Excellent!
The itinerary arranged by Morningstar Travel was excellent. During our 11-day trip through Kenya and Tanzania, everything was planned very smoothly. Our guide Boniface in the Maasai Mara gave us a great start with his detailed explanations of the animals. In Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, our guide Jackson led us to see a wide variety of wildlife — including three sightings of cheetahs and three of leopards — making the journey truly unforgettable.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Safari- Thanks to our Incredible Guide Tim
My wife and I just returned from the most unforgettable experience of our lives- and it’s all thanks to our phenomenal safari planning with Joysharon and our guide Timothy!
Joysharon was very helpful prior to our trip and checked in daily throughout our 4 day safari ensuring we were happy with our lodging, experiences and safari drives.
From the moment we stepped into the 4x4, Tim greeted us with warmth and knowledge of the wildlife. Over the course of our safari, he seemed to have an almost magical ability to know where the animals would be and he had such a close relationship to the other guides always sharing his knowledge with them. We saw cheetahs basking in the sun, a crocodile warming along the shore, hyena’s protecting their scraps from vultures, hippos staying cool in the river, elephants walking with their babies, zebras, giraffes and antelope galore! Tim also ensured my personal request of finding a leopard who walked right along side of our Jeep and The King of the Jungle- 2 male lions hiding in the bush keeping an eye on their morning catch!
This was my wife and mines long await honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Asante sana!!!

Wonderful company, guide, and accommodations!
My experience with Morning Star tours exceeded my expectations. We loved our kind and thoughtful guide and everywhere we went was beautiful. Each of the places we stayed was better than the previous one, and we saw all the animals at close distance. This company seemed to be one of the more affordable ones out there so I was really impressed with the high quality of everything. I will definitely recommend Morning Star tours to anyone looking to go on Safari in Kenya.

Morning star tours had everything covered making our safari trip so easy and extremely pleasurable!
Joysharon was our contact for Morningstar and was extremely helpful in our planning process, frequently checking in leading up to and throughout our safari ensuring our experience was exactly what we wished for. When our driver Timothy was misguided and need up at the wrong hotel for our initial pickup, Joysharon was very reassuring and stayed in contact throughout.
Our driver Timothy was extremely accommodating throughout our time with him! He made sure we saw the many animals and set us up for amazing photos ops including with the evasive leopard! When another company’s vehicle broke down, Tim demonstrated his kind heartedness by helping out the other driver ensuring other people continued to have an enjoyable experience as well!

This company was terrific from the first quote to the last moment at the Nairobi airport.
I was amazed that Alica Moraa could create a perfect, affordable, private safari for me and my adult children. The original quote had me wanting to get on the plane that moment. None of the other companies I contacted were as helpful.
Alice's support with details, my personal challenges, and care were terrific. She is professional and delightful. She even met us at the Nairobi airport to give us a refund on a small excursion that had to be cancelled because of bad weather. I was shocked.
I was also amazed at the quality of the tour that Alice put together for us. Each location we visited, and each lodging she arranged was equal to or better than the last one. After our first arrival at Zebra Plaines Mara Camp, we worried that we had been totally spoiled. Every location and activity was magical. We were never disappointed. I am 77 , and my daughter is a vegan. I wondered if those things would be problems. The tour accommodated us perfectly. Also, everywhere we went the food was terrific, and varied and plentiful enough for all.
John Maina, our guide, became a great friend in addition to a professional expert guide. He loves his job, and it shows. So many times, I felt he had ordered the animals to appear for our personal benefit. His ability to spot animals in the wild, and predict their behavior put us in the right spot time after time. He knows a lot about the wildlife, so be sure to ask him lots of questions. We also watched him help and support other guides during our time together. He is a very good man in addition to being a very good guide.
His personal care for us was also always evident. As an old lady, he never seemed to tire of helping me in and out of the Land Rover multiple times a day. His careful driving on roads that could be very challenging showed his care for our comfort and safety. I'd almost like to repeat the exact same safari, just to have John take care of us again.
We were blessed to have found Morningstar. We will never forget the friendship and the experience.

Absolutely Outstanding Safari and Beach Holiday – Exceeded All Expectations!
From my very first interaction with Morningstar, I knew I was dealing with a truly exceptional travel company. I’ve booked with some of the most high-end, luxury travel firms before, but the level of service, care, and attention to detail provided by Morningstar far surpassed anything I’ve experienced.
From start to finish – and even after we returned home – the experience was seamless, professional, and deeply personalized. Joysharon was my main point of contact and she was simply brilliant. She was knowledgeable, efficient, clear, patient, and truly empathetic. No matter the 7-hour time difference, her communication was always prompt, thorough, and thoughtful. We spoke over the phone, on WhatsApp, and via email – each time I felt completely heard and well taken care of. Joysharon played a key role in crafting what turned out to be a perfect and unforgettable trip.
While in Kenya, we were looked after with exceptional care. Every driver we encountered was punctual, professional, and courteous. Our safari guide, Alex, deserves the highest praise. His deep knowledge of wildlife, warm personality, and skilled driving transformed our safari into something magical. Thanks to Alex, we had incredible animal encounters and never once got stuck – even when other vehicles did! His Toyota Land Cruiser, which was reserved just for my husband and me, was in pristine condition, exceptionally comfortable, and clearly well-maintained. We even witnessed Alex offering helpful guidance to another driver whose vehicle was stuck – a true testament to his experience and professionalism.
Every hotel and lodge we stayed in was carefully chosen, booked, and prepaid by Morningstar. Check-ins were always smooth and hassle-free, with welcoming staff waiting for us. Accommodations were excellent, and the meals at every stop were fresh, plentiful, delicious, and varied.
From the thrilling days on safari to the relaxing beach extension, this trip far exceeded our expectations. Morningstar didn’t just organize a vacation – they delivered a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Amazing Kenya and Tanzania Safari
My wife and I visited Kenya and Tanzania for an 8-day safari, which resulted in one of the best trips we have ever done.
Morningstar was great since the beginning. After just one day of sending my request for a quote, Dennis replied with a full 20-page itinerary with different accommodation options and with everything I previously requested. After that, Dennis was on top of everything giving us different options and following up with our visa and yellow fever vaccine status. The coordination and planning of the trip was impecable.
Regarding our drivers, Rono and James were nothing but amazing. Since the first day they built rapport with good conversation and great service and attention to details. They both taught us a lot about their country and the animals we were looking at. At the end of the day, in this type of trip, you spend 10-12 hours a day with your drivers in the Land Cruiser, so they are key for having a great safari experience. When we come back, for sure we will be asking for Rono or James.

Great drive and sightings
Had a great few days in the company of morning star and with Willy being our guide- driver. He did an excellent job in helping us with sighting in the 4 days of our trip. We did a rare sighting of serval cat and others. Overall will highly recommend the tour group and our guide Willy.

The perfect tour around Kenya
