Unforgettable experience with a world-class team !!!
We had an absolutely fantastic 3-day safari tour at Nyerere park, that exceeded all our expectations!
Mahamudu Omar is a phenomenal tour-guide! His deep understanding and knowledge about animal behavior and wildlife made every drive special. We learned so much and felt incredibly lucky to have him by our side.
Our driver Mkali did a fantastic job! Navigating the rough terrain seemed effortless, and we always felt completely safe. Plus, they had a great eye for spotting animals and placing the jeep in the perfect place for taking good pictures.
This team made our trip unforgettable. We highly recommend Mahamudu and Mkali! 10/10!
Fantastic safari.
We had a fantastic 3 day safari in Selous. Our driver and guide Mr Poli and Mr Martin were absolutely brilliant , they were both very knowledgeable and funny making us both laugh. We saw everything we wanted even waiting for nearly 3 hours for the Leopard to come out of some bushes , awesome.
We only gave 4 stars due to us paying extra to stay at Mufasa tented camp and them not passing the details to any staff. We arrived to an empty camp wih no staff there only a Massai who was guarding camp. We had to wait until staff arrived later before we could do anything. Not the staff's fault just bad management planning.The staff were fantastic and location brilliant on the lake edge.
Also alcohol was not provided ( you have to bring your own) and not mentioned on website , which would have been a nice end to a day's safari watching the sun go down.

We went on a two-day safari, and of course, the highlight was the game drives in the Jeep. We had a very experienced guide named Martin. What we particularly appreciated was the way he showed us the Selous National Park, always with great respect for nature and the animals, combined with a wealth of knowledge.
Kazungu is also a very careful and considerate driver.
We also highly recommend the boat safari, which we booked with the same operator the day before.

We opted for the 3 nights and 4 day package, which allowed us to gain the most from our experience here in Tanzania. Everything was well organised, including transfers, flights, accommodation, trips and even meals, which left us to relax and enjoy without having to worry about the logistics.
Our tour guide Martin and driver Poli were knowledgeable but friendly and welcoming for our game drives. The other guides, whose names I unfortunately don’t remember for the bush walk and village tour, were also excellent. As were all of the staff at the Selous Safari Lodge. The room was clean upon arrival, along with being cleaned daily and the food at the lodge had tasty set meals.
Overall a fantastic experience that topped off our honeymoon and can’t thank all those involved enough. Memories we will cherish forever.

An unforgettable safari with Raphael
We had a wonderful experience with Uwanda Tours and Safaris. Everything was well organized, communication was clear, and the whole trip felt smooth and reliable from start to finish. Our guide, Raphael, was exceptional: friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always attentive to our needs. His experience made every game drive more interesting, and he helped make the safari truly memorable. Excellent service and great value for money—we would happily recommend Uwanda Tours and Safaris to anyone planning a safari.
NOTE: I’d recommend avoiding bank transfers if possible, as Tanzanian banks can be slow with timing and communication.

Very professional and knowledgeable
We did a 4-day tour in Nyerere with Uwanda and we loved it. First of all, communicating with the company from home was very easy. They responded promptly, were very clear in their offer and provided a custom made programme. Kapande was our tour guide and was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating of all our needs. He went out of his way to try to find the species we most wanted to see. He shared interesting facts about wildlife and the park. He was also very flexible in planning the days. He can also communicate very effectively with the other park guides which ensured he always had the best information about the species that were spotted during the day in the park.

Great experience with Uwanda Tours
Our Safari tour was amazing from start to finish. Our driver on the first day, Raphael, was really friendly and we had a great time going around the national park spotting different animals. Everyone else has also been really welcoming especially at the Selous Safari Lodge.

Efficient, reliable and knowledgeable
We booked a 3 day Safari with Uwanda Tours from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park. Ole was our very knowledgeable guide/driver. They picked us from our accommodation which was very convenient. We started with a river boat safari which was a relaxing way to start our visit. Our next day started with a 12 hour Safari drive where we saw a lion, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and plenty of giraffe, buffalo, wilderbeasts and antelope and many more. What was lovely was seeing the way the animals interacted with each other.
We were disappointed at not seeing more lions and the following day we went for another 6 hour Safari. Ole was determined not to let us down and we managed to find a pride of lions ready to hunt which was amazing to see as well as hyenas. We also did a night Safari with a ranger which added to the experience and saw some bush babies, hippos (out of the water) and a family of hyenas. We were kept informed daily by the tour company who were very punctual. I would 100% recommend Hassan and his team.
Everything you could hope for!
What an amazing experience! The Selous Safari Lodge was spectacular! Gorgeous rooms, lovely pool and great food... But the staff made it! From Maria at the front desk to all the other employees were kind, spoke English and went out of their way to make your stay. (Note they do not sell alcohol but will have it delivered 20 minutes from the nearby village if requested)
Martin and Poli made our trip one of a lifetime! They went out of their way to make sure we saw a wide variety of animals. Poli was a calm and respectful driver who would often point out animals or reposition the vehicle for a better view. Martins kind, gentle and warm laugh brought so much joy as he shared his vast knowledge of the plants and animals!

Fantastic safari!
Uwanda is a very reliable company. We took the 4-Day Flying package from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park and we couldn’t be happier.
Our guide Emily and our driver Mkali made the safari extra special. We also enjoyed swimming in the hot spring. Truly fantastic, thank you!
