A beautiful experience that could have been even better
A wonderful experience. You become one with nature and it’s Habitat. All the parks are unique with their scenery and habitat. Was able to see all of the big 5 of the African safaris. Our guide was positive and explained all the details, a true person.

Alessandra made our Tanzania tour experience exceptional, amazing and magical.
Leaving the States with no preconceived notions about Tanzania, we (7 of us) were excited to find our tour and Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks a dream come true. Not only were we able to experience the best in photographic safaris because of our guides Nixon and Kisamu, who expertly commandeered our land rovers and dished out important details about both the flora and fauna) but we were also able to truly get a first hand look at the local inhabitants accommodations ( guided enthusiastically by Karim) and a colorful Masai village. We were surprised to learn that Masai children attend school from 3 yrs on in their one room schoolroom but also may continue to higher education away at school. Thankfully, most Tanzanians know some English and communication wasn't the very hampered; when necessary, our guides Nixon, Kisamu and Brighton, stepped in to translate.
Our terrific, clean, accommodations, which provided little oases in the dry period, included savory meals and picnic lunches (you will be cautioned to watch out for thieving birds/monkeys) when on safari--we couldn't have asked for more. All hotel and camp personnel were kind, welcoming, friendly and happy to take care of our needs--even taking care of the laundry!! After a long, hot day in the land rover, it was also a bonus to jump into a refreshing pool to cool off. Even in the wilds of Tanzania, we lacked for nothing which couldn't be provided; rest areas were plentiful along the way---no need to worry about toilets unless one is unfamiliar with "turkish toilets".
We can't thank Alessandra and her staff enough for their expertise and teamwork. Our transport from one locale to another was seamless--with one glitch on a larger bus hampered on it's path by the rocky dirt roads...all in a day's travels. Importantly, Alessandra arranged for my husband, born in Iringa, to visit his ancestral home and travel to his grammar school in Arusha.
This trip, with Alessandra organizing at the helm and of course our great guides, expert drivers and accommodations staff was the dream of a lifetime for my husband and an unforgettable experience for us all. Kudos to Savannah Explorers!! We highly recommend you !!

We loved everything!
We booked a trip for 6 people, with 6 days of Safari in Tanzania and 3 nights in Zanzibar. Everything was perfectly organized by Sultan from Savannah Explorers.
The Safari itself was an amazing experience.
Our guide Felix was the best! We could feel his experience. He is very knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and respectful of the animals. He's also very nice :)
We're very happy we put our trust in Savannah Explorers for this once in a lifetime experience. Might turn into a "twice in a lifetime" as we all very much want to go back!

Professional, reliable safari. company
Travelled with family with Savannah explorers based in Arusha to Tanzania's safari parks, we weren't disappointed. Thomas, or uncle T as we called him was our guide. His knowledge about the plants, trees and animals is amazing. We managed to see the big 5 on two separate drives, plus many of the other animals including some of the harder ones to find. He went out of his way to help us. The lodges, camps used are excellent, the food throughout was brilliant.
The whole experience from initial enquiry to completion was smooth, communication, excellent and value for money beyond belief.
Would I recommend Savannah Explorers? Without hesitation, asante sana for memories that will last a lifetime.

Wonderfull family safari with Savannah Explores & Gerry
We, a Swiss family (2 adults / 3 kids), spent a wonderfull week with Savannah Explorers.
The organization of the tour with Micky was perfect.
At the airport, our guide Gerry waited for us and welcomed us heartly.
We loved the almost new safari car (Toyota Land cruiser) with the good seats and that we could go private as family.
We did the northern safari circuit. It was so beautifull (see pictures). The lodges are so nice and clean - all in excellent places!!!
At the tented lodges we loved the combination of nature and luxury.
Gerry, our guide was the best driver and a perfect guide for us and the kids. He always listend to our wishes and could fullfill all of them. He always was able to find the wild animals and was in contact with all the other cars to find the predators (lions, lepard, etc.). We enjoyed every minute of this week!!

Professionalism, Efficiency, Availability and Constant Presence
We are very satisfied because we have received maximum attention and continuous assistance since we started organizing the trip, we thank Alessia for always being very helpful.
A special thank you to our guide Ally, known as Papaa, because he was truly wonderful, he was always very thorough in his explanations relating to the culture of Tanzania and ready to answer all our questions. We were able to see his profound knowledge of the places visited (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) because thanks to this, and also to a "hunter's eye”, in less than two days we were able to meet not only the BIG FIVE but even the BIG NINE and much more!. Ally also brilliantly resolved an unfortunate inconvenience that occurred during the tour. I take the liberty of recommending him to Italian visitors because he also speaks Italian well. In the Serengeti we also saw the sunrise from a hot air balloon, a fantastic experience!! The hotels chosen in both Tanzania and Zanzibar met our needs perfectly.
