We want to thank this tourism company for such a great experience. We traveled from Spain to learn a little about animal life and we met a spectacular guide who showed us absolutely everything we wanted to find and much more. Goodluck, you are excellent.

Amazing !!!❤️🔥
We had an unforgettable experience with our guide Dallas, who was both very professional and treated us like his sisters. We couldn’t have hoped for a better guide. His mastery of the job, deep knowledge, and excellent driving skills allowed us to see the Big Five and more. Thank you so much, Dallas — we will never forget this incredible experience.
We highly recommend Terrain Tanzania Safaris.
Wishing you all the best going forward!

Professional, and excellent organisation
I cannot speak highly enough of our guide Goodluck, everything from the first moment was perfectly organised. I dont know how he was able to drive, give information and spot animals at the same time. He is an experienced driver and always made sure we got the best spot when seeing animals. He was always on time, the jeep was always spotless clean and we had no issues during the tour. Goodluck is very knowledgeable of animals, especially birds, and we learnt a lot from him. We were a group of 13, and extremely happy with the way the tour went. Cannot recommend these guys enough.

Way worse than we expected
I am very disappointed with the service from this company, including the director and tour guides.
Upon our arrival at Kenya International Airport in the morning after a long and exhausting flight from Asia, we were shocked to find that no one was there to pick us up. We waited for hours, anxiously looking for any sign of our transportation. During this time, we attempted to contact George multiple times, but we received no response. It was incredibly frustrating to be left in such a situation, especially after such a long journey. Ultimately, we had no choice but to call a taxi and make our own way to the first hotel. George only reached out to us after we had arrived at the hotel, explaining that his Kenyan partner had made a mistake and forgotten to send someone to pick us up. This lack of communication and organization was unacceptable.
On the following day in Kenya, we encountered further issues. The tour guide did not take us to the destination specified in our itinerary. Instead, we were pressured into participating in walking tours that required us to pay out of pocket, despite our initial refusals. The tour guide insisted that we must join at least one paid program, leaving us feeling coerced and dissatisfied with the experience we had originally signed up for.
Additionally, the lodges where we were accommodated were clearly of a much lower standard than what was promised in our itinerary. The company claimed that the accommodations listed were overbooked, yet they failed to provide us with equivalent options that matched the quality we had expected. The food served at these lodges was unsanitary, and we were suffering from diarrhea, which significantly impacted our trip.
Throughout our experience, there was a constant push to make us pay for additional services that were not part of our original package. Unplanned souvenir shopping stops were added without prior notice, which felt more like a sales tactic than a genuine part of our tour. This relentless focus on upselling not only detracted from our enjoyment but also made us feel undervalued as customers.
Overall, this trip has been far from the enjoyable experience we anticipated. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously to improve the service for future travelers.

Vehicle Safety Concerns and George (Owner) Showed No Accountability
We had a deeply distressing experience during our safari with Terrain Tanzania Safaris, owned by George. What was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip turned into a situation where we felt genuinely unsafe — and unsupported when it mattered most.
In Kenya, we were provided with a vehicle that, in our experience, raised serious safety concerns, including:
- Seatbelts that did not function
- Exposed, rusted metal that injured my mother’s leg
- A passenger door that swung open twice while driving on the road
We were alarmed and immediately requested a replacement to George. We were told by him that it would be arranged — but then received no updates or communication for over 24 hours. During that time, we felt anxious, helpless, and abandoned. Our current driver on that day also felt confused since he didn't get a confirmation from George wheather he should go back home or continue on the next day. We insisted him to stay that night, because otherwise we could have a risk of no guide or a vehicle the next day, which turned out to be true since George made no replacement arrangements.
On the next day 1:30PM, we were informed by George that the replacement vehicle would not be provided due to additional park entrance costs. To us, this felt like our safety had been deprioritized in favor of saving money — a decision that left us both disappointed and frustrated. Furthermore, this complete lack of communication caused us immense trauma and unbearable stress.
We understand that no trip is perfect and safari conditions can be challenging. However, we believe that basic safety and responsive support should never be compromised.
This experience left us shaken and disheartened. In our personal opinion, travelers booking with this company should be aware of what we encountered, and consider whether they are comfortable with the level of risk and response we faced.

An unforgettable Tanzania Safari! The guide Goodluck is unparalleled and Casey's service is amazing!
I have returned from Tanzania and I have to give a shout out to this awesome travel agency! We had a seven-day, six-night Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro in June and it was awesome!
First of all, I want to give a shout out to our guide, Goodluck! As his name suggests, he really brought us a lot of good luck! Goodluck is super polite and experienced, he is like a walking encyclopedia! Along the way, he did his best to meet all our needs and took us to find any animals we wanted to see. Occasionally, if we encountered some minor problems on the road, he could solve them quickly.
We still had a lot of fun on this Safari, including leopards, cheetahs, lions, various antelopes, super imposing elephants, giraffes, and very spectacular wildebeests! The food and accommodation were also very good, and the conditions were much better than we expected!
Overall, this travel agency is still very responsible. We didn't have the situation we were afraid of, where their attitude changed drastically after receiving the money. The service was very good from beginning to end. Especially their employee Casey, who is really dedicated and responsible. We sent her messages to ask any questions before and during the trip, no matter how big or small, and she would patiently answer them. If the boss sees this, I sincerely suggest giving Casey a raise hahaha!
In short, we were very happy and satisfied with this trip. Goodluck's professionalism and enthusiasm, plus Casey's thoughtful and considerate support in the back, and the company's overall reliability and responsibility, made this Safari a perfect adventure! Highly recommended to friends who want to go to Tanzania to see animals, choose Goodluck as a guide, you will not be disappointed!

A Road never traveled twice
Our Travels with Terrain Tanzania Safaris.
Our 14 days in Africia was sensational and went seamlessly. From the welcoming pickup from the airport to our beautiful hotel. Well after long flight, we landed in Nairobi, Africia and a Terrain Tanzania Safari driver (Oscar 2) picked us up and we travel into the city to our hotel (Boma Hotel) for a relaxing day as we landed early morning. I will discuss the hotel near the end. Next morning our Terrain Tanzania Safari driver (Joy) came early morning. Fascinating road trip out of the city into the country. The first stop was a little tourist place which as first time there we paid a high prices. After this we learned hard to barter and stick to lower pricing.
Moving along across the country to Lake Naivasha we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Dove Nest Lodge, we were greeted with smiles and open arms. We got to our room and then ate lunch. Of a particular note, the food at Dove Nest Lodge was impeccable, fresh and dinner was the same that night. We are sure Joy was having a short nap before taking us to the lake for a boat tour for a few hours on Lake Naivasha. The captain was great and knew his stuff. Things got a little wet as the skies opened on us and the captain had umbrellas and found a spot out of the wind with the boat. We were asked many times if we wanted to head in but, being so excited to be there, we said no as it was not cold. Back to the lodge for a relaxing evening and dinner. The wheels are moving as we are off to Maasai Mara (Kenya) for two days. Joy followed Cheetahs and we got to see a kill. The AA Lodge Mara was very nice and packed lunches and dinners were great.
Then our journey along bumpy, dusty roads we travel across Kenya, to Tanzania border. This is where we met Oscar 1 who will be our Terrain Tanzania Safari guide. Oscar 1 was so friendly and open about discussing his experiences.
The most important thing for us to tell you is we had a fabulous time with Oscar 1 exploring Lake Victoria on a boat, with a nice sleep at the Serenity at the Lake and dinner, then the big one, two days in Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. We were told that Serengeti National Park is bigger than Alberta, Canada. Full of excitement we were off to the Fishing Village and little boat tour. Watching then sell fish was crazy. One woman wanted me for husband. I am sure she would make a good wife as she bought the biggest fish there. Then it was back to the camp, and we saw a loin kill feasting about three miles away from our camp. Funny after seeing loins feasting on a water buffalo 3 miles away, they insisted on escort to tents after darkness and told us to made sure zipper is shut so animals don’t crawl in with you. I slept well as I knew the loins were fed and I am sure that zipper is going to hold them out.
After two days there and many photos we took off to the Ngorongoro Cater where it is amazing to see this mass volcano heart that once was active. Now it is huge grazing, and these animals do not join migration as everything is here for them. There is so much more to share but I would need a few more pages. The hotel Boma Inn BB was comfortable for us and the food outstanding. At the end of the trip we had three nights’ stay to just relax and visit a firehall to give some stuff from fire fighters here my children. The GM of the hotel kept us in an eye for service as a very busy place. The head chef always came out and offered us soup or salad for the buffet. No charge and even opened early to feed us before we went on our last safari in Nairobi.
What made the entire journey so easily enjoyable were the daily itineraries and guides and the overall organization and attention to detail. George the owner of Terrain Tanzania Safaris and his team kept us on budget, fed us well and were fun. If you ever need someone to trust it is George and his team. Thank you George and team.

The safari of a lifetime
We just came back from a spectacular 12-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania. I traveled in a group of 5 people, 3 of whom are serious photographers (not me). Our loop started and ended in Nairobi, and visited 8 national parks: Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Arusha, and Amboseli. George Killas took care of every detail and customized the itinerary for us. The accommodations were all great — especially our two camps inside Serengeti which were peak charm and luxury. George was very flexible, accommodating, and quick to respond to all my last-minute requests. Our excellent tour guides, MacDonald, Anthony, and Joel were the best. They were pivotal to our prolific game-spotting and fun times. Also, major shoutout to Terrain’s own private chef Dube, who cooked the most amazing meals.
We came out of this trip with our hearts and SD cards so full, with enough memories and photos to enjoy for a lifetime. We got to see every animal we wanted to see, and more. We saw the big 9 megafauna (including the elusive white and black rhinos and leopard) many times over, and all kinds of smaller mammals, birds, and reptiles. My list of animals spotted is over 90 species long! Most notably, we got to enjoy animals in different social situations: a trio of baby elephants wrestling each other, a sisterhood of mother lions rounding up their 10 cubs, a pair of childless brother lions roaming the plain with their harems, a pair of hyenas scouting out our tentgrounds at night with a side of playtime, a mother cheetah successfully chasing and catching a gazelle while her precocious 5 cubs reunite with her for the feast.
I highly recommend booking your safaris with George!
