My 11-Day Safari with Super Eagle: A Truly Outstanding Experience
5/5

I booked my 11-day safari with Super Eagle through safaribooking.com, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. From the very beginning, I was connected with Brian, who became my main point of contact.

---

Exceptional Support from Brian

Brian was simply fabulous—helpful, responsive, and always available. Over the month leading up to my trip, I asked him countless questions while comparing different safari operators. He consistently provided clear, detailed, and practical answers, which gave me the confidence to choose Super Eagle.

What impressed me even more was that his support didn’t stop once I booked—he continued to stay in touch throughout my travels in both Kenya and Tanzania, which gave me great peace of mind.

---

Kenya Safari (7 Days)

The drivers made my safari experience truly special.

In the Masai Mara, I was guided by Alvin for the first two days. He was incredibly knowledgeable, professionally qualified, and enriched every game drive with fascinating insights. Although traffic delays meant we missed the planned half-day drive on the first day, Alvin made sure the next day’s experience was unforgettable.

Later in the trip, I had the privilege of being guided by Leroy, who was simply outstanding. Without a doubt, he is one of the best guides I’ve ever had—approachable, engaging, and always going the extra mile. Leroy brought real excitement to every game drive, shared a wealth of knowledge, and constantly looked for ways to maximize the experience. Beyond being an excellent guide, he was also a genuinely kind and thoughtful person who cared deeply about making my safari memorable.

This reinforced one important lesson: while lodges provide comfort, the true highlight of a safari is the game drive—and the guide makes all the difference. With Alvin and Leroy, a good safari became an unforgettable one.

On my final day in Kenya, I was transferred to the border. Looking back, Alvin and Leroy’s flexibility, knowledge, and extra effort made every moment count.

Thanks to Super Eagle, along with Brian, Leroy, and Alvin, my seven days in Kenya were absolutely fabulous.

---

Tanzania Safari (3 Days)

The final leg of my safari was a 3-day trip in Tanzania, arranged by Super Eagle through their local partner, 7Wonders. Safari operations are handled differently in Tanzania compared to Kenya, so Super Eagle works with 7Wonders on the ground.

My guide, Hebrone, was absolutely fabulous. I think our expectations for the Serengeti were quite high, and that’s why I reached out at one point. But honestly, Hebrone did a fantastic job of bringing the Serengeti experience to life for us. He worked really hard to make sure we got the most out of our time there.

While the itinerary mentioned a lot, I quickly realized it’s impossible to cover everything in just one day in such a vast park. Still, Hebrone went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience.

One thing I hadn’t been aware of was that the camping equipment needed to be transported to and from the park. That was a misunderstanding on my part—but in the end, everything worked out smoothly.

Overall, the 3-day safari was fabulous, though I would recommend at least 3–4 days in Serengeti National Park alone if you want to truly explore it. Another important point to note is the long travel time—it takes about 7–8 hours from Arusha to reach the Serengeti, so shorter itineraries mean less time inside the park itself.

Despite these constraints, Super Eagle and 7Wonders organized everything seamlessly, Hebrone did an outstanding job as our driver-guide, and the Serengeti was absolutely breathtaking.

---

Final Thoughts

Thanks to Super Eagle, my 11-day safari across Kenya and Tanzania was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From Brian’s outstanding support, to Alvin, Leroy, and Hebrone’s exceptional guiding, and 7Wonders’ smooth organization in Tanzania, everything came together beautifully.

I wholeheartedly recommend Super Eagle to anyone planning a safari in Kenya or Tanzania—you’ll be in excellent hands.

Extremely unorganized and I felt they didn’t provide me with the services I purchased
1/5

I booked a 10 day Kenya and Tanzania safari. I am well travelled and this is far from my first tour. Overall I found the company extremely disorganized, my first driver uninterested and rude to other guests, and that I didn’t receive the services agreed on without actively being extremely vocal to get them and some I still didn’t get at all.

There are three main reasons I leave a one star review for this company.

1) I had a morning Safari booked for Masai Mara, the night before I hear the itinerary is changed and we are no longer going there. They told me this is because the government changed the rules from 24 hour passes to 12 hour passes, I would have hopped that they could have either purchased passes on the next morning as that is what I had purchased or made it up in some other way. They seemed completely uninterested in doing either. I was in a group with many others on many different tours, none of theirs had this option, I felt like because mine was the only one with this option they decided to not do anything about this.

2) After a short morning safari at Nakuru we headed to Amboseli, however on the way we had to stop at a gas station and wait for over two hours to get an additional two members in our vehicle, this meant we got in very late that night. We later found out the 2 members we were waiting for had just started there drive late that day due to the driver. I would have hoped the company would have either let us stay in Nakuru longer or would have sent the two others in a separate car.

3) When we went for our game drive in Amboseli our driver didn’t have the correct payment options causing us to be delayed. He then asked if one of us could pay and he would pay back, he said it was $4 but turned out it was far more. The fact that this delayed us and the fact that he tried to get us to pay more than he said was very concerning. If my AMEX when through (they didn’t take AMEX) I would have been charged a lot more than I was told.

4) When I crossed the border to Tanzania I was left alone and told a bus would be there at 10:30 to pick me up, already an hour wait after I got through the border. The bus however didn’t come until around 12:30 and didn’t leave until 1:30. It is lucky I had data to communicate with them otherwise I would have been in trouble. The fact that they would never proactively communicate with me or give me accurate times was extremely frustrating.

5) Communication: this was an issue throughout the trip, you would often not know ahead of time what was happening or when to wake up, several nights I would message them throughout the day asking the plan for the next day and they would say “someone will come tell you” but no one ever would even after asking multiple times, then I would have to wake up in the middle of the night and message some more before finding out what time I had to wake up.

6) One day our whole party arrived at the hotel and the front desk told us there were no reservations for us. I never got an answer from the company as to what happened but clearly it didn’t get booked. We then had to spend a bunch of time trying to figure out where we would all stay for the night as there were not enough rooms. Through pure generosity of the other people I was on tour with they decided to all cram into one room so I could have a room as the hotel only had two left. If not we would have been in a very bad situation late at night with a company that had proven they would make you wait a long time and would not communicate well.

That all being said Juma, my driver for the Tanzania portion was phenomenal. I just can’t justify giving anything but one star based on the other factors.

Overall this was an extremely frustrating experience and I would recommend staying away from this company. Hopefully I can save someone the pain.

Trusted agency for awesome safari
5/5

I was a solo woman traveller, so was cautious to have a good agency. Even if I chose a budget safari option, I was greatly taken care of by Super Eagle and Richard. He is a very nice and caring man and he is also always at your disposal to make sure your journey is smooth, enjoyable and comfortable.
We had a great time on the safari, 4x4 mini van, saw all the big five in the Masai Mara, went on to Lake Nakuru and Lake Navaisha then Amboseli for 6 days.
Our driver Clinton was awesome, new everyone and had some real skills to game drive ! He was always focused on the radio, was among the first one to spot the black Rhino and the first one to spot a group of 5 big lions. Crazy fabulous.
Accommodation was basic, which is normal for a budget option safari but always friendly and accommodating.
We stayed at Minti Mingi, Citymax hotel and Nyati Camp (who upgraded us on our oat night for no reason !)
Only thing I would wish to upgrade a bit is the food that was a bit the same all the time and really basic. Nyati Camp made a real effort and it was appreciated. Restaurants on the road were basic and could be improved.
When back in Nairobi, I had a meeting at my hotel with Richard, as he wanted to debrief and have my feeling on everything about the safari. It’s the first time an agency did that. I even got a farewell present from Richard, which I never expected and was very thoughtful of him.
Overall, I had a great and safe time. Richard and Super Eagle and Clinton can definitely be trusted and I will come back again with my family and will definitely book through Richard again.

Good communicators, friendly and efficient
5/5

As a 60+ mostly solo female traveller in East Africa, it’s vital to be able to trust and enjoy good communication with my driver and guide. Within minutes of being picked up from my house by Chris, from Super Eagles Travel and Tours, I felt relaxed and in good hands for the three-day trip from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. The disadvantage of traveling alone of course is always the cost, the advantage however is having an entire land cruiser to yourself and a schedule you can tailor to your own. Chris would stop without hesitation wherever and whenever I wanted to take photos and was very flexible with time. He went above and beyond. My entire experience from the initial booking with Super Eagles boss, Richard, to the luxury-tented accomodation at Sentrim Amboseli, to the safari itself, to being dropped back home, was excellent. Thank you Super Eagles!

Complicated traveling, lots of animal encounters, but also lots of non-essential payments occurring
3/5

Overall Rating: The overall travel experience was acceptable, but near the end of the trip, we realized there were communication misdirections and cost traps that led to many unnecessary expenses.

Main Issues:
1️⃣ Guide Replacement Without Prior Notice
* Our contracted guide, Wilson, was unexpectedly replaced with Alvin (no advance notice). While Alvin performed reasonably well later, this uncommunicated change felt disrespectful.

2️⃣ Excessive Cost Traps
* We were encouraged to join a "nature walk" (not disclosed as a paid activity upfront), which was of little value. Upon finishing the brief 20-minute walk, they demanded $30/person. After negotiation, we only paid $30 for the entire group.
* During the Masai Mara Safari, an on-site ranger was arranged to accompany us to see hippos and crocodiles, after which we were charged $10/person. Conversations with other tourists later confirmed this activity is typically free.
* Nakuru Crescent Island Hike: Besides the $20/person boat fee, we were charged an additional $20/person "island hiking fee". We later verified through social media and other travelers that the specific area we hiked in is free. Furthermore, we were rushed throughout the short (under 20 min) hike and not taken to the island center. The actual standard island hike costs $33, lasts over 40 minutes, and includes photo opportunities with animals in the center. (We were not informed of this option nor given a choice).

3️⃣ Poor Safari Timing Caused Itinerary Reduction
* Amboseli park tickets are valid for 24 hours. Due to the guide's incorrect scheduling of the Safari time (done without consultation), our contractually agreed-upon final day Morning Safari was canceled. They knew how to schedule correctly to allow us an extra Safari, but we were neither consulted nor given options. Our complaint to the office received no reasonable response.

4️⃣ Unprofessional Guide Conduct
* On the last day, we paid $180 to extend the jeep hire. We confirmed an itinerary (Giraffe Centre -> Market -> Restaurant - guide specified). We indicated we'd decide on the restaurant that day. Midway through the planned activities, we requested to change restaurants, offering 2-3 options within the distance range the guide himself had suggested, but he refused them all. While searching for a new restaurant (which took less than 15 minutes), the guide decided we were taking too long. Without any discussion, he abruptly drove us directly to the airport. We arrived around 3 PM without having lunch/dinner and had to wait 4 hours before we could even enter the terminal for security and food.

Highlights:
✅ Guide Alvin was proactive in tracking animals: He ensured close-up sightings of most animals (we saw nearly everything except a leopard).
✅ During Safaris, the guide actively shared knowledge about animals and nature, enriching the overall experience.
"Alvin was exceptionally personable — assisting with luggage daily and even buying us fruits. We tipped him generously with daily gifts, developing a friendly rapport that made the later conflict particularly disheartening."

Conclusion: While the wildlife viewing experience met expectations, issues with chaotic management, opaque pricing, and guide negligence were significant. We advise exercising caution when choosing this operator.

Real professional in this business💪🏻
5/5

It was amazing experience, first time in Africa. And we were so lucky to go to Safari with this company. Good price, amazing service, driver was very good and friendly! In Kenya he even broke his car for us, when we drive sooo fast to see cheetahs 🐆 It was soo cool. In just two days with them we already saw 4 animals from big five. And 5th we saw in Tanzania, when we also went with Super eagles. Me and my gf travel a lot. But here, it was something new, like another planet. And we happy we’ve been there with this company ☺️

Mixed Feelings
2/5

So me and my friend , booked a 10 days safari trip in both kenya and tanzania.

That included : masai mara, amboseli national park, lake nakuru and lake naivasha (kenya ) and serengeti national park, ngorogoro crater ( tanzania ) . Food , camps and hotels as well as transportation were all included . The total cost was around 1850usd . For starters, the kenya side was perfect, the driver-guide was always on time and did everything he could to make us have a great time and see as many animals as we could as close as possible.

Then it was tanzanias turn. To begin with , the driven wasnt on time as the hotel the first day when we were in arusha( before going to serengeti) . Secondly, we were supposed to do a 3 hours afternoon drive , before restinf at the camp. Not only didnt we do that but in addition on of the girl with whom we were having the safari , asked for a stop to see some hippos, the driver completely ignored her and continued going towards the camp. The driver-guide didnt seem to know how to drive, we stopped multiple times , during our 3 days in tanzania in order for him to find another driver and help him with his gear transmission. He also got lost multiple times going in and out of serengeti park making u turns every time until he finally finds the way. To sum up to this , at our first night at simba a camp in serengeti, regardless the fact that we have seen fire occuring at 17:00 when we reached the camp at 18:30 and we decided to inform the company( which knew nothing about the fire) we full understood the extent of the disaster. The camp was full of gas due to the fire and it was literally impossible to stay there ,beacuse we were only inhaling gas. After multiple messages and phone calls with the company , they told us that the lodge campa are way too expensive to pay(400 usd per person) and that all other camps were full . The result was that we werr forced to sleep there all night, putting our health at risk by the huge amount of gas he inhaled.

The company told ua that the tanzanian part wasnt run by them, but by another partner , the 7wonders, so they cant practically control all things

After returning back in nairobi, we told the office about how terrible the driver in tanzania was( he was a free lancer with 3 more times in the serengeti park as he told us) and about the fire etc and we demanded a compensation at least for the days we lost in Tanzania. They offered us either a day at the giraffe centre in nairobi or 50usd as a compensation.

Regardless the fact that the kenya part was perfect the real reason about this rating is that when you pay 1850usd for a safari in kenya you are hoping for better solutions when a huge problem appears.

Excellent budget tour!
5/5

As a solo woman traveler, I was very picky when selecting my safari and ended up going with Super Eagles because of the great price for the Kenya/Tanzania combo safari and the great reviews. Like other reviewers have noted, Bildad was extremely professional and helpful in planning the safari and communication was clear and prompt both during and before my trip.

The safaris in both countries were incredible. Rhino in Kenya and Mike in Tanzania were both amazing guides! We had long days in the car and they were both such pros - we saw all of the big five and so much more. We did SO many game drives, I felt like I 100% got my money's worth there.

The cars were comfortable and well-maintained and it was nice to meet fellow travelers on the shared safari in Tanzania. It actually ended up being just me in Kenya so I got a private safari for a few days! The lodging I had was two nights camping, two nights glamping and two nights hotel in Arusha. Camping among wild lions was unforgettable, and the glamping camp Nyati in Kenya was very nice. The food was all included and was very good African home cooking. A few nights I was able to buy local beer, which was cool!

Logistics were overall good, especially Bildad arranging someone local to help me at the land border crossing both times. It was super smooth however please note they didn't take card for the Tanzania visa - only cash ($100 if you're American) so have that with you. This part is always the most nerve-wracking solo but everyone I encountered was helpful and make me feel comfortable, which I appreciate.

A few notes of feedback that don't take away from my high rating:
- It might be helpful to have some kind of FAQ material to give once people book to know what to pack and what to expect. For example, my safari truck in Tanzania couldn't accommodate large bags and luckily I didn't bring one, but I almost did.
- A few times, transportation was quite late or not what I expected. I had to give one driver directions to my hotel and another was two hours late and told me he didn't know I was going to the airport. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but traveling alone I like to feel confident in my transport.
- I asked Bildad about bringing USD vs. local currency and he said USD was fine along with my credit card. Everywhere in Kenya took card, but in Tanzania, I wished I had changed some shillings. I ended up getting my hotel to give me like $20 worth. It's much cheaper to buy things in cash in shillings and fewer places take card. Tips in USD were fine (tip well!!!) except for the guy who helped me across the border at Namanga asked for shillings, which I didn't have, so he took USD.

Amazing Safari with Super Eagle Travel & Tour
5/5

We are a group of 14 friends from Malaysia who had the privilege of visiting Kenya to witness the Great Migration, and our experience with Super Eagle Travel & Tour was simply unforgettable. From the very beginning, Bildad coordinated the entire trip and logistics with excellent communication, patience, and attention to detail. Everything—from planning routes to balancing time between activities—was well thought out and executed seamlessly.

We were thrilled to see 4 of the Big Five—lions, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinoceros. Although we missed the elusive leopard, we remain hopeful to spot one on our continuing adventure in Tanzania! In Masai Mara, we also witnessed countless wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River, an awe-inspiring scene we had only ever seen on television before.

Our driver-guides in Kenya, Anthony and Francis, deserve special credit. They not only kept us safe and punctual between destinations but also went the extra mile to help us spot wildlife others might have easily missed. They were incredibly knowledgeable about animals, birds, landscapes, and the Maasai culture, and they shared this with us in a way that made the journey so much more meaningful.

All of us captured these unforgettable moments with just our mobile phones—proving that with experienced guides like Anthony and Francis, you don’t need sophisticated cameras to get close, clear, and memorable wildlife sightings.

This was not just a safari—it was a journey filled with adventure, learning, culture, and joy. On behalf of our entire group, we extend our deepest appreciation to Super Eagle Travel & Tour, Bildad, and especially Anthony and Francis for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience of Kenya.

We highly recommend Super Eagle Travel & Tour to anyone wishing to discover the beauty of Africa. We came as visitors but left with hearts full of admiration and gratitude.
