Passionate
Kihindo tours are good value for money with a door-door transfer service. The Communication with the booking team is easy and straightforward (asante Pilly). We travelled from Dar Es Salam to Nyerere national Park and returned for a 3 day tour, our guide Abel was very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we weren't able to see any African Wild Dogs as they had recently left the area but there are plenty of other incredible African safari animals to spot and the landscape within the park is beautiful and unique.

Organized
My boyfriend and I did a two day trip - 1 day in Mikumi and 1 day in the Uluguru Mountains. Everything was wonderful! Kihindo is very on top of communication and took care of everything - meals, transport, etc. We were surprised to learn our safari was private, which made it even better! Considering it also included a night stay in a nice lodge, we thought it was well worth the price for everything we got. Our tour guides were awesome - so knowledgeable and kind! Shoutout to Danford, our guide at Mikumi, who went out of his way so we could go back to see the hippos and crocs at the end of the day, then took us for an up close of the lions! We were happy with the food the entire trip, particularly want to shout out Camp Bastian, where we stayed for a night. Our tour guide for the second day was great and took many photos for us! Will say that the hike to the waterfall is all uphill, but definitely worth it to get to pass through the area and greet the local people! The waterfall was awesome and there were some amazing views on the way up. Highly recommend this company!

Amazing experience all around
Started the day by being picked up and dropped off at the train station from Dar. Once we arrived to Morongo we went straight to the game drive. Our tour guide Danford was very knowledgeable and enjoyed the drive as much as we did. Saw Giraffes, Impalas, Baboons, Velvet Monkeys, Warthogs, and the kings of the jungle themselves. It was a bit rushed as everyone was hoping to get into a view of the lions but our driver got a call of another sighting at the end of the day and we checked it out and it was amazing. All around a great experience.
The second day we went to the Choma waterfall with our guide Meshack and we opted for the hike instead of the motorcycle ride up. The hike itself wasn’t too strenuous although it was a little over an hour with some water breaks, there were amazing views along the way and the waterfall was even better. Water was cold but you could take a dip and sit on the swing for a bit as well.
All around would highly recommend, it was a great experience and one that I will not forget.

Exceptional
The whole experience from pick up to the incredible stay at the lodge was great. The game drive at Mikumi National Park with Danford was amazing. He shared his knowledge about the wildlife and answered all our questions we had. The whole staff from the driver, the masai and the staff at the lodge made sure that we were well taken care of. So I would highly recommend them:)

MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE
My friends and I booked with Kihindo Tours and Safaris, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The safari with our guide, Danfort, was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. His deep knowledge of the animals made the journey truly enriching, and we learned so much from him. This trip exceeded all my expectations: from the Masai village tour to the safari itself, our amazing driver who picked us up at the hotel, the fascinating conversations with locals around the fire, and the delicious breakfasts and dinners. We were especially touched by the female staff who welcomed us back from each tour with open arms, singing and dancing with us. It created such a warm and joyful atmosphere. I highly recommend Kihindo Tours and Safaris, and I would love to return someday!

Beautiful Safari
We had an amazing 3-day safari experience at Nyerere National Park! The highlight was definitely the boat safari on the Rufiji River, where we got to see countless hippos and crocodiles up close in their natural environment – truly breathtaking.
The full-day game drive was equally incredible. We were lucky enough to spot everything we had hoped for: elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, lions, warthogs, antelopes, and of course, more crocodiles. It was like living a dream, surrounded by the beauty of African wildlife.
On the last day, we enjoyed a fun and unique walking safari in the bush with a Bushman, which gave us a completely different perspective of the park and its ecosystem.
Our accommodation was clean, comfortable, and very functional – we couldn’t have asked for better. The food was delicious, fresh, and authentic. We were always provided with packed lunches during the safaris, and even for the transfer back to the airport, which was a thoughtful touch.
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting safari adventure that combines incredible wildlife encounters with great value for money.

Absolutely great guide
We went on the Nyerere and Miluki Parks Safari and had a great time. Our guide Michael was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about not only the animals in the parks but had an amazing ability to spot even the smallest of interesting species. He also gave us great insights into the life and politics of Tanzania. The lodges were comfortable and the food was good at both.
