Disenchanted Safari – Coordination Failures Overshadowed the Wild
My May safari felt like a series of broken promises from the start. While the wildlife encounters were passable — spotting the Big Five felt routine rather than thrilling — the operator's disorganization drained the magic. The real sting came from the SIM card debacle. Before I landed, both the contact and office staff insisted I skip getting a local SIM because no enough time to wait, promising the driver would handle it en route. But my driver was clueless: "No one told me." We stopped at a shop, only to learn passport-based SIMs require big city like Nairobi. Result? $70 in roaming fees over 7 days. Even when we passed Nairobi twice, drivers brushed me off: "Not enough time" or "Next stop" — a pattern repeated with a second driver.
Worse, the service disparity was glaring. Two white male passengers had their luggage carried without question, while my female travel partner and I hauled ours through mud. No help offered. The itinerary chaos compounded the stress. After dropping the men on Day 3, the driver didn’t inform the other woman about changes; she spent hours on calls, ruining her day. Then, he blindsided me: demanding I join a detour to another town during my planned rest afternoon at Lake Naivasha. I refused, demanded a new driver, and fought to reclaim my free time.
About tents, with insects, no Wi-Fi, suggest pay the extra $200 to upgrade to Sopa Lodge; it’s not luxury, it’s sanity.
In short, the beautiful scenery of Kenya cannot hide the incompetence of this operator. Poor communication, lack of services, and the absence of an accountability mechanism have made the originally dreamy trip less pleasant.

Very helpful, kind and everything was organised very well.
We booked 5 days Safari at Super Eagles travel and tours. It was our first expirience with this kind of vacation.
From beginning, the communication with Brian was excelent - responding 24/7 on all questions, he helped us also with accomodation before and after safari.
When we arrived, everybody was helpfull and kind.
Our guide for first 3 days was Kenedy. He took us everywhere he could, showed us the best places and told us very much information about the parks, the animals and about Kenya’s culture. Also he is very funny and we laughted a lot. He did his best for us - he communicated with others to find rare animals, so we can see them all. Thanks to him we saw the Big five!
The rest of our safari we was with Gilbert. He was also very kind, fun and helpful.
When you are not sure abou anything, guides will help you everytime. Accomodation during the safari was really good, also the food.
We would definitelly recommend this agency, we loved our experience!

Dan the man. Absolutely beautiful experience thanks to the ambition of him. Of course credit is due to the wonderful plains of Masai Mara, but Dan worked his hardest to make it possible to see the big five. We ended up getting lucky and seeing them along with hyenas thanks to Dan’s determination to find them ! He was extremely knowledgeable in knowing where the dens were, where certain lions regularly visited and we were rewarded accordingly. I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this and his work to anyone else considering. Worth every sent!
