Amazing private tour
5/5

Issa was our guide, it was a private tour for two people for two days, he picked us up at the hotel and then drove a couple of hours to the place where we stayed. The camp is just like in the photos, very comfortable and the food is delicious, and the hotel staff is always attentive to help us. In the afternoon we were at the Rufiji River where we saw birds, crocodiles and hippos. The next morning we spent the whole day in Selous National Park, our guide was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge about the animals. He was always looking out for us, and he was patient when we wanted to stay longer somewhere to appreciate the animals, it was a spectacular experience! I highly recommend Kima!

Right from the start, very clear communication and flexibility. Nazareth was our guide and was a funny, warm and trustworthy companion over our short time together. He went out of his way to provide us a unique experience.

The accommodations at Nyerere Tented Camp were unreal, a really unique experience.

Steve and Eric gave us the most an amazing experience. So knowledgeable and they went out of their way to ensure me had the best experience and saw all the wildlife and animals.
Worth every penny and more and would highly recommend this company, full of knowledge and all the laughs.

Steven and Eric are brilliant. Highly skilled drivers and very knowledgeable wildlife experts.

They made our safari trip very enjoyable, and made a great effort to give us the best possible experience.

It was seamless and very well organised.

Really great value for money too.

I'll definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Poor alignment on expecations.
3/5

We booked 1 day safari with Steven. However, our experience fell short with the expectations that were created by Kima Safari. Much to our surprise, the trip from DAR to Mikumi starts with the safari car so that means limited airflow due to no AC throughout the trip. This was rather difficult to endure during our 7 hour drive back in 40 degree heat. Moreover, we were promised a breakfast at the arrival which in the end was not offered. On our way back, the car broke down which caused a 2 hour delay in our trip back. We also wanted to pay in 2 parts and we were overcharged with the second payment.

Once we explained the situation to Steven, he told us that the 'driver forgot the breakfast' and that overcharge was 'his mistake'. Initially we were promised a minor refund for this but now we have been waiting for a response for a week and have not yet heard from Steven. On a positive note, we were able to see most of the animals which was definitely a memorable experience.

I believe better alignment on expectations from Kima Safari's side would have made the day trip more enjoyable and I recommend going over the itinerary with the driver prior to the trip in order to avoid any misunderstandings.

Cheapest best Safari going
5/5

This is a great company to work with. At the last minute my step daughter and I decided to go on a safari. Steven at Kima got back to me immediately and efficiently and we got the trip booked. No matter the time Steven replied. The driver Nazareth got back to us and helped get rid of any fears that he would be at the hotel at 3:00am. He was professional made sure we saw everything we could and even repaired the small problem with the car. We enjoyed every minute of it and grateful it was a cost within our tight budget.
