Accommodating, Flexible and very knowledgeable from start to finish
Rachael did a fantastic job facilitating our entire 4 day safari to Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara. She presented the best options customized for what we wanted to see and getting us great accommodation packages at both locations. James, our driver, was superb as well. He ensured we saw a huge variety of animals and nature in our short amount of time on safari. He was easily the most skilled driver in park, often navigating to lesser known spots and helping other drivers out of the mud. Overall it was a fantastic value for a mid-luxury level safari and we would highly recommend.

Very communicative and knowledgeable
From the start, these guys were great. James contacted me immediately with a quote and answered any of the questions I had. Some of the lodges were booked, so he quickly pivoted with other options and got those booked. James was also quick to respond and make the entire process seamless
As for the Safari itself. John was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Even though we only saw the leopard for a split second walking between bushes, we were able to see the Big 5 and many other animals, often times being the first few vehicles to arrive at a sighting.
My wife and I are not overly talkative people and neither was John, which was perfect. If you’re looking for a great guy, who loves his job, knows his stuff, and someone you would want to get a beer with… he’s your man! It couldn’t have been a more perfect pairing.

Reliable and reasonably priced
We enjoyed an excellent safari with Splendid Vacations, visiting Masai Mara (Mara Enkaji lodge, highly recommended) and Lake Naivasha. Rachael organised everything very well and was flexible to all our requirements. Timothy was an excellent guide, driver and game spotter. We would book through them again.

Perfect！！！
My African trip with your travel agency was fantastic, and I still can't help but smile when I think back on those experiences. From the first sunrise over the savanna—where we watched a pride of lions stretch awake—to the thrilling moment when wildebeest thundered across the Mara River, every day felt like a precious gift.
Much of the brilliance of this journey was thanks to our guide, Augustine. He was professional and patient, always able to accurately name each animal and explain their habits in detail: like telling us how giraffes use their long tongues to pull leaves, or the function of zebras' unique stripes.
He also paid attention to our interests, making a point to show us details that might easily be missed, such as young birds learning to fly or weavers busy building their nests. With him around, we not only saw the vitality of wild animals but also understood the vibrancy of this savanna. Thank you to your agency and Augustine. I'll cherish this memory forever and highly recommend you!

We traveled as a group of eight — my parents, in-laws, my spouse, and I — and every single one of us came away feeling like we had just lived out a dream.
From the moment we contacted Dennis, our safari tour consultant, the experience was seamless. Dennis was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and patient with our many questions. His expertise and attention to detail ensured that our trip was perfectly tailored to our group’s needs.
The value for money was phenomenal. Everything — from the stunning lodges to the game drives — was thoughtfully planned and delivered far more than we expected. Our drivers and guides, Alex and James, were nothing short of extraordinary. They were not only friendly and warm, but also incredibly knowledgeable, intuitive, and skilled at both spotting wildlife and navigating the terrain safely. Their insights brought the entire experience to life — they seemed to anticipate the animals' movements and always positioned us perfectly for photos. Their thoughtfulness and care toward our group made a huge difference, especially for our older parents.
This safari was everything it should be and more: wild, beautiful, educational, comfortable, and absolutely thrilling.

Wonderful safari itinerary in Kenya and Tanzania
SPLENDID is a great travel agency. Their itinerary planning was very unique from the very beginning, and they understood our needs directly. The safari lasted 10 days, from Kenya to Tanzania, then to Amboseli in Kenya, and finally back to Kilimanjaro Airport for Zanzibar Island. The car was in great condition, the driver was very professional and patient, and quickly found the Big 5, making the entire trip very exciting and smooth. The price was also very affordable compared to other travel agencies. I highly recommend this agency to travelers planning a safari.

Communication: 10/10 - we dealt with James who is based in the central office, during the booking process he was excellent over email and What’s App. Responsive, clear and well organised as we planned our trip.
Driver/Tour Guide: 10/10 - We cannot thank our driver and guide, Joshua, enough. He was knowledgeable, super-organised and a great communicator. Throughout the 6 day safari there was no end to his knowledge about the environment, animals and general culture in Kenya. We got a brilliant education throughout. He was always a step ahead, using the radio to coordinate with other guides, and this ensured we got many sightings and up-close encounters.
Joshua was polite, considerate and made us feel safe and welcome. He honestly could not have done more for us. Thank you Joshua.
We are very pleased overall and would not hesitate to recommend Splendid Vacations. We had one isolated issue on our last day airport transfer - our transfer driver (not our tour guide) was delayed in picking us up but they quickly found an alternative got us to the airport in great time!

Exceeded expectations, such an amazing experience.
Wow—what a trip! Our safari and beach holiday with Splendid Locations was absolutely unforgettable. We were a bit unsure at first since they’re a smaller company in Kenya, but they totally nailed it. Everything we wanted, they made happen.
James our organiser, was a star—always reachable and super organised. We left our passports and valuables behind in a lodge safe (oops!), and they got them to us safely at the next lodge hassle free. Steve our safari guide was professional and knowledgeable and we felt in safe hands the entire week. We saw four of the Big Five on our first safari—such a thrill!
We also added an extra day of sightseeing in Nairobi before flying home.
