Professional service, great communication and tour delivered as promised.
The communication from Jules leading up to the tour was timely and professional. We also asked for an extra bespoke day to be added and the team proved highly flexible in providing this. We were met by both Jules and the guide, Noel at the begining of the tour at pour hotel. We then set off and had a fabulous 4 days. We were veruy pleased that we chose Uganda to see gorillas which was Jule's recommendation. It proved to be better value for money than Rwanda and we got a much authenticate experience.

Savana Woods is the real deal
I want to split my review into 3 part.
First of all, Savana Woods is the real deal!
A professional company with the best customer service I have seen! Lucy is just amazing! Always available, happy to help, proactive I am just speechless! I had issues here and there, she took care of every little thing I had with such patience and grace it was just pleasure!
Second is the trip, highly recommended! We saw plenty of animals even on the low season, cheata hunting, plenty lions and lioness, elephants, giraffes, hippos and many more!
Evans the tour guide was always helping, considering and fun.
Third the mara sopa lodge was a good option in a good location, the food was great with many options and the food biz for the Safari day was also excellent!
Thank you Savana Woods for an unforgettable experience!!

Amazing!
It was a great and pleasant experience dealing with Savannah.
Lucy helped in all the arrangement in making this trip smooth sailing. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to postponed our trip, she was very understand and accommodating
Our guide, Peter had an incredible ability to spot animals we never would have notice on our own. The game drives were interesting and fun. He was at his best to fulfill all request and very patient in answering all our questions. That said, we experienced issue in time management. For both mornings we did not pick up on agreed time and there was no update.
Despite this, we still had a great time with Peter and we enjoyed the services by Savannah.

Unforgettable Safari with the Best Team!
This was our very first safari in Kenya, and thanks to Lucy and our guide Kevin, it became an unforgettable journey!
When we first reached out to book the safari, Lucy was incredibly helpful—she responded to all our questions quickly and thoroughly, which made us feel very reassured, even from faraway Japan. She was also flexible with the payment options, which made the whole process smooth and worry-free.
During the safari, we were deeply grateful for Kevin's outstanding guidance. He picked us up early in the morning to match our flight schedule, and from that moment on, everything was handled with care and professionalism. His calm and friendly attitude, exceptional driving skills, and sharp eye for spotting wildlife allowed us to see every animal we dreamed of—and more! Whenever we were captivated by a particular animal, he gave us plenty of time to watch and enjoy without rushing us. It was such a peaceful and fulfilling experience.

Brilliant, adjustable for your needs and easy to communicate with
I would like to say a big thank you to Savannah Woods Safaris and, mainly, my key contact person - Lucy!
She was always responsive, listening and adjusting an itinerary according to my wishes and places i want to visit. She even help me to amend my trip (on the way) and extend it to Amboseli, which was not planned initially.
Our guide and driver Denis was also one of the best! We were lucky to see big hunting of lions tribe for the buffulo in Masai Mara, catch double rainbows on the way, to see flamingo dancing, locate ourselves exactly on the background of elephants and Kilimanjaro to take best photos.

5 star all the way. Extremely professional and accommodating.
A truly amazing experience from start to finish. We were picked up in Nairobi by Kevin on day 1. He dropped us at the airport on Day 4. Throughout we were treated like kings. Kevin is an excellent driver and extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw. He was able to show us animals and experiences that were beyond anything we anticipated we’d be able to see. We actually gained a greater appreciation for everything Kevin was able to do when we took a dawn balloon ride. While the ballon flight was well worth doing, we expected to see great amounts of animals from the air, but saw very few. This shows how skilled Kevin is at finding the truly spectacular sights. We really didn’t realize how close we would be to these animals when we booked this trip.
On our way to the Maasai Mara, we stopped at a Maasai village where we were greeted warmly with dancing and learned about their culture.
Working with Lucy was smooth and Savannah Woods was very accommodating as we booked everything via email and internet. She booked us into the Entim Private camp which was simply amazing. Fantastic views, spectacular food and their service was worthy of any 5 star hotel in the world. Nightly visits from hippos, elephants and lions rounded out the experience.
Lunch beside an acacia tree out on the savannah was only topped by the last night’s “sundowner” where we enjoyed wine and snacks as the sun was setting. All arranged by Savannah Woods Safaris.

Wonderful and smooth experience
I had a wonderful time with Savannah Woods. I did a joining, 3-day Masai Mara safari as I was short on time. I was able to see so much in that short amount of time. I would absolutely come back and do a second safari with Savannah Woods. Lucy was extremely responsive and helpful with my last minute booking. She made the whole process really smooth and easy. Our driver, Jim, was the best driver and always got to the front of the cars so we didn't get dust in our faces. Thank you very much Lucy, Jim, and the whole Savannah Woods team!

Great and organised!
I enjoyed my tour with Savannah woods, the car was very clean and in great condition, the tour guide was very nice, well-informed and explained everything. logistics were all perfectly taken care of. I was traveling solo and felt very safe and enjoyed my time so much. I would highly recommend them!

Experience of a lifetime!
Our Masai Mara safari was truly the trip of a lifetime, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide, John. From the moment we set out, he made every second special. On our very first game drive, he somehow managed to show us nearly the entire Big Five within just a few hours, something we never thought possible. His sharp eye for spotting wildlife was unbelievable, and he always positioned us perfectly to take in the best views and capture amazing photos.
The absolute highlight was witnessing the Great Migration. We had a 3 day safari so we were so incredibly lucky that John was able to get us to see it! John’s knowledge of the animals, the land, and the Masai Mara itself brought everything to life. He didn’t just show us the wildlife; he taught us their behaviors, the history of the park, and even small details that made us appreciate the safari so much more.
John’s warmth, patience, and passion for his work was incredible. He always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and having the best possible experience. His enthusiasm was contagious, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does.
