Hard worker
I went on a safari tour with the Maasai tribe. During the Maasai village tour, they demanded souvenirs, as they rely on tourism to make a living. It was a bit disconcerting at first. On the other hand, it was heartbreaking to see how they had to make a living. Still, it was fascinating to experience the Maasai tribe's lifestyle and traditional culture.
The safari was a treat. Our guide, Bryan, did his best to show us the animals. He constantly communicated with us via walkie-talkie, ensuring we had the best memories :)

The moment we stepped into their small, cosy office in Nairobi, it was clear we were dealing with a young company (just about two years old) that cares deeply about what they do. There’s an intimacy to the space and an unforced warmth to the people—nothing flashy, nothing performative, just genuine hospitality.
What truly set Zanzi apart was the team itself. Their agents were not only courteous and professional, but remarkably friendly—much more than we expected. You get the feeling they actually enjoy meeting travelers, not just booking trips for them. Their enthusiasm for the Safari experience was infectious; they spoke about the Mara with the kind of passion that only comes from people who have experienced it themselves, and still haven’t lost the wonder.
Another thing we appreciated: they were wonderfully mindful about cost. Instead of pushing fixed or expensive packages, they took actual time to listen to our priorities and designed an itinerary that fit our budget without compromising the richness of the adventure. It never felt like savings meant sacrifice.
Throughout the journey, every logistical detail—from pickup to park entry to accommodation—ran smoothly. The guide they arranged was knowledgeable, patient, and deeply respectful of both wildlife and local communities. Even small gestures—regular check-ins, quick WhatsApp responses, offering tips for better sightings—made the whole experience feel personalized.
Zanzi African Safaris may be a young company, but they’re already operating with the heart, integrity, and professionalism of an outfit that deserves to become a big name. We’d recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone dreaming of the Masai Mara.

collaborative, helpful and good price
Zanzi African Safaris were always ready to help us. They answered almost immediately when in need of assistance. They are communicating through WhatsApp, which made the process very easy.
We had three different guides during our safari, which to us wasn’t a problem, they were all good guides and everything was well planned so the changeovers didn’t cause any delays. If you want the consistency of have one guide you should announce that when planning your safari.

Company was super reliable and were always in reach via WhatsApp. Value of money is fantastic, we reached out to several agencies and this was by far the cheapest one, but everything was extremly good organized and we didnt face any issues.

Very responsive and accommodating to last minute safari booking.
I booked very last minute, and Zanzi’s communication was great. They answered all my questions. I was a solo traveler so keen to join a group safari. The driver was great, the accommodation (budget option) was good, and I opted for one day in the park which was truly unforgettable.

Unforgettable experience with amazing customer support
It’s been my dream since I was a child to go on a safari and I can 100% assure that it has been fulfilled thanks to Zanzi African. My wife and I booked the 8 days tour Kenya and Tanzania, including Maasai - Nakuru - Arusha (Serengeti - Ngorongoro).
I would say we loved the whole safari experience and saw all of the Big 5 both in Kenya and Tanzania, thanks to the amazing drivers! They never got tired of finding the best places with animals and answer any question we had. We also met amazing people with whom we shared the van and the safari experience and can confidently say that friendships were made.
There were some hiccups here and there, but were very quickly sorted out. I can really recommend this tour to all the people who are interested, I personally like the wilderness experience (such as sleeping on a tent in the middle of the Serengeti) but I believe there are other options with different prices as I know it’s not for everyone.
Finally, I really want to highlight the customer support, as they were super responsive and made sure to follow up with you if everything was going well. Whatever question I had, they replied very fast.

Excellent 5 day budget safar Maasai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli
Great communications with friendly, helpful staff at Zanzi African Safaris. Helped us book a last minute budget safari with just 4 days to go. Campsites were clean and comfortable with mostly hot water (leave it to run a bit!). Food was good, lots of vegie dishes, chicken, meat, some curries, eggs, and always plenty. Vegies and vegans might like to take their own jar of peanut butter to supplement protein intake? Our 5 day safari was spectacular ..saw everything except cheetah. Highlights were the great migration, mama cheetah and 5 adult cubs hunting gazelle twice, very close up viewings of lion on several occasions, and elephant on many many occasions. Such beautiful parks. Great trip.
