Great variety of landscapes and animals
You never know what to expect when booking a tour but Tanzania didn’t disappoint. Bird life was amazing plus of course all the gazelles and antelope and the larger animals. We wont forget seeing so many elephants up close and the Leppard perched perfectly in a tree. Glad we came in December although meant to be wet season it wasn’t as the rain patterns seem to be changing. I won’t come in July and August as it sounds packed and to be honest already feeling a bit uncomfortable with the number of jeeps surrounding the big cats. There seems to be pressure on the tour guides to bag the big five rather than showing and talking about conservation of all the wildlife, but guess the guests are driving this. The accomodation and food (given we at re vegetarian) was great but particularly the Weaver Tents. The highlight was the Serengeti so would recommend two days there and glad we didn’t go to Lake Manyara. Central Serengeti was the most exhilarating. This is a great way as a tourist to show the value and interest in nature just hope the numbers are controlled going forward. Jackson’s team were great and helped us with last minute travel plans.
