Amazing Solo Safari Experience at Amboseli!
I was looking for a tour to Amboseli when this operator popped up. They provided a clear quote with transparent fees and a detailed itinerary. It was a 2-day, 1-night stay at Ol Tukai Lodge — such a beautiful lodge with a great atmosphere! (Beware of the monkeys.)
Lucy was in constant communication, which made me feel safe and well taken care of throughout the tour, especially since I was traveling solo. The accommodation was great, and the food provided was good as well. I had the car all to myself, so it wasn’t crowded at all.
The game drive was fun. Anthony, my guide, was a fun and flexible guy. I also requested Lucy to arrange dinner at a local eatery before my flight, and had the best Nyama Choma!
Pro tip: Shop at the Ol Tukai Lodge gift shop first before heading to Goldfinch Curious Arts & Gallery. Some items, like caps and shirts, are cheaper at Ol Tukai — and you don’t have to haggle!

Savannah Woods planned and provided a holiday exactly as we planned with good communication.
We spent a lot of time planning the trip with Savannah Woods, they helped us to plan the trip exactly as we wanted it to our budget. Their communication was good and they responded quickly to enquiries. Once planned, the trip went as planned, the guide we had was absolutely fabulous and Savannah Woods checked in with us throughout the trip to ensure all was going well. It was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very good with our 6 year old. He made sure we got the most out of our trip but did it in a relaxed but professional manner. We were so sad to leave him and Kenya.

5 Star of hospitality & honesty
I and my wife joined 2days 1night Amboseli Safari, including 2 game drives. We chose Sopa Lodge, mid-range accommodation.
Before the Safari experience it self their hospitality had started.
Lucy, a operator lady is always helpful and honest. Also she replies promptly.
They offered reasonable price with good lodges from the first quotation. This made us stress-free.
We customized the plan as Nairobi - Amboseli - Namanga because we wanted to go to Tanzania after this Safari.
Lucy researched the detail information to cross the border by bus for us. This made us relieved very much cause crossing border is always sensitive.
Antony, our tour guide was also a nice guy.
He drove carefully and gave us the rich information about the animals and Amboseli.
He was also helping us to get the van from Namanga to Arusha (Tanzania). His help also relieved us a lot.
Overall it was wonderful experience!
We experienced not only Safari itself but warm heart and hospitality of Savannah Woods.

Perfect
We did a group safari of Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and a private safari of Amboseli and Tsavo West. Everything - since the beginning when we planned the trip - was perfectly arranged, on time and beyond our best expectations. The guides (David and Brian) were really amazing and we learnt a lot about wildlife. Lucy from Savannah was following our trip checking on us and I would recommend to anyone this tour operator!

Excellent service for both Masai Mara and Amboseli
Thanks Savannah Woods Safari for the great first time experience in Kenya! We booked 2 guided Safari with them, one group one to Masai Mara and one private one to Amboseli. All went very well and we enjoyed it so much. Lucy is great for all the communication and discussion before the booking, and also took good care and checked with us during our Safari to make sure everything goes well. Both of our guide James and Charles were also great, showed us a lot animals and explained quite a lot. Would highly recommend Savannah Woods Safari!!

I, my wife Noureen and our two year old had an experience of a lifetime with Savannah Woods! Lucy our tour operator was very professional and was in touch with us throughout our journey making sure she provides us with the best experience possible. Shoutout to our guide Jackson! Such a vibrant person with an incredible knowledge and sense of humor that made a 7 hour safari journey memorable. We were lucky enough to see a wide range of species in Kenya, meet and greet with the Masai tribe and get to know them and their lives in person. Hands down the best trip we had so far!!

Exceptional Safari
We embarked on a 7 day safari in Kenya with Savannah woods in December 2025. We visited Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru Naptional Park and Masai Mara national reserve.
We planned our itinerary with Lucy who was our point of contact throughout the journey. She was always responsive to our emails and messages. She also made very helpful recommendations to ensure we got the best experience.
Our guide/driver was Kevin. He was very professional and went out of his way to make sure we saw all the wildlife. Kevin always gave useful information about the wildlife and the parks. Kevin was always receptive to our feedback and made sure we had a good time. To ensure we saw the best wildlife, Kevin co-ordinated with other drivers as well. I highly recommend Kevin as a guide.
The vehicle(Toyota Landcruiser) was slightly dated and showed it's age. However that did not hamper our safari in any way! Having a modern vehicle will help this company go a step further.
Overall, we were very pleased with Savannah woods and recommend them. Especially our guide Kevin.

Amazing Safari tour for the first time, brian indigo the best tour guide
I have just returned from our safari, and we are still struggling to find the words to describe how truly magical this experience was. From start to finish, every detail was impeccably handled by the Savanah Woods team.
Our guide, Brian, was an absolute superstar. His knowledge of the wildlife, ecosystems, and local culture was astounding. He had a keen eye for spotting animals we would have easily missed, from a leopard perfectly camouflaged in a tree to a herd of elephants silently crossing the path. He wasn't just a driver; he was a passionate conservationist who made every game drive an exciting adventure.
The accommodations were fine, a budget but not compromised one. The lodges were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
We saw the Big Five and so much more. But beyond the incredible animal sightings, it was the little moments—the silence of the landscape, the brilliance of the stars at night, the warmth of the people—that truly captured our hearts.
I felt safe, well-cared-for, and completely immersed in the beauty of Africa.
