At first, we thought it wasn’t possible to go see gorillas again this year. But when we contacted our safari consultant, Patrick, our hope increased after his swift response. We booked a last-minute gorilla trekking safari in Uganda with Flawless Adventure Planners, and everything went on hassle-free.
We set off from the hotel we stayed in Entebbe to Bwindi via Masaka-Mbarara-Kabale. It was an enriching route with multiple stopovers, and John, our guide, was helpful. We had fun taking pictures at the Kayabwe Equator crossing, and proceeded to Igongo Cultural Centre for an incredible taste of traditional dishes. Beyond food, there was a lot to learn at the museum in Igongo, including about the history, culture, and traditions of the Ankole Kingdom.
At Bwindi, it was a dream come true encountering a huge silverback gorilla and his members. Such an unforgettable experience. We thank Flawless Adventure Planners for organizing our memorable gorilla trekking safari, and we can’t wait to return to explore more of Uganda.
