Highly recommend - a great safari experiance
If you're looking for a private safari, mid budget, for two people I would highly recommend Gemfinders Tours and Travel. Our game guide and driver Lawrence was excellent. He knew exactly where to drive to find all the animals. We managed to really explore all the national parks we visited - Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. I really appreciated that our driver Lawrence was not so much "in your face" - attentive but not overbearing.
We stayed in three places:
Flair Camp Experiences - a basic camp, the tent was very clean, beds comfortable, tasty food with a lot of variety, some trouble with hot water, so have some wet wipes with you, wifi in the common area;
Buraha Zenoni Hotel & Resort - a western style hotel, with pool and wifi in the rooms;
Little Amanya Camp - again a basic camp with amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro, clean tent with comfy beds and a sofa, the bathroom is open roof, so you can shower under the stars, the food is basic but tasty, wi-fi in a common area, but it reached our tent.
All in all, the safari and accommodation was great.
Two issues - first with the Masai village. I had a feeling it would be uncomfortable and we would be pressured into buying things and unfortunately it was exactly that. So if you don't want to be guilt tripped into buying some arts and crafts, then perhaps skip the village altogether. Second thing, the places that our driver recommended for souvenirs were seriously overpriced. One thing I bought, after haggling, was half the price at the airport shop, which is usually the most expensive. So that shows you how overpriced those shops along the way are. So wait to get to Nairobi, many things are cheaper there, even at the airport.

Patient, friendly, organised, effective
Highly recommended! Lawrence was a thoughtful, friendly, and patient guide, taking note of my interests and going out of his way to meet my needs. I got to see everything I was hoping for - with enough time at each stop and while learning plenty along the way.
Tracy, who arranged the trip, was extremely helpful and responsive, too. The whole process was seamless, conducted over WhatsApp for maximum efficiency.

Highly focused on delivering the best client experience
Gemfinders one-day safari from Nairobi is a great option for anyone looking for a short but impressive tour of Amboseli. This tour was a great value and Gemfinders provided an excellent experience with tailored routing and a dedicated visit to the lodge for lunch. Amazing!
When planning my safari I contacted three different tour operators. From the outset, the service offered by Venessa at Gemfinders really stood out both in the quality of the quotation and the responsiveness to my questions. Venessa was always friendly and patient in tweaking the itinerary until I was completely happy with it.
The safari itself exceeded all expectations. The accommodation used was just perfect and our guide Dennis was friendly and knowledgeable. In four days we visited Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East, and it was worth visiting all three of them as the landscapes are very different in each one. Amongst many incredible wildlife encounters, seeing an elephant pass close to our balcony at Man Eaters Lodge was an absolute highlight. Thank you Venessa and Gemfinders!

Exceptional visit to Nairobi Natl Park and Karen Blitzen Museum
Our guide, Lawrence, went over and beyond to make certain we saw and experienced the things that were most important to us. He delivered! He is very knowledgeable, answered all our questions(animals, culture, family, etc), and even extended our tour so we didn’t miss anything. Five+ stars for Lawerence!

It was so easy to communicate and plan our safari exactly how we wanted.
There was nothing we could fault from start to finish. The communication throughout the booking process was very easy with quick responses. We were going back and forth quite a bit to ensure the package worked for us but at no point did anyone make us feel like we were too much hard work. Everyone involved was great from transfer drivers to our safari guide. Definitely worth paying the price for as it definitely was to a high standard. The tour itself was beyond brilliant. Our tour guide Sammie was such a pleasure to be around. He had so much knowledge about everything and found so many animals for us to see. He was always on time and ready to start the day and gave us the best time we could have asked for. He knew his way around the park and always made us feel comfortable. Would definitely 100% recommend and would use ourselves if we planned this trip again!

Timely and Value for money
My safari with Gemfinders Safaris to Samburu and Meru National Parks was an unforgettable adventure. Samburu impressed me with its stunning dry landscapes and rare wildlife like the reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra, while Meru offered a peaceful, green escape full of animals and history. The contrast between the two parks made the journey diverse and exciting.
Gemfinders Safaris made everything seamless — from well-planned itineraries to knowledgeable guides who knew where to find the best sightings. I traveled to Masai Mara with Gemfinders Safaris, and they were incredible, delivering everything as promised. Our guide, Kim, was outstanding. While we didn't spot all of the Big Five, that's completely understandable. I highly recommend Gemfinders Safaris.
