Trip of a Lifetime
5/5

The trip of a lifetime! AAAfrica worked with us to put together our personalized itinerary with tented camps, hikes, village interaction, wildebeest migration, Ngororgora Caldera, several national parks and of course, the Big 5.
Augustine and his staff knew where we needed to be to see the most action. From experience, they could observe an animal's movement and position the vehicles for the best viewing and photos. The drivers amazed us with their ability to spot even the smallest game and birds. With Augustine's narration and nightly talks, we came to love his native Tanzania and appreciate the treasures it holds.

Spotted the Big Five!
5/5

Our safari through the Murchison Falls National Park was really great! We even spotted the Big Five! The ranger, who joined us in our car, really helped us spotting the animals that are hard to find, such as the lions and the leopard. Besides the safari, we also did the chimpansee tracking. It is good to know you should wear long sleeves and pants and good shoes, because some of the people in our group had to hire boots, because they didn't have the right shoes. The tracking was really cool, the chimpansees came really close to us and we saw lots of them.

An elephantastic safari!!
5/5

In januar we met Selma on the vacation market in Utrecht. She informered us very well about the possibilities on a safari. During some emailcontact we got some extra advice for a safari compare our ideas and budget. The safari was, in every aspect, above our expectations. First our excellent guide Humphrey. He was not only funny but know a lot about nature and wild live. Thanks to his exceptionele eyes, we spotted the Big Five(with spouse), the Ugly Five and lots and lots of other animals very close to our car.. Every day he brought some new excitement, took good care of us with nice lunchboxes and good coffee. And after a long safari day we were every time surprises by the hospitality and service of each lodge. The tentedlodges were all very good. We didn't expected so much luxury and very tastefull food.
This safari we will always remember as one of our topvacations. When we go once more to Tanzania we sure go for Humphrey and Makasa!

Really great trip around Namibia
5/5

We took the self-drive option for our trip. Communications before, during & after trip were first class. The vehicle provided was perfect for the trip & came with SatNav and a local phone.
The service from Ivo & his Team exceeded our expectations with everything about the trip explained very well.
The trip itself was brilliant and accommodation was first class, with one exception. In the Soussuvlei area, the advertised hotel was full & we were booked into Desert Quiver (we knew this at the time of booking). This is great if you are self-catering but we had meals included and needed to drive 5km each way to get our food.

Apart from this minor irritation, we had a wonderful time & can thoroughly recommend Dunas.

I was a zoo director leading safaris, Augustine was the accompanying naturalist on several safaris.
5/5

I met Augustine a number of years ago when I was leading safari groups. He was the accompanying naturalist and guide on several of my safaris when he was working for another tour operator. He was very knowledgeable about wildlife, natural history of the Serengeti, and local customs and culture. He was most gracious and attended to any of my guests needs. We have kept in touch over the intervening years and I wish him all success with his own tour company. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend Augustine's Africa Adventure to anyone considering a Tanzania safari; they will be in excellent hands.

Amazing adventure. Terrific guide, comfortable accomodations and beautiful country
5/5

Given the time zone and cultural differences it was very good. Augustine helped plan the safari to our needs. Once on the ground i cant think of one thing I would change. Our guide became family and out 10 yr old talks about the trip daily a year later. I frankly wish I could go back now. You will not regret AA Africa!

Do Serengeti and forget the rest !!!
Overall rating
5/5

We did Serengeti after we did Masai Marah.I had a lot of expectations from Masai Marah but it could have been better. We were seeing a million of Wildebeest and strangely there were dead Wildebeest in every corner of the Park.It was an indication that many which had migrated from serengeti have died here said the guide! It meant the carnivores are well fed.Our chances of seeing kill sequences was not great !But we did shoot a failed hunt by two lionesses at mara and i missed the Croc pulling down a baby Zebra during the famous river crossing as my VideoCamera was focussed with full zoom on another Zebra which was actually supposed to be gobbled up!!

Then comes Serengeti! The Wildlife doesnt hit your face like Masai Marah but there are many many cats in central serengeti. The park was crowded. We shot 9 Hunt sequences in 4 days. All failures:(One was so close-" i could have caught that Zebra" but the teenage male lion with a messy mane made a mess of it:P .In the end again bad luck struck us.There was apparently a Topi which was sleeping while standing (Topis sleep in standing position, they startle like us humans from sleep and start running!)This Topi was taken down by a group of lionesses in a swift pace .We arrived 3 seconds late on the scene :( Serengeti was a beautiful experience but we were unlucky ...Terribly unlucky and stupid of me with my camera .I had to bear some frustration from my better half as i missed the shot were the Zebra was gobbled by the croc in Mara !

Serengeti and Ruaha are stars.Selous has great potential but 90 percent of the reserve is kept aside for hunting which is very frustrating and dumb.Trophy hunting in selous is rampant and for ulterior motives of politicians making money selous continues to be a hunting ground. If this park opens up fully for tourism and sends all the trophy hunters a strong signal to stay at home .This park is will be the best on this planet!Hope it happens soon! Its been proved tourism brings more revenue than stupid ,cruel and destructive trophy huntings!

An unforgettable and amazing experience
5/5

I had an excellent time right from my arrival to when I departed from Uganda. I found my guide waiting for me at the airport as arranged. The food, accommodation, barbecue on the first day and camp fire on the last day was amazing. My favourite was Rhino tracking , the game drive at Murchison falls national park and the boat cruise.

The tour guides were very knowledgeable, professional and very outgoing. I would love to come back after such an amazing time and exceptional service. Scovia is a very great and knowledgeable guide and I wish I can come back some day experience her exceptional customer service once more.

I highly recommend Pamora Safaris Uganda if you are looking for a great holiday with a professional and fun loving guide for an unforgettable experience.

Fabulous - the safari I've always dreamed of. I hope to return someday!
5/5

Ours' was a trip of a lifetime. It was like travelling with your favorite professor. You cannot do better than this! Augustine and AAAfrica’s naturalist drivers teach you so much with their deep knowledge about the wildlife and Tanzanian history and culture. They never mind questions! And always have answers.

Their enthusiasm and humor are infectious. Augustine has given lectures to many zoological organizations here in the states…

They also are absolutely committed to making every traveler comfortable and handling any and ALL issues that invariably arise. Chet's luggage zipper broke...in a day, Augustine had it fixed.

I have always wanted to see the animals of Africa…it was the lifetime trip I’d dreamed it would be and more. I wanted to see animals...but Augustine, my new brother, and team, made it so much richer.

It’s also so good that AAAfrica supports 10 schools. Until you’ve been to Tanzania, that may not resonate but it IS remote...and the children need.

Accommodations were great. The country is beautiful….so much so, I, for a first time after holiday, didn’t want to go home.

Augustine and crew (hey Hillary!) make you feel like a warm family. I can’t imagine anyone would find a better partner than Augustine’s Adventure Africa for your safari.

You'll probably also "adopt" Augustine and crew as your family...good people find good people.

Carla (Augustine's sister from another mother, as they say...)
