More Than a Safari: A Journey Through Family History and Heritage
Our family recently completed an incredible journey through Kenya and Uganda organised by Abada Uganda Safari, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Johnathan was the driving force behind organising both legs of our trip—the first in Kenya for my mum and dad, followed by the Uganda portion with my mum, dad, wife, and myself. From the very beginning, every aspect of the itinerary was thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed. What truly set Johnathan apart was his availability and dedication. No question was ever too small, and he was always on hand to help with any last-minute requests or changes we wanted to make along the way.
During our time in Uganda, Richard was our driver and guide, and he made us feel at home from the moment we met him. His kindness, patience, and warm personality were a huge part of what made the trip so special. Whether we were heading out on safari or exploring local communities, Richard always ensured we were comfortable, informed, and enjoying every moment.
The memories we created will stay with us forever—from driving out to see lion cubs as the sun set over the savannah to exploring the rich culture, history, and heritage of Kampala. One of the most meaningful parts of the trip was watching my dad return to his hometown and reconnect with a place that holds so much personal history. It gave our family a deeper understanding of his childhood and the experiences of the East African Indian community who were expelled from Uganda.
This was far more than a holiday; it was a deeply personal and emotional journey that brought generations of our family together. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and one whose stories and memories will be shared with future generations.

Exceptional experience that was enriching and unforgettable.
From the moment we landed we received a warm welcome. Jonathan was friendly and readily available to answer any queries throughout our trip. He was incredibly accommodating with our requests to visit schools, residences ensuring that we achieved everything we wanted from the trip.
We had a great time with Jonathan and driver Isaac.
Jonathan was very funny and very knowledgeable he became part of the family and the time just flew whilst we were there, we felt safe at all times. The food at each venue catered for all our needs. Definitely leant a lot on this trip.
Just need to be aware that food ordered in restaurants do take a long time as they make it from scratch so if pushed for time might be advisable to pre order.
We had unforgettable holiday and this company went above and beyond to make every moment special. I would recommend them to anyone.

Good knowledge for what he does
Jonathan was alway accomodating & go out of his way to support.. we travelled 10 days with him. He has so much knowledge.
As travelled long distances the mini bus was not very comfortable so needs to improve on bus..
