Trip of a lifetime!
We planned our first ever African safari trip with Ongeri expeditions and it is hands down, the best trip of our lives yet! We came across Ongeri’s website when we were looking online to book our Kenyan safari trip and reached out to them via email . They planned out our entire itinerary just excluding the international flights . Zippy from Ongeri helped through the walkthrough call before our trip and she was very responsive throughout our trip . Ongeri even made adjustments to our trip due to some changes in our international flights and they made it all so seamless . The experience in Masai Mara was exceptional and everything including the game drives and park fees were pre booked, making the entire process stress-free for us and all we had to do is enjoy the trip and soak in the experience. They had a great driver (Isaac) who took care of the pick up- drop and taking us around Nairobi and he was super helpful . Definitely recommend Ongeri if you are planning a trip to Kenya and if you want to experience the amazing sights of Masai Mara without having to worry about the planning and scheduling, Ongeri takes care of it all!

Amazing
Boris choice of lodges were amazing, truly beautiful places. The accommodations at Escarpment Luxury and Serengeti Serena Lodge were impeccable, both highly spacious and luxurious. The food, service, and staff were all top-notch and there was never anything that was too much to ask. The game viewing at both lodges surpassed our expectations. A difficult trip made easy, a seamless booking experience. I will be booking my next safari with Akondo Adventures.

What a great experience...had an excellent 10 day Safari, Gerson our driver & guide was super.
Saw the big 5 which included a pair of Black Rhino's at distance. Cannot say enough about Gerson our driver & guide. He did everything to make our trip an excellent, life time experience for two 80 plus seniors. Gerson & company have our highest recommendatios. Food and accomodations were first class. Saw many animals & birds close up in their natural habitate. Thanks for everything.

An excellent, well - organised business
Ant was extremely helpful in tayloring our itinerary to fit in with what we requested. He replied promptly to any queries we had and was happy to discuss any requirements.
The tour was very good value for money, the vehicle comfortable and well-kitted out.
Beavan, our driver/camp manager/chef, deserves special mention as he was always cheerful, helpful and happy to go above and beyond.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend this company and will use them again without hesitation

A truly Epic Safari experience
Moses should be a first choice for anyone wanting to take a safari in East Africa. He knows Rwanda and Uganda like the back of his hand. His accommodation choices are excellent and we experienced Africa in an authentic and enjoyable way. Moses is an energetic, knowledgeable and sharp-eyed guide (essential when on safari). He could not be faulted for communication, timeliness and reliability. Moses is an excellent operator who we'd not hesitate to book with again.

Exceptional service
I had the pleasure of a 24-day safari in northern Tanzania led by Felix and Davis of Green Planet Safaris in July 2023. It was awesome!
Felix and Davis have excellent knowledge of the animals, and how to find them. They nearly always made the first sighting, to which they would draw our attention. They would name the animal and tell us the most significant things about its life, habitat, and unique features. I was usually busy at that stage trying to get a good picture and they were very patient with me as I asked them to repeat the name and spelling of the animal so I could record it in my field notes.
They also exhibit a remarkable ability to understand the animals’ behaviour, read the location and the light, and position the vehicle for photography. This includes finding a position among any other vehicles without blocking their view, being conscious of obstructions to our view, knowing where the animal was likely to go, and looking where the light is coming from to get the best possible picture. They visualise the scene as a photographer would. I am pretty sure this is not common among guides.
They were also constantly talking to each other over the two-way radio and stopping to chat briefly with other guides coming the opposite direction. Conversations being about what others have seen, and where, to ensure we had the best possible sightings.
It's hard to imagine how any guides might do a better job.
They worked very hard to make our safari such a positive and memorable experience. For example, we had been unaware that we had two flat tyres on arrival into the camp in Tarangire. Both tyres were replaced and dispatched to Arusha for repair without our knowing anything about it at the time. Felix and Davis were still ready for us promptly at 6 am the following morning with the vehicle freshly cleaned and windows removed.
Exceptional service!
I don’t normally write reviews, but Green Planet did such a great job for us, I’m delighted to provide these comments. I cannot recommend Green Planet safaris highly enough.

One of the most beautiful countries in the world
We did a nice roadtrip from Johannesburg, towards Graskop, Kruger and back. From OR Tambo to Graskop was a really nice road, especially the last part up to Sabie and the Panoramaroute. Those scenics where really beautiful. When arrived in Graskop we went up to Blyde Canyon River over the Panoramaroute and that's really one of the most beautiful views that I've ever seen.
Then we moved towards Kruger, entered through Phabeni Gate and stayed for a couple of nights in Skukuza Safari Lodge in the Skukuza Rest Camp. A really nice park with good tarmac roads, but also enough gravel roads to make it feel more like a safari. We saw the whole big five, so we were quite lucky with that. The leopard was the hardest sighting, but we managed to see two of them. Lots of buffalos and elephants, also plenty of lions and we saw about 9 rhinos. But we were also lucky with other rare sightings like Nyala, Sable Antelope and some really young hyena cubs. Also so many birds, really nice to see so many different species.
We left through the south and stayed for one night in Marloth Park, which is a really nice spot if you want to be outside Kruger but still be very close to the park. We finished our stay in Johannesburg with just a relaxing day at the hotel as we didn't feel the need to go out there in the city as it didn't feel the safest to do.
The food we had was amazing, so much good meat but also some of the South African menus were really nice. The weather was perfect, about 30-35 degrees in Kruger and 24 back in Johannesburg. Really good for a nice holiday!

Excellent location for safari in dry season (September), especially using Lion Rider Safaris.
Best safari vacation ever during September dry season with Lion Rider Safaris and guide Mule Johnson made it exceptional. No bugs, great food, great facilities, huge number of animals. We did Mara Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli National Park, and Crescent Island. All great and different. Included tour of Masai village by king’s son and danced with them.

Another landscape around the corner with so many animals
It was our first experience in Kruger NP and we really wanted to see the Big Five, that was our main goal. We entered through Phabeni Gate on our way through Skukuza. We stayed in the Kruger Safari Lodge, where the staff was really friendly and helpful. Also Skukuza was a nice rest camp with some nice restaurants, we ate at the Cattle Baron and at the restaurant in the Skukuza Safari Lodge, both were really nice. The Cattle Baron had a lot of choice, including some South African specialities.
On one day we had a private tour with Elephant Herd Tours & Safaris, which we can highly recommend. The guide knew the park like it's pocket and knew where we could find rhinos, but also had some good tips to spot leopards.
We managed to see all big five, there were so many elephants and buffalos, especially near the bigger waterholes. Also a lot of lions in the southern part of the park (below Tshokwane). We didn't move further up than Tshokwane.
The views were beautiful, around every corner you have another landscape which makes it so beautiful. It's a very good park for self-drive safaris as lots of the other drivers wants to share information about their sightings.
