Highly Recommended - 20 day Southern African Safari trip from African Coast Travel

My husband and I had the pleasure of making this wonderful trip recently. It is a perfect way of seeing many different countries in Southern Africa in a fairly short time frame. One would always like to say longer in certain areas, but for an overview of the 5 countries included, it’s a perfect introduction. There is so much diversity in this trip, from exploring sophisticated cities like Cape Town and Johannesburg, to breathtaking game drives and miracles of nature , to cultural and historical artifacts and interactions with warm, wonderful people.
African Coast Travel takes care of all of the details, from initial airport pick up to all hotels, most activities and meals, internal and inter-Africa flights. We compared the services and amenities of African Coast to numerous other travel group options. We specifically wanted to support local African tour groups and researched many, but also explored group travel packages from the USA, UK, Australia and more. One of the major benefits of the 20 Day African Explorer Safari from African coast was that the pricing was per person and the trip was available for 2 people – thus, it was basically a private tour throughout. Prices of large tour groups were often as much, if not more as African coast, but they would have meant a bus load of 20-40 other people. The benefits of a private tour are innumerable.
Many people still think of Africa as being unsafe and are concerned about traveling there. We certainly didn’t know what to expect, but felt totally safe throughout our tour. We stayed in Cape Town for 5 days before our official tour, and then in Johannesburg for 5 days at the end – thus were on our own, walking the streets, shopping, visiting attractions, etc. We were, naturally careful about going out alone at night (as one would be in most large, unknown cities). But in general we were never concerned about our safety – in fact people went out of their way to ask if we needed help when we were at the subway or bus stops or carrying our luggage around.
So, if you are thinking about visiting Africa, and are looking for a diverse, multi-dimensional experience, definitely contact Joseph at African Coast and start a dialogue. Fun & Informative !
My partner and I travelled to Namibia for the first time in January with high expectations of amazing landscapes dunes and dessert land. The country didn't let us down - my gosh Namibia is breathtaking! What we loved and did not expect was our lovely tour guide - Joseph and his kindness courtesy, fun and light heartedness! He was very informative telling us about the history of Namibia from the formation of the landscapes, the structure of various towns, to the political and social side of the economy and so much more. Thank you to African Coast Travel for making our trip unforgetable. And most of all thank you to Joseph for the care and attentiveness he took in ensuring we enjoyed our stay :) . I love Namibia !!!

Joseph Was Amazing !
I spoke to a few agents when i first started planning my namibian trip but i picked African Coast Travel & Tours as i felt extremely comfortable with Joseph. He was very prompt in replying my emails and answered all my questions with patience. He was also very quick to understand what i liked and customized our trip accordingly. Pleasantly suprised
We booked a 3 day overland tour from Windhoek to Sossusvlei not quite knowing what to expect. The driver met us at the airport on time, dropped us off at the hotel and picked us up the following day from where we travelled to the supermarket to pick up provisions. The 4x4 was robust and air conditioned and our driver was very well-versed on a number of subjects. Camping on top of the vehicle was an experience and we switched to the tent the day after, but the sites were much better equipped than expected. Great evenings cooking food as the sun set - a great way to start our southern Africa tour

Amazing Namib Desert Experience
I really enjoyed this trip put together by African Coast. It's not a safari for wildlife so much but mostly for seeing the spectacular scenery of the Namib Desert including the giant sand dunes and the area known as Dead Vlei. Climbing the sand dunes was very difficult for me so make sure you hit the stairclimber before this trip. The camping was on roof-top tents mounted on our SUV which was a lot of fun. We participated in making the camp fire meals with our guide Tino. We did see some wild life around the camps like the large antelope, "Oryx" and some jackals that visited camp nightly looking for food. Highly recommended!

Joseph Mayo was very prompt in responding to queries and assistance in visa documents. I was upgraded into a Chalet from Camping and that was a pleasant surprise in Hwange park. The whole experience was wonderful and I would recommend them to all solo travellers too like me.

Chobe National Park Day Safari
My wife and I went on our first African safari in March 2016, and Joseph Moyo and African Coast Travel did not disappoint! We did the combined water and land tour, and saw large numbers of hippos, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and lots of additional animals. Our only regret is that we did not book a two day tour so we could see even more (lions and the other cats come out at dusk, so we were limited in our ability to see them since we had to return to Victoria Falls that same day). Joseph took care of us the entire trip, and he was a lot of fun to talk to and hang out with during the trip, and he and the other guides were very knowledgeable of the area and animals. Highly recommended!

Awsome trip with great guide
We were in Hwange on February 2016 with Joseph from African Coast Travel & Tours. Trip has been arranged perfectly in all details. He is great, funny and nice guide. More than 8 hours we spent in National Park where we could see thousands wild animals. Great place to visit, we have seen a lot of areas in park therefore we have seen many elephants, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, monkeys and wild boars! Transfer from and to Zambia has been organized very smooth and fast. I reccomend to all of you Joseph and African Coast Travel & Tours !!!
