An Absolutely Outstanding Experience with Gemfinders
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Gemfinders, from the very first conversations to the end of our trip. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Our journey started around six months before departure, when Mildred began helping us plan and tailor our trip to Kenya. We had lots of questions, wishes and specific ideas about what we wanted to experience as a family, and throughout the entire planning process, Mildred was incredibly patient, helpful, responsive and attentive. She really listened to what mattered to us and helped turn all our ideas into a trip that exceeded our expectations.
And when the trip finally began, everything came together beautifully. The safari was simply unforgettable. We experienced incredible wildlife, breathtaking landscapes and moments we will remember for the rest of our lives. Seeing the Big Five up close in the Masai Mara, walking among giraffes and zebras at Crescent Island, experiencing the magnificent elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, and continuing our adventure in Tsavo were all extraordinary experiences.
A special mention goes to our guides, Samson and Stephen, who were absolutely outstanding. They were knowledgeable, professional, kind and genuinely attentive to our whole group. Their dedication, flexibility and ability to adapt to our needs made a huge difference to our experience. They always went the extra mile, made us feel safe and welcome, and knew how to balance getting the most out of every game drive with making sure everyone, including the children, was comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for better guides, and they played a huge part in making our safari so memorable.
The accommodation, transfers and organisation throughout the trip all worked really well, and the transition from our safari adventure to relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Diani was completely seamless. We never had to worry about what was happening next, where we needed to be or how anything would work. We could simply be present, enjoy every moment and focus on making memories together as a family.
That is perhaps what impressed us most about Gemfinders: the feeling that everything was taken care of, while still making the entire experience feel personal. From the first planning discussions with Mildred to the actual journey on the ground, we felt supported every step of the way.
A huge thank you to Mildred, Samson, Stephen and the entire Gemfinders team for giving our family such an incredible adventure. This was so much more than a holiday. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with unforgettable moments, wonderful people and memories we will cherish forever.
We would recommend Gemfinders without hesitation to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. If you want a personalised trip, excellent guides and the peace of mind of knowing that everything is taken care of, look no further. We would happily choose them again!

Faultless service
From my first enquiry that was responded to almost immediately to me asking stupid questions I should have known the answer to, Gemfinders have been friendly, professional and accommodating. The driver was punctual and very responsive to our interests and requests. The hotel we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. Communication between Gemfinders and myself was refreshingly prompt and helpful. Really I can’t fault them in any way and would recommend to anyone.

Amazing experience with amazing people
As the first time in Kenya , I think I was so blessed to find such great people to spend time with and enjoying stunning places and wilfldlife of this beautiful country.
First of all I want to thanks Tracy for giving us the best options for the trip.
About the Safari, I had the best guides I could find. As an amateur wildlife photographer and nature lover, I was really excited to learn a lot from Lawrence about wildlife of Kenya , and his fun spirit and kindness added a lot of spice to my trip. His passion for his job is true and amazing , we spent hours talking about birds , and thanks to his keen eyes I could take amazing pictures of the big 5 !! Plus many other beautiful creatures.
Another big thanks goes to Micheal. Was really a pleasure spending time with you and your kindness , funny jokes and your great swahili / kikujo lessons . I never felt bored during the trip , thanks to you.
With Lawrence , you make the perfect wildlife brother, joking all the time, and helping me enjoying the travel and spotting wildlife.

We had an absolutely unforgettable safari experience! Tracy did an amazing job organizing everything and was always available, making sure the itinerary was fully customized to our wishes. Everything was perfectly planned, while still feeling personal and flexible.
The safari itself was truly unique, incredible accommodations, breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable wildlife encounters, and so many special memories that we will cherish forever.
A very special mention to Annest, our guide and driver, who was simply the best! He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional, always making sure we were comfortable and had the best possible views and wildlife sightings. Amazing coordinators and safari experts
We chose Gemfinders for a rather complex safari that involved Kenya and Tanzania and not only were they able to arrange everything for us, they were courteous, professional and always available to help when the need arose. Our safari specialist, Mildred, literally spent a year helping us coordinate and fine tune the details of our trip. She also went above and beyond during our safari, always checking in to make sure we were being taken cared of well and that all of our plans were moving along well. Our guides, Lawrence and Eric were phenomenal too! Their knowledge and enthusiasm for safari was unmatched and made our experience so much more unforgettable. They always made sure we got the best views, took incredible care of us on the looong safari days and kept us laughing the entire time. Honestly, Lawrence and Eric are two of our favorite people in the world and we’ll definitely be looking for them for our next Kenyan safari! Professionals and kindness
Our experience was wonderful. The tour was very well prepared and the attention and information were good. Cibril and Mildred worked very much and had patience to prepare an amazing tour to our family. Thank you. Our guide, Lawrence, is a wonderful guide and person. He has done that our stay during the tour was comfortable and his knowledge and explanations about the animals were extraordinary and very imteresting. Best experience
Lawrence is the best safari guide ever. He is devoted to make his guests have the best experience and make them happy. He has the desire to make every safari better than the last one (he got it). Funny, well-knowledged, kind, adorable and a lovely person. He made me feel confortable with him around.
His love for animals, environment and his culture has no limits (as his knowledge).
Definetly no animal can escape his binocular eyesight (he sees everything!!).
I was so blessed to have him, not just as the tour guide, also as a friend. 10/10 Thank you!

Perfect service and safari 👌🏼
When I started planning my first safari, I was overwhelmed with the options. I ended up checking gemfinders amongst others and they immediately stood out: very quick responders, very thoughtful and helpful. I had so many questions, needed a lot of advice in planning a proper safari adapted to my preferences and Mildred dealt with everything with a lot of patience, kindness and great advice.
We ended up creating a personalised plan and when the date approached they contacted me several times to remind me of the dates, the things I had to bring, time and place of meet up, etc. This, amongst the quick responses I always got, made me realise how reliable the company was.
The funny part is that the safari was WAY better than expected! The guide, Lawrence, was simply AMAZING. I am a big animal lover and read a lot about animals so had a lot of questions and needed a lot of information: he answered everything and knew a lot about each animal. He was very friendly and extremely punctual and reliable. He is a great driver too. He was making sure to adapt to our needs and provide the great safari we did. Honestly, it was perfect.
Also, the accommodation combined cultural experiences with resorts and amazing views.
I will recommend Lawrence and Gemfinders to anyone who wants to do a safari here. I am very pleased, lucky and how Lawrence says: blessed. We saw the big 5, the 9 strong, the 5 ugly ones and way more animals than I had imagined. Simply incredible. Lawrence promised the best safari and it was. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE.

Informative
We had a great day with planned excursions of Nairobi NP, Elephant sanctuary and Giraffe Centre. Our tour guide was prompt, friendly, informative and constantly checked in that we were ok. He got us to see wildlife in a great way in the NP.
