Fiona was always responsive and willing to assist when needed.
5/5

Overall the tour to these two countries was amazing. There were a couple of issues but I have learnt when travelling that there are always some problems that arise.
How these are dealt with is the important thing and Fiona was responsive and helpful.
If travelling here then understanding the concept of a joining safari to see if this suits your travel style would be recommended.
I enjoyed the experience and would be happy to travel with Inspired Feet again.
The accomodation levels I chose suited my needs and Fiona ensured I was happy with the tour by calling me to check in as the tour progressed.

Amazing experience with inspired feet safari
5/5

I recently completed a 14-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania planned by Inspired Feet. I am very impressed by how well organized everything was. From start to finish, they made the entire experience extremely smooth, easy, and completely stress-free for my friend and me. They were always on top of the details, responded quickly whenever we had questions, and checked in regularly to make sure everything was going exactly as planned.

The safari guides they work with were exceptional! They were super knowledgeable, friendly, and knew so much about wildlife. Thanks to them, we saw an incredible variety of animals and enjoyed unforgettable moments, including a group of zebras wandering into our camp and grazing right outside our tent as we were getting ready for bed.

Inspired Feet gave us a well-organized, unforgettable safari experience. I highly recommend them for anyone planning a trip to Kenya or Tanzania.

Excellent and caring dealing with customers
5/5

Fiona is very professional, super quick in responding, refreshingly honest and caring about every small detail. I find their pricing very compatitive compared to other providers. They arranged for the best guide/driver Benson who knew exactly where to find animals. Thank you very much for this unforgettable experience.

Severely unprofessional & a real lack of humility
1/5

I paid almost $3,500 for what I expected to be a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience with Inspired Feet. Instead, I received a trip that was disorganised, misleading, unprofessional, and nothing like what I was sold. I want to share my experience so others don’t risk getting scammed out of their dream holiday the way I did.
1. Mis-Sold Activities & False Itinerary Promises
Several activities clearly listed in my itinerary were never delivered.
• Day 6 – Relax at Olkaria: I was looking forward to this, but the guide dismissed it and never followed up.
• Walking Safari at Amboseli: Completely ignored, never arranged, and brushed off when I asked.
• “Full-Day” Game Drives: What I paid for was 6am–5/6pm drives (as other groups received). What I got were shortened drives starting around 9am and ending by 3/4pm—with only rare exceptions. This meant losing 4–5 hours every day of the experience I paid for.
2. Guide Onyoni – Extremely Unprofessional
On day one, he literally almost drove off without me, and another guest had to stop him. Communication was poor, his attitude felt careless, and the shortened game drives made it obvious he wasn’t interested in giving guests the experience they paid for.
3. Guide George – Terrible Logistics & Dishonesty
The last day at Amboseli was chaos: I spent 6 hours in the park and 4.5 hours waiting around, even though my hotel was only 30 minutes away. I was also stuck waiting while other guests (from different groups!) were dropped off and taken to a Maasai village I wasn’t even attending.
We arranged a sunrise start and I stood ready from 4:55am—only to be picked up at 6:15am with no apology.
Later, he hid in a restaurant having a full breakfast while the group stood waiting. When confronted, he lied about it to Fiona until she called him.
4. Fiona’s Changing Behaviour
Before and during the trip, Fiona was helpful. But after I formally raised my complaint—with detailed evidence—everything changed.
• My concerns were brushed aside as “hearsay.”
• Despite acknowledging issues on the trip, they refused responsibility.
• They even confirmed that they sacked the guide I was with—yet still claimed they had done nothing wrong and refused any form of refund or compensation.
If firing a guide isn’t proof of poor service, what is?
5. Overall Experience
Although the short time actually spent in the parks was enjoyable, the majority of the trip was overshadowed by wasted hours, missing activities, and unprofessional behaviour. What I paid for and what I received were completely misaligned.
Final Warning
Inspired Feet did not deliver the itinerary they sold me. They ignored multiple promised activities, wasted huge amounts of my time, and provided guides whose behaviour ranged from careless to dishonest. And even after admitting fault by removing the guide, they still refused any resolution.
Do not book your once-in-a-lifetime safari with Inspired Feet.
They are dishonest, and in my experience, they will take your money without delivering what they promise. Please protect your time, your money, and your trip—book with a trustworthy company instead.

Dear Mathew,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your 8-day mid-range safari experience. We are truly sorry to hear that our services did not meet your expectations.

While we acknowledge that no company is perfect, we do work diligently to ensure every client receives the experience they paid for. In light of your concerns, we would like to clarify a few important points for accuracy and for the benefit of future guests.

1. Hells Gate (Olkaria) Activity
This activity is exclusively available for private safaris. Fiona communicated this clearly during your briefing. As you were on a group safari, the activity was presented as an optional experience only for private guests.

2. Game Drives & Park Regulations
All game drives were delivered as per the itinerary. Kenyan national parks open at 6:00am and close at 6:00pm. Vehicles typically exit by 4:00–5:00pm to avoid penalties. This information was shared with you during your office briefing.

The reason for Amboseli’s Game drive starting at 9:00AM was clearly communicated to you before hand and it was because of a geographical conditions. All full day game drives in Amboseli ONLY begin slightly later than in Maasai Mara or Nakuru. Due to Mount Kilimanjaro’s influence, early mornings in Amboseli are extremely cold, and most animals retreat deeper into the park until temperatures rise around 9:00–10:00am. Our goal is always to maximize wildlife sightings, which is why this timing is recommended and communicated to all clients — including yourself.

3. Group Safari Logistics
Group safaris operate with shared schedules. When any guest participates in an activity, the group waits, and the same courtesy applies to every individual. This ensures fairness and smooth coordination for everyone on board.

4. Concerning the Guide Interaction
We take guest comfort seriously. When we learned of the altercation between you and the guide which made the group uncomfortable we acted immediately and relieved the guide of their duties. Our guides must maintain professionalism at all times, and any behavior outside that standard is unacceptable.

5. Refund Policy
Our refund policy covers only two situations:
1. Services not rendered
2. Changes in accommodation without prior notice

NONE OF THESE applied to Mathew.

As all services were delivered as booked, your request for a full refund could not be honored.

After Mathew threatened us about writing multiple reviews because we did not honor his request we responded by letting him that we appreciate honest, constructive feedback, even when negative, as it helps us improve.

However, creating multiple reviews under different Google accounts with the intention of harming our business is inappropriate such as Stephen Watson and the rest. This is malicious intent.

Despite this, we remain committed to maintaining transparency, professionalism, and excellent service for all our clients.

Unforgettable and Knowledgeable
5/5

Our safari in Africa was truly the trip of a lifetime! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized — friendly guides, breathtaking landscapes, and incredible wildlife sightings every single day. We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, and even a leopard up close! The accommodations were comfortable, and always had good communication with our safari group through Inspired Feet Safaris.

What really made it special was the people — our guide was so knowledgeable and passionate, teaching us so much about the animals and local culture. Every sunrise and sunset felt magical. It’s an experience I’ll never forget, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for an authentic, awe-inspiring adventure in Africa!

The coolest trip we've ever had
5/5

Thank you for the trip, Fiona gave us a full consultation at the beginning and then, when we arrived in Kenya, she met us at the office and explained everything in detail. The safari was great, I especially want to mention the driver Jackson, he is the best!

Great value for money
5/5

This travel agency offers the lowest price, and tourists can choose to include or exclude various small activities. Of course, if your budget is sufficient, you can also ask them to arrange a luxury package.

More Expensive for More Information but Not Neccessarily a Better Tour
3/5

I went on the 14 day Combined Kenya-Tanzania Safari. I chose Inspired Feet because of their positive reviews, excellent e-mail communication and detailed itinerary. Fiona was professional and answered all my questions. I had multiple guides but Francis and Godana in Kenya were the best and deserve a shout-out for their service.

I thought I would be with one group the whole time but I was not. This was disappointing to me as a solo traveller. Unless you are on a private tour, you will be on "joining safari" which means you share a car with multiple people from different tour companies. People may have different itineraries. I changed cars 3 times in Kenya and 2 times in Tanzania. It was nice to meet new people and have different drivers but it made it harder to form a bond with people. This was because I had a longer itinerary than most people (it was the extra day in Kenya compared to others that threw things off).

The value for money is OK. I met people who had the same itinerary as me but paid less. I thought I was getting value out of a more detailed itinerary book but honestly it was not worth it. When you get on the safari everyone is figuring things out as they go anyway. Go with the tour company with the best price that hits the destinations you want. The extra information about the destinations in the book and about the hotels was not worth paying what I estimate was 10-15% more than what others did (at least). I would recommend upgrading to the jeep for Kenya though - it is essential and I didn't see any vans in the parks.

Inspired Feet did not communicate with me after I paid the deposit. I was on my own for my visas and had to message them about scheduling the transport from the hotel to their office. Other tour operators did this for their clients so I would have liked more communication.

I was recommended the 14 day itinerary because it was "the most popular option". This was not my experience. During my trip, I did not meet anyone doing the same itinerary (with Inspired Feet or another company). Most people do Kenya OR Tanzania. I did 7 days in Kenya but most people I met were doing 5 days. In Tanzania, I did 6 days but most people do 4. If you want to go to Kenya and Tanzania and want to save money/time, do the 10 day itinerary - it skips Lake Naivasha, Lake Manyara and Tarangire Park, which aren't as popular or good of parks. I preferred Kenya over Tanzania so I would do 6 days in Kenya (having 2 full days in Masai Mara was worth it). The drive to the Serengeti in Tanzania included 4 hours of the worst roads I've ever seen. I thought the Masai Mara was much better for wildlife because it is more dense part. Only go to the Serengeti if it is a bucket list item. The Ngorongoro Crater was highly underwhelming - cool landscape but it really is just a hole in the ground with few animals. Despite this, I enjoyed having a longer trip because I did see new things everyday and could appreciate all the parks at a slower pace. The 4 day run doing Serengeti and Ngorongoro is absolutely brutal - I am glad I had 2 extra days to break it up.

Would I recommend Inspired Feet? Yes and No. Their service was quality, the tour was great and I had a good time. It was expensive for a budget safari and I don't think I should have been recommended the 14-day tour.

Dear Samantha,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed experience. We truly value your feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall safari and appreciated the service from our team, especially Francis and Godana.

We’re delighted that you found the safari memorable, enjoyed meeting new people, and noted the professionalism in our pre-tour communication. Your insights are invaluable to us.

Regarding the itinerary recommendation, we appreciate your perspective as a younger solo traveler. Our 14-day Kenya–Tanzania safari is typically preferred by elderly clients or wildlife enthusiasts couples who enjoy a slower-paced, immersive experience, and since age details aren’t always provided during booking, it can be difficult to tailor recommendations perfectly. We’ll certainly use this feedback to bridge that gap going forward — ensuring our suggestions align more closely with travelers’ age ranges, energy levels, and preferences.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the vehicle and guide changes during your trip. We also offered this information prior to the safari on the briefing. Group-sharing safaris sometimes require coordinating travelers on varying itineraries, though we understand how this may have felt less personal as a solo guest. We also appreciate your thoughts regarding communication and itinerary clarity. We did send your receipt after the deposit payment, and for visa-related inquiries, we encourage guests to reach out directly — we pride ourselves on prompt replies via both email and WhatsApp.

In terms of cost, your package included a Jeep upgrade, which accounts for the difference compared to other travelers’ pricing. Moving forward, this upgrade will be automatically included in all 2026/2027 safari packages to enhance value and experience for our guests. A 14D itinerary has to include your accommodations, park entry fees for sleeping inside the park and meals day in & out. It’s a long trip. $2500 for the 14D budget trip was honestly a good deal considering it included the Jeep however we do respect your views.

Once again, we appreciate your honesty and are truly glad that despite the challenges, you had a memorable experience exploring Kenya and Tanzania. We’d be honored to host you again — perhaps on a shorter, more personalized private safari next time.

Kind regards,
Inspired Feet Safaris Ltd

Complete tour with great guides
5/5

It was incredible! We went as a couple and did the 12-day Kenya-Tanzania tour. The tour was comprehensive and very intense, and very good value for money. Thanks to the Keyna guides, who were fantastic! Especially Bryan, who made sure we saw as much as possible, and Jeff, whose patience allowed us to witness long behavioral processes! Everyone we met was friendly and open to sharing!
The travel company was very accommodating, much appreciated!
I think the only downside is that for such a long tour, you'd have to add a full day of rest in the middle!
