Beach and Bush to Sun and Sand
5/5

We booked our Safari trip to Tanzania at the Destinations show in London. We were impressed with the country knowledge and even more with the special offer and it was difficult to turn down the deal. We visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongor crater, Karatu and Serengeti staying at a mixture of tented and fixed lodges. All of the arrangements were just as promised and our vehicle was good we passed a few broken down safari vehicles and the clients seemed very annoyed. The guide was good with an encyclopaedia of knowledge. The beach extension to Zanzibar was very welcomed after being on the bumpy roads for over a week. My family thoroughly enjoyed this holiday or as I call it an experience.

5/5

Good and very nice guide/chauffeur. They organised what we wanted to and see. Nothing was to much for the bureau to do for us. I think we saw Tanzania like most tourist can nog see. First we did a runningrace from 5 dys through Tanzania with one day safari. That safari was nice but one day later we went with Onana travel tours and that was somthing completly different. I can advice to my friend and vryone to book with Onanatravel tours. The cycling and hiking was also special from them and I can advice to cyclers/ADVENTURE PEOPLE.

The Lion King world for my kids.
5/5

My family and I were very lucky to spend 10 days in Northern Tanzania. It was our first visit to that part of Africa and, telling truth, our first "not beach resort travelling". I booked this tour in the beginning of March and from the very first letter, I was satisfied with service, quick, full and polite responds from managers of this company. Due to the lack of previous safari experience, I have completely entrusted organization of our tour to manager Eugene. As a result, after few letters we have approved a 10-day safari in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Natron national parks.
My two children were delighted by The Lion King world. We have seen Big Five animals. Before the trip, I was a little worry about transfers since I was not sure how my children feel themselves during long drives.
As a result, this trip turned out to be the biggest adventure of the life for my family and we are very delighted to travel with Altezza Travel and driver Franky, who is very intelligent, reliable and friendly.

from the first contact which was just to check into whether this would be the year to go, it was professional and comfortable, and not a hard or up sell on any level. lisa was AMAZING. everything was clear and covered and we never felt like we were alone or on our own while traveling. she was even supportive and helpful for the loss of our luggage on flights that were not in our package. i would recommend them to anyone traveling to that part of the world. we will definitely use them again on our next trip to south africa. top notch.

Incredible trip
5/5

Edward and the team did a wonderful job of arranging our trip. We only had a week to see the some of the highlights of Kenya and Tanzania - Lakes Naivasha and Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorogoro Crater. The Masai Mara was my favourite park. We saw many gazelles and antelope, giraffes (my favourite!), lions, a cheetah and elephants along with ostriches and other birds. Our guide, Ephraim, was wonderful - he had so much knowledge to share about the area and its wildlife; he even helped me learn a few words of Swahili!

The best Safari Tour we ever hat !!
5/5

Our Camping Safari Tour with Sunset Africa was a great experience and we will certainly book with Sunset Africa next time again.
The camping material and the car where in a very good condition. First we just wanted to do 4 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro. At the office they advised us to do Tarangiri NP as well, because of the long drive to Serengeti.
We are very glad that we followed this advice, because Tarangiri is a beautifull Park with a lot of Animals too.
On our trip we had excellent and enough food prepaired by our cook Ibrahim. Our driver and guide was Abdul a very nice guy who knew every thing about the annimals, plants, birds, surroundings etc.
They both did everything to make us feel comfertable and give us the trip of our life.
And they did give us the trip of our lives !!!
We can highly recommend Sunset africa as a touroperator, we checked various Touroperators in advance and they were the cheapest !! They offer a lot of value for money.
Thank you guys expecialy Abdul and Ibrahim for this experience and hope to see you again !!!!

Review about Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by Denis D'Arbela

Well worth the trip off the beaten path. I stay at Broadbill lodge which is a tent overlooking the rainforest. Their hospitality was excellent. Meals were good and the accommodations provided a real coming feel. It rained at least twice a day. The vegetation was marvelous. A lot of Ephiphytes on the tree trunks. We trekked about 12 km roundtrip to see the Gorilla's on steep hills. Be prepared to bring rain gear because we were drenched on the way back. Also be ready physically because trekking can be quite a challenge. Birding was limited because of the tree cover in the Jungle I am sure that would be a separate trip altogether given the time frame of my visit. The Ugandan Wildlife Authority rangers are very versed and professional, and very informative throughout.

A beautiful destination for the nature lover who prefers rugged safari without the luxuries

This my second visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On my first visit I went on the game drive on the Mweya side and stayed at Mweya lodge which was great. Everything was rated for. Three wholesome meals and great accommodation. I took a boat tour down the Kazinga Channel where I was able to see a lot of game on the lake shore. Which includes Hippos, Elephants, Baffaloes, Crocodiles, and Birds (African Fish Eagles, Pied Kingfishers, Goliath herons, Pelicans, Spoon Bills, Jacanas etc)

My visit this time was at the Kisenyi gate. I stayed in more budget accommodation at the Njovu lodge near Lake Katwe. It was good for the price. I was able to hire a guide through the lodge as I was driving myself. I finally saw three female lioness' which I hadn't seen the first time, and more of the regular game of which included Elephants, Water buck, Uganda Kob, Buffaloes. I was also able to see Flamingoes which I hadn't before at Lake Katwe literally hundreds of them. It was well worth the visit. One needs to remember that every visit is different, and you always see something new every time you go.

An amazing experience in Linyanti
Overall rating
5/5

Duma Tau camp is a real gem in Linyanti!

We arrived late and were whisked straight off on a safari immediately such that we didn't see our room in the daylight until we returned from the following morning's safari, when the sun had finally risen. But that deserves a first comment - the room was worth the wait! The double bed was comfortable with effective mosquito net and the adjoining bath and shower were clean, with warm water for showering making things easy.

The safari experiences were fantastic - our guide, Lazi, was a real local expert with knowledge of tracking animals. I appreciate that things can be different depending on your guide but we didn't meet anyone else with a different guide who had complaints during their trip. The thing is, everyone's so enthusiastic that they're looking for the best game so they can see it themselves, and we got lucky seeing leopards, wild dogs, lion prides, lion cubs - it was hard to believe we were only there for three days!!

We would go back in a heartbeat. The service was impeccable, and that's without touching on the food which, like most Wilderness Safari camps, was mouth watering.

A fantastic base in Linyanti reserve.
