I’m so glad I chose Ways of Africa for my Kenya safari!
First of all, a big thank you to Paul, the owner of the company. I started planning my trip in May and contacted nearly 20 local safari operators in Kenya. Ways of Africa was the only one that could accommodate all of my hotel choices. I specifically wanted some of the more popular lodges, and almost every other operator told me they were fully booked and couldn’t be arranged.
I have to admit that I was a little concerned after booking, as Paul could sometimes be slow on reply, which made me anxious in the weeks leading up to the trip. This is probably the only thing I think they could improve on. But once the trip actually started, everything turned out to be so smooth and perfect. All the hotels I requested were arranged exactly as planned, and the whole itinerary went perfectly according to schedule.
And a huge thank you to our guide, Paul! He was very experienced, incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife, and such a warm and friendly person. This was my first time bringing my parents to Africa, so I’m especially grateful that we had such a great guide. He helped us see almost everything on our safari wish list!
Every morning, he was already waiting by the vehicle before we came out, and he kept the vehicle very clean throughout the trip. He was always happy to explain things along the way, answered all of our questions, and shared so much interesting knowledge about the animals and the places we visited. He also knew many beautiful spots for taking photos, which was a great bonus!
Our Kenya trip was truly wonderful and memorable. I would definitely recommend Ways of Africa and our guide Paul to my friends.

Incredible Safari Experience with Exceptional Guide
My husband, son, and I found the safari tour to be an amazing experience from start to finish! Paul, our driver and guide, was truly outstanding. He knew so much about all the incredible animals in the park and shared his knowledge with us in such an interesting and engaging manner.
What really stood out was how much genuine care and respect he showed—not only to us, but also to other tourists and fellow guides.
Some of the highlights included seeing leopards, cheetahs, hippos, and so many other amazing animals. We even had the incredible thrill of witnessing a successful lion hunt—an unforgettable experience and a true glimpse into the wonder of the natural world.
Excellent value for money and great communication before and throughout the trip. I would highly recommend Paul and this safari experience to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

Great guides
The process of booking was quite stressful as, when I asked for the vouchers for the ETA, I realised that the accommodation had not been booked for the correct dates. Early confirmation of accommodation would probably have avoided this and the issue was rectified but it led to some uncertainty prior to travelling. Once in Kenya, all was very smoothly organised and the two guides we had were excellent and the game drives were amazing. All accommodation was excellent.

The Operator is professional and efficient.
the trip in Kenya, especially game drive in Masaai Mara is so amazing. We has accomplished our goals, checking all Big 5, watching Great Migration, especially the wildebeests crossing the river part. Thanks to our Guide, Paul. With his experience, patient, competitive, he is able to find very good spots in seeing All Big 5 and watching Great Migration.
So, we all have fantastic and unforgetable trips.
Bucket List Experience with an Incredible Guide!
We had the most incredible 3-day game drive in Masai Mara. Spotting all the Big 5 was amazing, but watching the wildebeest river crossing from the perfect viewing spot was pure magic. A huge shoutout to our guide, Paul—he was absolutely fantastic and made this whole experience so special. Couldn't have asked for a better guide!

Everything we had hoped for in a Kenya photography safari
Paul (Ways of Africa) put together the exact itinerary that our group was looking for at a very reasonable price. I appreciated his ability to account for our goals and come up with a plan that met them.
Between the initial booking and the actual trip there wasn't much communication and I would have appreciated a little more proactivity. That said, everything was arranged and taken care of, so not much communication was actually needed. Paul did have a zoom call with us a couple of weeks before our arrival which gave us a chance to ask questions.
The trip itself was perfect. We were met at the airport, driven to our first night hotel in Nairobi, and met our guide the next morning. We had requested experienced guides for tracking wildlife and creating opportunities for great photos, and Ways of Africa delivered. We ended up with Surat for the first part of our trip and Frank for the rest. Both did a great job of anticipating the actions of the wildlife and putting us in great positions.
Our lodging/food exceeded my expectations - especially for the price we paid during high season. I would comfortably book with Ways of Africa again in the future.

Efficient and friendly Staff. Highly recommended
We were a group of 4 photographers and we had high expectations regarding the driver that would be provided.
We were out before sunrise and did not return to our lodge until sunset time as we needed to maximize the opportunities to get good photographs.
Ways of Africa made all this possible. Our driver was very knowledgeable, would anticipate the action properly and as a result we got good photos.
We took breakfast and lunch with us, they were provided in boxes and there was always enough to go through the day. Although food was never much of a concern to us.
The lodges were very comfortable and the food was good.
Overall, we had a great experience and I recommend Ways of Africa to anyone looking for a photo safari.
Unforgettable Safari with the Best Guide, Paul
We had an amazing safari experience, and a huge part of it was thanks to our guide, Paul! He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about the wildlife.
Paul was excellent at spotting animals and always made an effort to find the best viewing opportunities for us. Throughout the trip, he shared interesting information about the animals, their behavior, and the local environment, which made the safari much more meaningful and enjoyable.
He was also very friendly, reliable, and easy to communicate with. We always felt comfortable and well taken care of. We saw so many incredible animals and created memories that we will never forget.
Thank you, Paul, for making our Kenya safari such a wonderful experience. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone planning a safari in Kenya!
Great experience
Paul is an excellent guider and fantastic driver He is very smart and good at planning. He has a pair of eyes like Africa fishing eagle He is very skillful at safari game drive. Whenever it needs fast, he drives like a leopard, when it needs slower with a big bump and he is like an elephant, doing it very steady. He is very friendly with a sense of humor and a little bit a sense of mystery. We are very happy with Paul s work and personality.

Unforgettable Safari with Ways of Africa
We have completed a 7‑day, 6‑night Kenya safari with Ways of Africa, and the experience was good. Their booking power is strong – we booked in June for a July departure, yet they secured every lodge we requested. It was a pleasure to communicate with Paul. He was patient and offered practical, useful advice that made planning easier. Our guide, Gabriel, though not very experienced in the field, proved dedicated and responsible, turning each game drive into an interesting and productive activity. We saw rare wildlife and some memorable scenes. The trip ran smoothly, with good logistics and daily coordination, and we all left satisfied.
