the middle of the Serengeti. We saw every animals. The only annoying thing was we were put together with tourists who booked with other operators so they had different accomodations and we spent a lot of time transporting everyone to and from their own hotels. I would recommend booking a private Safari with Crater.

We had an amazing safari experience thanks to this wonderful travel company! Everything was perfectly organised from start to finish. Amazing experience
This was my second time going on safari with this company, and once again, it was an incredible experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable and made every game drive fascinating — we learned so much. The cook was amazing too, always thoughtful and prepared delicious meals every day. This time I came back with my family, and they loved it just as much as I did. Wonderful safari in Tanzania
We made the safari with Crater Explorer and we had a great experience.
The organisation was very efficient, out driver Charles is competent, very kind and professionali. The lodges very beautiful, confortable and clean.
Emanuel always reachable and available for all the requests.
Tanzania is a wonderful country.

Great organizing makes the trip successful
It was beautiful safari trip thanks to the owner Mr Emanuel who organized everything and let us see a lot of things in a 4 day trip safari our driver Mr Lawrence was helpful and a good experienced driver .

Mt. Meru Trekking
We booked the Mt. Meru Trekking (3 days). The communication with Emanuel was always prompt and helpful. Our chef on the hike prepared great food for us
The hike itself was challenging but also fun. The problem we had was our guide Mike who started too late on summit day, so that we were rushed to the summit without any possibility to catch breathe or stop for drinking and didn't make it on time for sunrise. And the worst for me was his unprofessional behavior in challenging and dangerous parts of the mountain. But this rate is only because of the bad experience with this particular person not overall with the company.
