An Absolute Game-Changer! Richie Made Our Safari Unforgettable
We had an incredible experience with Richie! From the moment we landed and started our safari, his exceptional expertise and sharp instincts became completely clear.
While many travelers wait hours or even days to witness the Great Migration river crossing, Richie used his deep experience to guide us straight to the action. We waited for a mere 10 minutes before the wildebeests crossed the river—it was pure magic!
What blew us away even more was how close we got to the wildlife. Many animals appeared right in front of our vehicle, meaning we didn't even need telephoto 'bazooka' lenses to capture amazing moments.
If you are planning a safari in Tanzania, Richie is hands down the guide you want by your side. 5/5 stars—truly world-class service!

An Exceptional Guide — Richard Made Our Tanzania Safari Unforgettable
I recently spent a week on safari in Tanzania with Richard as our private guide, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. Richard was a huge part of what made this one of the best trips we have ever taken.
From the very beginning, Richard was professional, friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. His ability to spot wildlife was amazing — many times he would see something in the distance that we never would have noticed on our own. Even more impressive was his knowledge of the animals, birds, their behavior, and the areas we traveled through. He didn’t just drive us from one sighting to another; he helped us understand what we were seeing and made the entire safari more interesting.
Richard also seemed to have an instinct for knowing where to go and when to go there. On safari, that can make all the difference. He worked hard every day to give us the best possible experience and never made us feel rushed. If something interesting was happening, we stayed. If we wanted to stop for photographs or simply sit and watch the animals, we did. The trip felt like our safari rather than a rigid schedule we had to follow.
Just as important, after spending an entire week together, Richard felt much more like a friend than simply our guide. He has a wonderful personality, is easy to talk with, and genuinely cares about the people he is guiding. We laughed a lot, learned a lot, and thoroughly enjoyed spending our days with him.
I have traveled quite a bit, and I know the difference between someone who is simply doing their job and someone who takes real pride in making sure his guests have an extraordinary experience. Richard is absolutely the latter.
In fact, we enjoyed the experience so much that I am already seriously considering returning to Tanzania in 2028 or 2029 with some of our adult children — and if we do, Richard is the person I want guiding us again. I think that probably says more than anything else I could write.
If you are considering a safari I strongly recommend Tanzania Memories Tours & Safaris, I also would recommend asking for Richard. Tanzania itself is spectacular, but having the right guide can turn a great safari into an unforgettable one.

Richard is the reason that our trip will be unforgettable.
We had the best time with our guide Richard. He is very knowledgeable and his passion for his craft are unmatched. He was able to put us in a perfect position for the wildebeest migration. We literally were right in the center of the action. Richard also put us in front of a Cheetah family that had just secured their meal. We even had one of the Cheetahs jump up onto our truck and sit and watch us as we watched him. We never felt in any danger because we had a guide who we trusted and knew the experience would be one you would never forget. Please make sure you request Richard and give him and his team a try on your next safari. You will NOT be disappointed and you will be counting the days until you go back for another. "Unforgettable Tanzania Safari Adventure"
We had a wonderful safari for a few days. Everything was well organized, and our guide Richard was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the wildlife.
We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other animals. Even though our safari was short, we really enjoyed it and everything went smoothly. Thank you to Richard and the whole team for the great service. We highly recommend this company!

Excellent safari and cultural experience
We’ve had a tour with Leonard in Aug 2026. It is absolutely amazing. We’ve seen all the animals in our list, including big five, ugly five, the great migration etc. Beyond our expectation, we also see baby lions, baby cheetah, vulture feeding scene. We’ve taken thousands of pictures and videos during the safari time. Leonard knows where to go to find the animals, also all the habits and nature of the animals. Also his driving skills is quite good, which is very important for the safari considering the bumpy road conditions. We’ve got a very good time during the safari, as well as the cultural tour (Masai village, Materuni village, Hadzabi tribe, Datoga tribe, Moshi town etc). Definitely a highly recommend.

Travelling from Australia to the wild Serengeti, Richard from Tanzanian Memories was an amazing tour guide. Richard looked after our every need and was so knowledgeable. He was patient and intuitive and drove us to all the best spots where we viewed so many wonderful wildlife to create truly memorable experiences for us. Our safari with Tanzania Memories was not only about animals, it was about understanding Tanzania as a whole.
Yes, we saw incredible wildlife: massive elephant herds in Tarangire, a black rhino in the Ngorongoro Crater, and countless lions in the Serengeti. But what truly stayed with us was the cultural connection.

Richard was so amazing I was really guided so well with perfect exposure
It was really incredible safari when I went to Serengeti I got a lot of experience about animals’ habits and characteristics and Tanzanian culture as well as the food was really delicious I couldn’t forget, I can’t wait to get back with my family to just explore more about Ngorongoro, I would like to appreciate Mr Richard for his kindness for making my safari so unforgettable

If you are looking for a trip of a lifetime look no further, this is it.
What an amazing experience, truly a trip of a lifetime. I've traveled to many countries over the years and have had many guides and I can honestly say Richard is at the top. He makes you feel welcome, comfortable and appreciated. His knowledge of the local culture, traditions and wildlife is second to none. He is amazing at spotting wildlife big or small. Part way through our trip our safari jeep needed some repairs which Richard performed himself after he left us for the evening. He worked late into the night making sure the jeep was in tip top shape for our next days journey. He is such pleasant person to spend our time with in Tanzania.
This was my second time in Tanzania and I will definitely be back. Richard with out a doubt will be the first person I will contact to book my trip. It's been several years since our trip and I'm still in contact with Richard hearing all about his lovely family especially his 2 beautiful young children.
