Worst experience of my life
1/5

1 star as it is not possible to give less. We booked through Ramesa Adventures who chose Rosallin Adventure and Logistic to carry over the actual safari (Michael for 2 days and then Morris that we were told after the safari that he was on training; indeed he used the binocolous the other way around - picture as evidence. He said that pelicans were flamingos and that in Lake Nakuru there were tunas). We’ve been left 1 day without water during the safari, the second guide kept getting lost as he didn’t know the roads in the parks (asking to other guides or even kids!!!!). Our life has been put at risk twice (one going off a road as it was pouring rain and the driver was on the phone with Michael asking for indications; he lost control of the road and we nearly went down in a huge hole. The second time we got stuck in the mud off-road in a park next to leopards area and with one mama elephant approaching with a baby the water next to the car. Morris refused to call the rangers to get help as he would have got fined. Result was us stuck almost 3 hours with incredible amount of stress and fear.) After being stuck it was US the tourists noticing that a tyre was flat. The guide didn’t have the tools to change it so he had to call for other cars to support. Cherry on the cake, the tyre changed was not adequate for the car and we had to stop other 3 times the day after. Both Ramesa and Rosallin refused to give us back money for a Masai Mara entrance that we didn’t do as it took Morris 8 hours instead of 3h to drive us from lake Nakuru to Masai Mara. They also refused to refund as a reasonable amount for all the stress caused to us showing that they haven’t even realized at all what we went through and the basics of tourism. In addition to that they also started saying that our intention was from the beginning to get money back - as if I spend almost 10k dollars in a once in a life experience hoping to live a nightmare and get some money back. Pictures as evidence. Some people should be just not allowed to work in tourism. We are now in conversations with authorities reporting the whole fact.

Mr. Francesco and his group following their safari with Ramesa Adventures between 26th July and 2nd August 2025.

On behalf of Ramesa Adventures Limited, I extend our sincere apologies to the Authority and the guests for the inconveniences they experienced. We deeply regret that the safari did not meet expectations in its entirety and are grateful for the opportunity to clarify the events, confirm corrective measures, and demonstrate our commitment to resolving this matter in good faith.

1. Safari Booking and Payment Arrangements
Mr. Francesco (Not customer, Damiano Nargi i.e no quote request from from Mr. Nargi),

Mr. Francesco reached directly engaged Ramesa Adventures to design and operate a private safari itinerary covering Tsavo East, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Maasai Mara.

The itinerary was agreed and fully paid in advance.
Ramesa Adventures guaranteed delivery of a seamless safari experience, consistent with our long-standing professional reputation.

2. Engagement of Mr. Michael (Rosallin Adventures)
The safari coincided with the peak July–August high season, when demand for guides and vehicles is particularly high.

To supplement operational capacity, Ramesa Adventures subcontracted Mr. Michael of Rosallin Adventures to provide guiding and vehicle services.

This was arranged in good faith, based on a history of positive collaborations with Mr. Michael.

Unfortunately, his handling of logistics during this safari fell short of expectations and directly contributed to disruptions for the guests.

3. Chronological Account of the Safari

Day 1 – 26th July 2025 (Arrival in Mombasa / Transfer to Tsavo East)
Guests arrived at Moi International Airport at 8:00 pm. Day 1 was scheduled solely for transfer.
Arrival at Voi Safari Lodge (inside Tsavo East) was around 11:00 pm due to late flight and traffic.
As per KWS regulations, entry fees were required and settled by Ramesa Adventures at no extra cost to guests.
A lodge vehicle transferred them from the park gate to the hotel. Drinking water was bought at the hotel while we provide enough water throughout the safari

Day 2 – Tsavo East Safari & Transfer to Amboseli
Full day game drive was done.
Park fees were covered by the company.

Day 3 & 4 – Amboseli National Park
Game drives conducted smoothly without major issues except for Mr. Michael who informed us that he wasn't feeling well and promised to bring in one of his guides which we trusted with the work given Michael has years of experience in the field.

Day 5 – Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
Boat ride and Crescent Island excursion successfully completed.
Overnight at Sarova Woodlands, Nakuru.(an upgrade without requesting for extra charges)
KWS facilitated a date adjustment for Lake Nakuru’s game drive.

Day 6 – Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
Morning game drive at Nakuru undertaken.
Delays occurred due to extended game drive until noon and driver delays during transfer.
Group reached Maasai Mara around 6:00 pm, completing only a cultural visit instead of the scheduled game drive.

Day 7 – Maasai Mara
Full-day game drive completed, but disrupted when the vehicle became stuck and required recovery.
We apologize for this event, they later did game drive after that

Day 8 – Return to Nairobi
Vehicle experienced a breakdown en route but was repaired, and the guests safely arrived in Nairobi.
Game drive was offered to the group but unfortunately they did not want to do the morning game before departing to Nairobi
Our representative met them at the airport to hear their concerns and agree on remedial action.

4. Refund Agreement and Settlement
During the meeting, Mr. Francesco and Ramesa Adventures mutually agreed that a refund of USD 880 would be made as fair compensation for the missed Maasai Mara full-day game drive.

The refund amount was structured as follows:
USD 800 – reimbursement of Maasai Mara park entry fees
USD 80 – % stated by Mr. Francesco
Although the Mara park fees had already been remitted to Mr. Michael (who handled logistics for that leg of the safari)
We confirm that this refund has since been processed and successfully sent in full to Mr. Francesco and his group.
Supporting payment details are provided in Appendix A.

5. Acknowledgment of Shortcomings & Corrective Measures
We sincerely acknowledge that, despite several smooth phases of the safari, logistical disruptions on Day 1 and Day 6, as well as vehicle issues, negatively affected the experience.

In response, Ramesa Adventures has implemented the following corrective measures:

Stricter Subcontracting Standards – Only fully vetted and compliant partners will be engaged.
Enhanced Vehicle Inspections – Comprehensive checks before each safari.
Guide & Driver Training – Stronger emphasis on guest care, professionalism, and time management.
Real-Time Oversight – Closer monitoring of safari operations to proactively address any emerging issues.

6. Conclusion
Ramesa Adventures reaffirms its commitment to:
Honoring guest agreements — in this case, the USD 880 refund mutually agreed with Mr. Francesco has been sent successfully.

Maintaining transparency and fairness in resolving guest concerns.

Applying the lessons learned from this incident to strengthen our service delivery.

Upholding the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and guest satisfaction.

We once again extend our sincere apologies to Mr. Francesco and his group

Refund Payment Confirmation
Refund Amount Agreed: USD 880.00 (as per mutual agreement between Mr. Francesco and Ramesa Adventures on 2nd August 2025)

Incredible, amazing fantastic journey
5/5

We had an incredible 5-day journey with Felix, an exceptionally experienced driver and guide. His sharp eyes and deep knowledge of the wildlife made our trip truly unforgettable—he even spotted a cheetah standing gracefully in the golden grasslands!

Thanks to Felix’s expertise, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five (and even the “Ugly Five”) by the third day. On the fourth day, we witnessed a breathtaking animals river crossing, a moment we’ll never forget. Achieving all of this in just five days feels almost unbelievable.

We’re deeply grateful to Ramesa and Felix for making this one of the most memorable trips of our lives.

Incredible experience at top value
5/5

We chose Ramesa for our 6-day safari trip (from Nairobi) after comparing five different operators, and ultimately decided on them based on their excellent communication and competitive pricing. Our contact person, Lincons, was responsive, clear, and helpful throughout the entire process.

The value for money was outstanding. We stayed in high-end lodges throughout the trip, yet the overall cost remained very competitive compared to other offers we had received.

Ramesa was also highly flexible with logistics, including pick-up locations and departure options.

During the safari itself, communication remained excellent, ensuring we always felt well taken care of.

A special mention goes to our guide, Moses, who was exceptional: knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. From what we observed, he was considerably better than the other guides we encountered along the way.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Ramesa delivered a seamless, well-organized, and memorable safari experience.

Don't join "night game"
3/5

We are one elder couple from Hong Kong. We took 11 days Safari tour in Kenya was one big event for us because it is very expensive. Anyway we think it would be one great experience in our life after retired.
In January 2025, we find Ramesa Adventure via Safaribooking.com. one man called' Lincons" contact us to concern all details. During the discussion period, he offered us
"Balloon US$450 / p and Night game US$100/p". These 2 items can be confirmed when we arrived in Kenya.
Our Safari tour was from 23/July - 3/August. We were really looking forward to this holiday. Therefore we well planned everything half a year ago.
On 23/July 2025, Lincons meet us in Hotel in the morning. It was our first Safari day. At that moment, we confirmed to join" Balloon and night game." But Lincons said the price for Night game is US$200/p. I said" No", before you quoted the price US$100/p not US$200/p. They had 3 persons included the driver - kept saying this game is very full and interesting ....
Finally we paid night game total US$400 for 2 persons because we though we can only visit Kenya once in life, even it is very expensive. At the same we were very highly anticipated something special in this Night game.

Consequently very disappointed-
2 hours Night Game.

How Interesting?
We found not more than 8 aminals, Zebra, Giraffe, Antelopes and one elephant'sbutt . All animals we can find exactly same as day time.

How full ? - only I and my husband in one land cruiser.

We ( 2 idiot) spent US$400 for 2 hrs to look at the stars in the sky.

I understand everything in Kenya is not reasonable expensive. I accepted to paid US $ 100 /p for "Night game" because we made wrong decision but we can't accept they raised prices when we confirmed to join this game.

The next morning, I strongly complained to our diver. He just said he would respond to Lincons who will handle our unhappy.

From that day up to this moment, I do not receive any messages even one " sorry " from Lincons.

We share our unhappy experience with other, we just hope no one is as stupid as us anymore.

Thank you sincerely for sharing your honest feedback about your safari experience with us from July 23 to August 3, 2025. We are truly grateful that you chose Ramesa Adventures for such a special journey after your retirement, and we highly value the trust you placed in us.

We are pleased that your 11-day safari was well executed, covering all the planned destinations, and that we were able to extend a complimentary pre-night stay in Nairobi as part of your package. It is always our goal to create a seamless and memorable experience for our guests.

That said, we deeply regret to learn about your disappointment with the night game drive. Please allow me to clarify a few points:

Optional Activities: Experiences such as balloon safaris and night game drives are always treated as optional. We normally encourage pre-booking to secure the best rates and to avoid last-minute variations.

Balloon Safari: Your hot air balloon safari in the Maasai Mara was arranged at USD 450 per person (a preferential rate, as most operators charge USD 500 per person).

Night Game Drive:
Night drives are only available in certain locations such as Amboseli and Ol Pejeta, and usually require advance booking.

The published rate is USD 100 per person, but this applies to a minimum of 4 guests sharing a vehicle. As your safari was private with only 2 guests, the cost per person was therefore higher.

We normally recommend guests settle such optional activities directly, as this gives flexibility and clarity on costs.

We are very sorry if this was not made sufficiently clear in advance and for the disappointment you felt during the activity itself. We also regret that your driver’s report did not highlight your dissatisfaction at the time, as this would have allowed us to address your concerns immediately.

This is the first time we have received such feedback on a night game drive, as most guests have found it rewarding. However, we also recognize that wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, particularly at night.

Our Commitment Going Forward

Please accept our sincere apologies for this shortcoming. We are taking your feedback seriously and will:

Strengthen our communication regarding optional activities, ensuring all guests are fully aware of pricing differences between group and private participation before confirming.

Continue to encourage pre-booking of such activities to avoid any misunderstandings.

We truly hope that, despite this experience, you will hold onto the many highlights of your safari—the landscapes, the wildlife encounters, and the memories created over your 11-day journey.

Thank you once again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us refine our services and ensures that future guests enjoy an even smoother experience.

Family
5/5

We had an unforgettable 5-day safari in the Masai Mara. Our driver Paul was fantastic – knowledgeable, patient, and always spotting wildlife we would have missed. Everything was perfectly arranged by Lincoln, who made the whole trip smooth and stress-free. The final family-style meal was the perfect ending to an amazing adventure. Highly recommended!
