Excellent communication, organisation, advice and value for a bespoke 17-day safari / gorillas trip
Myself and my female friend, two professional women in our mid 30s, have booked a personalised 17-day safari trip for August this year.
We were both really impressed by the personal advice and service that Mr. Otieno gave us whilst we planned outer trip. He came up with a fantastic personalised itinerary that included all the things we wanted to do and see in the 17-days we have available - including all the best safari sites in Tanzania and Kenya, a visit to the gorillas in Uganda, and arrival and departure using the most convenient airports for us. He also advised us on the type of accommodation we might want, according to our personal preferences.
Mr Otieno was constantly available by Skype and by email to answer all my many questions! He showed excellent and patient communication and always responded immediately. He also gave us a fantastic price which met our budget requirements but still allows us to do all we had hoped for and more. He provided immediate receipts for the deposit transferred in advance.
We are very happy with the booking and organisational service that he has provided, and his communication and humour through the quite nerve-wracking decision-making process!
We can't wait to set out in August!
Great safari and fully delivering what they promise
Very prompt response, punctual pick-up at the hotel and drop-off at the airport, pleasant staff (and doing their best to make sure you get to see all of the animals!)
All in all, very much recommended :)
A practical tip - make sure you have all the amount with you in USD cash. The exchange rates for the local currency was really bad at Maasai Mara, Kenya.

Booking my safari
So far I have only gone through the booking process with mr. OT from Kenya waking survivors safari and I could not be happier. Mr. OT has helped me tailor my trip around my budget with compromising on what I want to see and visit on safari. After contacting so many other tour operators over the past few months who keep putting forward obstacles, Mr. OT instead tries to find solutions and I booked a solo trip with my own private driver and guide for 23 days within 6 hours of my original contact. Every email was replied too with such speed. Thank you OT. I shall write a follow up review after my trip

Voyage of two naturalists in Africa
We paid for a small groups safari (15 days Kenya-Uganda-Tanzania), but they gave us the chance to be just the two of us, and planned the trip to help satisfy our needs (we wanted to see a lot of animals! And we did!). we made two major changes in the program. Very easy to keep in touch before the trip. Accommodation mainly good (especially the masai mara tented camp (wonderful food), and the campings in tanzania (wonderful places, good cooking, night wildlife encounters!). Just one disappointing night in Boungoma (disco night very loud!!). We didn't expect the trip to Uganda to be so long! But the experience with gorillas was amazing! Some problems in payment from Italy through Western Unions… the guides have been always present and kind and helped us through border customs. Overall, very good job!

Excellent service with nice drivers
Everything is excellent with service and communications, all the people in that company are very nice. They always do all the stuff according to my time table. For the living, the camp is so good when we were in some park. Highly recommand to book with kenya Walking Survivors Safaris Ltd.

Great experience
We have just arrived home from a great trip to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. What an experience! We saw all big fives and even more! Mr. Ot (the head of the company) organized a very good trip for us. He made a few changes in our itinerary, but all of them were done for us to get more pleasant journey. Everything went smooth. Lots of drivers, cooks, different cars were involved. I thought it should be lots of headaches to organize such trip by ourselves. Highly recommended company! Mr Ot was available 24/7 to answer our questions and concerns. Very reliable company! Amazing adventures in East Africa
I and my wife went on a safari for 20 days in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania with KWSS this summer.
We were very satisfied from the beginning. The director, Mr. Otieno was very quick and effective in communication-he immedately replied to our e-mails and was available on Skype to-so we could discuss and plan our itinerary together in person which made everything easy and quick and helped us trust him.
We were not disappointed either once in Africa: he has a very friendly,patient, punctual and helpful staff who did their best to make our safari the most memorable. The driver-guides know a lot about the wildlife and do everything to get you to the best spots to view the animals and the cooks are excellent too! We were also absolutely satisfied with the accommodation Oti provided us- we could experience everything from superb lodges to camping out in Serengeti. Even though we were supposed to stay only in tented camps, Oti managed to upgrade most of our accommodations for no extra charges!
All in all I can only fully reccommend Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris, because apart from minor changes everything went smoothly as written in the itinerary. We had a wonderful safari with KWSS.
Excellent lifetime tour!!!
My Husband and I visited Kenya Early October last year. We were having both Kenya and Tanzania tour. At first we were hesitant on whether to use Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris for our trip or not. Honestly we experienced more than we expected. Then owner OT Was ever answering our queries instantly. The driver Masha was the best.Accomodations were excellent and food coked by our own private cook Jacob .This was unbelievable! We are planning to visit East Africa Again in future to do gorilla and definitely we will use KWSS.I would recommend KWSS to everyone wishing to visit East Africa. Again thank you KWSS for making our dreams come true!!
