Awesome, nothing too much trouble
We had the most fantastic time from start to finish an experience I will never forget ‘out of this world’ Our guides Lawrence and William were very knowledgeable of the wildlife and would do there utmost to spot the biggest to the smallest animals/birds!! They were also friendly and joyful to be around and we had some good laughs along the way. Our accommodation was great , clean and comfortable and plenty of different food types to choose from. If I were fortunate to be able to go on Safari again Gem Finders would be my choice to book with , Thank you for such an amazing experience 🙏🙏

Gemfinders provided us with exactly what we requested for our recent Kenyan Safari
'Everything is Amazing'
This was the saying I used when Lawrence our guide asked me what we were hoping to see.
With Africa every day is different, there will always be something to see.
We had 2 guides/drivers - Lawrence and William - great fun and sense of humour, reliable, resourceful - had puncture, it was great going to local garage and watching the tyre be fixed. We assisted another vehicle with guide and family of 5 when it was stuck in dry river sandbed, a leopard was about and getting dusky! There was always something happening spotting lions, cheetahs, hyenas, mongoose, vultures!
Cibril my main contact before and during our safari was brilliant 👏, thank you Cibril for great communication, organisation and flexibility.
Our safari included many reserves which involved travelling long disrances, watching daily life in kenya though is fascinating.
Fantastic value for money, including guides, drivers, travel, park entrance fees, accomodation, 3 meals a day some of which maybe pack up but you won't go hungry!
My husband is really into birds and Lawrence and William went out of their way to find lots of different species. The big 5 is always a joy to observe plus the ugly 5!!

Africa doesn't disappoint and neither does GemFinders
The online search (mostly using safaribookings.com) for a tour company to take my wife, sisters and I on a safari of a lifetime to Kenya soon identified GemFinders as a strong contender with interesting and varied itineraries to pick from at reasonable prices. Initial contact revealed that Brian and Sybril were eager to help us tailor one of their brochure safaris to accommodate our particular needs. Some concern was raised by our bank when we tried to set up payment for the deposit, but we placed our trust in the team and were not disappointed. We were met at Nairobi airport and were quickly recognised by our driver/guide Lawrence from my wife's online profile picture. Next day (very early) we were introduced to our 2nd guide, William, who was joining us for the entire 10 day trip. Between them, we learned lots about Kenyan history, culture and wildlife - we even picked up a little Swahili! Over the next few days we covered vast distances allowing us to sample Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha etc before ending up in Tsavo East! The roads in Kenya are long, some are better paved than others and Kenyan traffic etiquette is something to behold! - both William and Lawrence took turns to negotiate the many miles with competence and care! In the parks and reserves, both complemented each others extensive knowledge of the birds, animals and plants encountered. Any minor issues arising during our stays at multiple hotels and lodges, were dealt with efficiently and did not affect our overall enjoyment. Altogether this has been a great experience which we will treasure for years - maybe repeating it in the not too distant future?

Our safari was a fantastic experience, defined by seamless organization and an expert guide.
The Booking Experience
The planning process was smooth and stress-free. Vanessa was easy to communicate with, provided fast responses, and gave us a very clear quote.
Patient & Non-Pushy: They invested a lot of time into meeting our specific requests without being pushy.
Problem Solving: When we had some minor trouble with our room, they provided instant feedback and resolved the issue quickly.
The Safari Guide
Our guide Lawrence was exceptional, balancing professional skill with a deep respect for nature.
Expertise: Lawrence is a safe driver with a great vehicle. He had good knowledge about the wildlife and was eager to share his expertese with the whole group. We were able to experience the Big Five, but also a lot of other animals, all of which are interesting, from small birds, antilopes, giraffes, etc etc. He was able to explain the behaviors and the scenes playing out with the wildlife and other insights to what we were experiencing.
Responsive: Communication was easy, and the guide was highly attentive to our wishes throughout the tour. We have been to other safaris in the past and Lawrence really stands out in his personality and ability to communicate.
Ethical: Lawrence showed great respect for the animals, ensuring we observed them without causing disturbance.
Problem solving: During a trip like this things happen, both with us and others we meet. Lawrence showed excellent ability to adapt to the situations we met. At one time another car got stuck in the mud, Lawrence was quick to join the effort to help them out, which we appreciated, next time it could be us. This approach seem to give him a good network of other operators and staff, seems to know everyone we met along the trip.
We are very happy with the experience and the adventures, they will stay with us for our whole lives. We warmly recommend Gemfinders to anyone wanting a great experience and a solid booking and guiding experience.

The tour operators were the absolute best!!
From the planning stages to the trip, everything was just spot on. Tracy, who helped me with planning was always available to answer any and all question. I planned a trip of 18 people and as you can imagine, how many changes can come up with dealing with that high number of people. Tracy was always on point every single step. The 3 tour operators were amazing as well. Got there on time, and were very accommodating to our requests.

We had a fantastic safari experience in Amboseli, thanks to our amazing driver, Lawrence (Kenya Guid).
He drove safely and professionally from start to finish, and communication with him was easy and smooth. Lawrence is extremely kind, highly knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, and truly knows how to find the animals we were always the first to spot them, with other vehicles following our lead.

Amazing Family Safari with Gemfinders Tours and Travel
We had a fantastic tailor-made safari experience with Gemfinders Tours and Travel and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
We are a family of four with two children, and the trip was perfectly planned for us. Our journey started in Nairobi, continued through Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks (with two nights in the parks), and ended at the beautiful Diani Beach. The mix of adventure and relaxation was spot on.
The wildlife sightings were incredible. Thanks to our amazing guides, we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, and so many other animals — basically all the Lion King characters, which was a huge highlight for our kids.
A big thank you to our guides Lowrance and Eric. They were professional, friendly, and great with children. Their knowledge of the parks and ability to spot animals made every game drive exciting and memorable.
Everything was well organized — comfortable vehicles, smooth transfers, and carefully chosen accommodations. What we appreciated most was the personal approach. This was not a standard tour, but a flexible, thoughtfully designed trip that truly felt made just for us.
Finishing the safari at Diani Beach was the perfect way to relax after the adventure.
We highly recommend Gemfinders Tours and Travel to anyone looking for a reliable company and a customized safari experience, especially families. We came back with amazing memories and would gladly travel with them again!
