Highly recommended
4/5

We recently did a 7 day Safari with Afrishare to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. We were lucky enough to see all the big five and many more!

After, we climbed Kilimanjaro with Afrishare too. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating and we had a great time. We couldn't have made it without the support of the lovely guides Tino and Kija not to mention the porters! We received a very personalised service co-ordinated by the friendly manager Ibrah.

We would highly recommend them.

A precious experience!
5/5

The Safari tour with Afrishare was one of the most memorable experience for me. I went to 3 days Safari tour in May with my friend. Although we booked the tour a week before departure, Ibrah, the owner of this wonderful organisation, arranged the accommodations, a driver etc. perfectly for us. We stayed at Afrishare's volunteer house on the day we arrived at Moshi and the day we got back from Safaris. They provided us a nice room as well as great meals. In the tour, we visited three National Parks: Lake Manyara; Ngorongoro; and Tarangire. Each of the parks gives you different impressions, and you will not get bored at all! Our driver took care of us all the time in spite of long drive, and he taught us many things about the Maasai cultures, wild animals and so on. We stayed at a lodge near Safari which was also comfortable with delicious meals.
Afrishare gave us an amazing experience with surprisingly cheap price and I would definitely recommend Afrishare for all the people seeking to visit Tanzania for Safaris!

Kilimanjaro Hike - Marangu Route
5/5

Afrishare Solutions prepared a wonderful Kilimanjaro expedition for me on the Marangu Route (6 days). I arrived at the afrishare house and a guide carefully went through all of my items to tell me what I was missing. Afrishare rented items that I hadn't brought with me for a very reasonable price (and I am so grateful that I had them on the hike). The guide and assistant guide were both thoughtful, friendly and very well informed about the Kilimanjaro region. The porters were also great and a lot of help to get up the mountain. The cook was very friendly and prepared a variety of delicious dishes which were essential for me making it up to the summit. Afrishare Solutions provided me with the best care as I ascended the mountain and I am sure that I could not have done it if I hadn't had such a friendly and fun team backing me up.

great experience!
5/5

Great experience! I volunteered in a Moshi pre-school for 4 days prior to my safari and spent a few days in Zanzibar after it. Ibrah, the tour owner, arranged for everything in the three parts of my visit. It was safe and fun and I made great friends, both Africans and other travellers. The safari itself was amazing. The cook and driver were friendly and unflappable, and they were great at spotting animals. My friends and I opted for a less expensive experience, staying in tents. It was great. I was happily surprised that the campgrounds always had electricity for charging cameras. I definitely recommend Afrishare! I much preferred the safari to the few days in Zanzibar and if I could do it again, I would have skipped the Zanzibar visit.

Great safe experience, warm & realiable people, definitely recommend
5/5

I was recommended this tour operator by friends and have not been disappointed. I felt supported at every step of the way, with the operator going the extra mile to make sure guests' needs were met. I appreciated their competence in cross-cultural communication as well as their focus on genuine experiences. The manager is very friendly and always up for a laugh -- great time!

Second year adventuring with Afrishare, and I couldn't be happier!
5/5

I stayed with Afrishare this past March, and Ibrah organized two wonderful tours for us. The first day, we had an amazing hike to a waterfall (with a lovely swimming area), and a coffee plantation tour (I brought my boyfriend back some of the coffee, and its amazing!). The second day, we went to visit a traditional Masaai village. I've traveled a lot, and I'm always wary of having a "touristy" experience - everything I've done through Afrishare has been truly wonderful, and money spent on tours goes back into the local communities. I also stayed at Afrishare in 2013, and went on a wonderful safari to Tarangire National Park. Our driver, Freddy, was helpful and friendly, and we saw lions, giraffes, wildebeests, monkeys, ostriches, zebras, and even a cheetah!

Afrishare is an amazing experience for travelers on a bit of a budget, who want to feel like they are part of a family.

Amazing experience to the top of Kili + Safari Wildlife (Serengeti + Ngorongoro Crater)
5/5

Bottom line: Afrishare is an outstanding tourism company that provides rich and meaningful experiences in Tanzania, including all the major attractions (Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater).

My wife and I planned to have the a "once in a lifetime" experience for our honeymoon and chose to explore Tanzania and climb Kilimanjaro together. I reached out to my network for referrals and received a strong amount of recommendations. However, Afrishare stood out for the following reasons:

1) Budget
For trekking and safari, I was hard pressed to find anyone who could beat Afrishare's prices. I put together a spreadsheet of our options and Afrishare was the most affordable. At first, this drew some concerns because I thought maybe it was too good to be true...

2) Responsiveness
I appreciated how quickly Afrishare responded to my emails and shared comprehensive responses. When I asked for testimonials, I was provided with contact information of individuals who had the most positive things to say. Apparently, Afrishare was not "too good to be true". ;-)

3) Social Consciousness
Not only does Afrishare provide tourism services, but they offer volunteer opportunities. They are both business and community leaders in Tanzania that have a positive impact. In fact, we met two volunteers working with NGOs to build schools in the area. I felt good choosing to give my money to an organization that works to do social good.

Kili Review:
My wife and I never hiked before, but we made it to the top and KILLED Kili thanks to our crew and fearless leader, Bashiri! Bashiri and Kijaj were our guides and they know the mountain like the back of their hand. Our porters helped us move between all the campsites and our chef was top notch. He made some exquisite meals for us to enjoy and replenish our energy. We trekked through the Machame Route for six days and felt 100% safe and confident throughout the trek. Afrishare also has a lot of gear and clothes for rent in case you forget to pack anything (like I did).

Safari Review:
We did a four day safari through Serengeti and Ngorongo Crater. A group of lions circled our Land Cruiser (Safari edition so the rooftop pops out) and we got amazing shots of them up close. We even say them rush a herd of zebra, which was incredible. Freddy, our guide, has the eyes of HAWK! He can see wildlife from long distances without a binocular and he knew exactly where to go to find the animals.

Moshi Review:
Between the safari and trek, we stayed in Afrishare's volunteer house in Moshi. We had a pleasant time here and there's an internet cafe right in the neighborhood.

Last words:
You won't regret choosing to work with Afrishare. Despite being budget-friendly, they provide quality safari and trekking services. We are very happy we chose Afrishare and I'm sure anyone else would too.

Thank you Afrishare! We have wonderful memories of Tanzania thanks to you.

Afrishare is great for people on a budget and who want a more authentic experience.
5/5

It is a small, family run business, and everyone is super friendly. Ibrah the owner is great and he will make custom trips to accommodate your group size, budget and activity level. Whatever you want to see, he will make it happen. He planned for my group a coffee plantation tour and waterfall hike, as well as a custom trip to Maasai Village. He also planned a trip to Kilimanjaro summit for one of my friends and her 3 friends. They had a great experience also. I always recommend booking tours through local, small businesses to get the most authentic experience.
