Outstanding 10 night solo safari with John Karumba
This was my first visit to Kenya, and I can't thank you enough for delivering my bespoke itinerary so well! The team understood my requests for off-the-beaten-path experiences, nature, conservation, and culture.
As a solo female traveller, I very quickly felt in safe hands with John Karumba as my driver-guide for the entire trip to the North.
John is a very knowledgeable travel companion and expert wildlife spotter. Nothing was too much trouble.
The young team at Sabache felt like one big family, and five elephants coming to drink at the pool below the rooms was a daily treat. The Reteti day from there was very special.
Samburu Reserve had it all, and one of the standout days was our second there where we spotted so many species (unexpectedly and without any visitors around). So memorable!
I hope to return and travel again with John!

John Karumba is an outstanding, professional guide and driver who has my highest recommendation.
John and his company provided multiple guided tours for me in Kenya in 2026, and also in 2025. Each tour was well coordinated, communication was consistently exceptional, and the safari vehicles were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The multiple safari tours that John guided were educational and amazing, and the wildlife viewing and stories shared ensure special memories for years to come. I’m already looking forward to my next Kenya visit, and having John as my tour guide is an absolute must!

Meticulous planner, professional and accommodating
This company was recommended to me by a Canadian friend that uses this safari services and I was so grateful! They organized an impeccable last minute safari for my friend visiting Kenya from Switzerland for the first time and I. Got us beautiful hotels and John our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the park and what spots to find particular animals. Very time efficient charismatic about his job and professional. We were beyond impressed and can’t wait to do a safari with him again

Professional, reliable and knowledgeable and delivers well-organized and enjoyable experiences
I had a fantastic trip to loll daiga conservancy and maasai mara. The tour was well organized, and the guide was knowledgeable and friendly making the entire experience enjoyable and memorable, I can't wait to visit again and i would highly recommend mukima trekings ltd to anyone looking to explore and have memorable experiences especially the safari and sundowning.

A perfect guide
We got a lovely tour at Ol‘pejeta with a Perfect Guide (Robin), saw so much animals and he was explaining a lot and very kind to the children!
