We took a 4-day tour with Vision Safari & Tour, departing and returning to Zanzibar. The trip was carefully and meticulously organized, from hotel pickup in Zanzibar to our return. The tour, as requested, included sleeping in the same place and taking a different safari each day, about an hour or two's drive from the base. We stayed in a lodge, enjoying its simplicity and pace, sharing the outdoor spaces with rabbits, goats, and small, discreet monkeys. The agency provided constant support and assistance. As soon as we arrived from Zanzibar, we went to Lake Manyara, where we saw, in excellent company, many elephants, giraffes, zebras, and, from afar, two sleeping lionesses. The following day, we went to Tarangire National Park. We also saw many animals, but it was very crowded, which made the tour less enjoyable. However, the place is truly unique, and the landscapes around the river are so impressive that we were satisfied nonetheless. On the third day, we visited the Ngorongoro Crater, whose magnificence and boundless spaces left us breathless. Here, you can breathe in the freedom; you can see the animals from afar, except for the zebras, but perhaps that's precisely the beauty: seeing herds of buffalo, zebras, and gazelles move across these infinite spaces. We also saw a hyena hunting, warthogs, wildebeest, antelopes, and birds perching above the hippos and a serval. The company was excellent, and we had a great time. On the last day, we had a truly unique and profound experience, choosing to visit the Lake Eyasi area, departing at 5 a.m. We had the opportunity to meet and partially participate in the daily lives of two ancient and authentic tribes: the Hadzabe and the Datoga: the former dedicated to hunting with bows and arrows, the latter to working with recycled metals, accompanied by a guide who translated their particular language. We would like to thank, in addition to Gudilah and her staff who followed us step by step with patience and dedication, our guides: the very friendly Ephelress, Nestor, with his sharp eyesight and truly very competent and the young Rama, patient, kind and attentive.
